I think One of the first luxury trucks where they actually started caring about a guys comfort was in 1955, chevy made the cameo pickup truck it was a pretty nice truck for the time, it had everything a bel air would have. that includes, carpet, radio, a automatic transmissions. I’ve even heard some had heaters!

Uh no. That definitely has to go to the Tundra Crew Max, where the entire back glass slides down.
@RyanJL337 The power slide on the Ram was only the center third from 09-18. Titan rear sliders span about 50%. As far as factory goes, only the tundra Crewmax drops the entire rear glass. There have been aftermarket rear sliders though dating back to the days of the Bigfoot cruiser rear windows on Fords in the late 80's.

With that F250 being a diesel, that start delay you are seeing is more than likely the computer cycling the glow plugs which makes it a hell of a lot easier to start and is nicer to the engine. In the older days, (I own a '96 7.3l powerstroke) you had to flip the key forward engaging all electrical and cycles the glow plugs.
I've just realized half of this truck's features are excellent solutions to problems that never should exist in the first place
French20cent I got given one of these to drive for a weekend. I can confirm it is absolutely loaded with bullshit “solutions”. It has an electronic sensor that tells your front wheels degree of turn for off-roading. Why, pray tell, would you need that you ask? Because the steering is so numb you can’t freaking tell where the wheels are pointing in slick situations. I got stuck in a torrential downpour in it and found myself terrified every time it hydroplaned because it had absolutely no steering feel. And don’t even get me started on the trailer back up knob. The only people that need that knob are knobs themselves.

The security entry pad on Fords actually have ten separate numbers capability. The entry buttons function by rocking the button towards the top making a one or rocking towards the bottom making a two. It is the same for 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 etc., depending on which direction you rock the buttons. This makes for a more secure code variance.

They have no problem admitting this. Cost the least to produce and have the highest profit. Getting out of hand though. All started as get around for luxury tax on cars. No luxury tax on pickups.

The sliding feature of the visor was on my 1999 Camry... Also there are many more features with the Key Pad. If you push the last two buttons, it will lock the car. If you input your 5 digit code just the driver side will unlock, if you push a 6th time on the next highest number from your code, all the doors will unlock. Finally, it is one of the only vehicle that allows you to lock your car while it's running! Very handy

I'm from Australia and we have some big cars here but my visit to the US really changed my idea of what a big car is. This video brought it back. Mind you, you have MUCH wider roads, I've seen an occasional US import here and it really struggles to sit in its lane as ours are so narrow. But yeah, no video or image prepares you for when you see the thing in flesh.
Comparing this to my ‘13 SuperDuty XL is just mind blowing. All this luxury packed into the same frame as my beat up ex-oil company shortbed. And that price difference, INSANE!

Hey Doug, I got a camera inside til for ya. For shots like 3:41 use the neck strap for smooth and even pans but pushing it out from your body to make a good amount of tension between your neck and the camera then move slowly. Easy trick for being able to get a smooth pan in tight spots. 👍🏻 love the videos. Keep up the great work!

Great review, expat brits living in the Middle East we have a 2018 Ford Expedition, it’s our second Expedition and it’s properly good for a family of six, not missed a beat.
I got the STX model and ordered it. Sticker came in at 42k with four wheel drive, air, cruise, towing, sync and lumbar driver seat. I intentionally got the rubber floor which I love.
So, if you are mindful, and ignore the dealer trying to get you to buy from inventory you can get it down to F150 levels.

I looking around on lots (and online) sticker pricing, found out the STX model came out in 2019, did a ton of research and ordered my truck after I saved up a year for a down payment. I got a truck that priced in as an F150 although for the same price I could have gotten an XLT, but it was worth it.

Patents are only good for 7 years. Ford has used these for at least 20 so it should be fair game to everyone now.

Superficially just about the same. F450 obviously has dual rear wheels, but the biggest advantage is the turning radius. The F450 is more mobile than an F250, ironically.

I drove one of these for a week for job I worked down in Florida... it is Massive. very useful. Packed 4,000 pounds of sound equipment.
Got a 2017 350 gasser a couple months ago that's loaded minus the massage seats (avg - 12.5 miles per gal around Mt Airy MD, up to 15-16 on short highway so far). :-( Very pleased as I previously had a 4Runner. Wanted diesel, but the wife will use it for her 1 mile drive to work because it doesn't fit the garage at my office. Short trips could damage the diesel if not enough long trips to clear the DPF. I'll probably go diesel next time. But I do enjoy the sound of my gasser.
Lift the second layer of that console storage and there's a mold for a key fob. Place a key there to program it for use with the vehicle or just to hide it so the horn doesn't honk if you step a few feet away with the other key in your pocket.
Also, avoid chrome wheels like I have. Pain to keep clean of brake dust. Go with black 20" wheels unless you have a towing need for 18".
Get adaptive cruise if you can. I don't have it, but I've seen it in action (in a Ford sedan and Expedition) and you can drive on the highway from 70+ down to about 1 mph, then back up without touching the pedal or button. It handles it for you. Set the distance to trail behind the vehicle in front of you and it does the rest.
I've been from 87 Chevy Blazer to 96 Toyota Tacoma, 2000 Dodge Durango, 2005 Toyota 4Runner Sport, 2007 Toyota 4Runner Sport 2, 2015 Honda Pilot (wife) and now... and possibly forever, FORD F350 or 250 would suffice for me really. I love my truck.

Henry Ford was also an unabashed anti-Semite. Things change to suit the market and given Ford's reputation for producing very durable pickup trucks, it's evident that some deem it worthy. However, I'm just not a pickup truck kind of guy and I doubt I could ever (personally) justify the price.
Remember about 15 years ago...when people were driving around in the H2 Hummer for no apparent reason? I used to look around waiting for a tricked-out M1A1 Abrams tank on 35" rims to round the nearest corner. We threw logic out the window for a little while there for a decade or so lol.
Since it cost 80 000 dollars you would think it would have auto locking hubs...but it looks like you hav eto go out and lock them manually...jesus....for 80 grand it should have auto lockers.

I get a kick out of how he marvels over the sliding sun visor. Take a trip down memory lane to the 70's, the sliding visor was pretty much standard equipment on every car and truck.
