My current favorite cocktail that uses Braulio is the Amaro Daquiri. Make a 2:1:1 blend of Braulio, Lucano, and Sfumato amari. 2 oz amaro blend, 3/4 oz lime juice, scant 1/2 oz 2:1 demerara gum syrup. Froth with a wand frother then shake with ice and serve up in a Nick and Nora. Garnish with dehydrated lime wheel.
Just discovered your channel this morning. Really excited about these amaro cocktails. My current collection is over two dozen bottles. You got a new sub. Quick correction: Back Bar is in Somerville, MA, not California.
Welcome to the channel, Maxx! Two dozen bottles is awesome. Any fan of amari is a friend of mine. If you have an amaro that you’d like to see me cover, let me know. Cheers!
I love Braulio! It’s interesting to me that all 3 of these use cognac. I don’t have any cognac on hand but I guess I need to get some to try with Braulio.
It's funny, I didn't realize that until after I recorded but I tell you what, it works. Cognac or any quality brandy will get the job done. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
That feels like a surprisingly modern branding considering what most amari I've seen tend to go for! I've heard nothing but great stuff about Braulio but I've yet to try it myself.
They definitely went for a more modern aesthetic, which given the premium price point of Braulio, I suppose it was more than intentional. Though it is definitely worth the price admission. Cheers, Al.
If you can find it, I would definitely say it’s worth picking up. It’s a beautiful expression of amaro. With regards to Genepy, I haven’t had it in a long while but my muscle memory tells me that they aren’t very similar. Genepy is lighter, sweeter and more floral. Braulio is deeper and robust with bitterness, earthiness and pine/resin notes.
• Have you had Braulio?
• Which of these three cocktails interests you most?
• What’s your favorite spirit to sip in winter?
Cheers! ✌🏾

The Amaro Daquiri is delicious! I do enjoy trying different amari in it and toys with the specs a bit. A great template! Cheers!

I couldn’t find Braulio, but did find some Faccia Brutto Amaro Alpino (no clue how similar they are). I’ll give some of these a shot with that!
@@RobBalazs you should definitely try the Yarm recipe. Dude killed it!

@@CoachVinoLLC I hope to find a bottle of it sometime! Definitely on my radar. And good vid too!
Hi Vino, I have never had Braulio, I will have to se if I can find some.
It's not the easiest bottle to find. Wish I could ship you and Rob samples!
Vino, have you ever had Amaro Pasubio? It's more a blueberry note, Amaro. It's damn good.
Nice! I've never heard of it. I'm super intrigued. Will keep an eye out for it with my plug. Cheers, brother!
I need to get me a bottle i haven't heard of this
It's freaking delicious!
Is your third sip always the best?
@@icemancantcook it legit seems to be working out that way. 😂
Yes, one I don't have yet. How does it compare to Génépy? That last one from Yarm looks 🔥

@CoachVinoLLC I've had it on a wish list. Pricey, but will have to pick up a bottle. Sounds like a great ingredient this time a year
@@JMoore-zm5of yeah it’s not cheap but it’s damn good!

It's a bit of a hassle to find but man, is it worth it.
