Stromae had a huge successful album 'Racine Carrée' (translated Square Root) 8 years ago, and had to stop his musical career due to bad consequences of a malaria treatment. He had very negative thoughts and this song relates to that. Now after 8 years he came with a new album 'Multitude' which incorporates different mixed sounds from all over. E.g. the choir voices in this are Bulgarian. You need to check out other songs of him on this album 'Fils de Joie' (about the situation on sex workers) and his old album 'Quand C'est' (about cancer), 'Carmen' (consequences of social media), 'Papatouai' (about missing father) and others. Have fun and greetings from Belgium (Stromae is Belgian).
@@SaluteTheHarajuku Real ancestry 🤔 let's see a Belgian Mother, a Rwandan father who he never met and brought up in Belgium... . So he's a Rwandan Belgian of a Belgian Rwandan? A half blood? I prefer to see him as a world citizen, he is far more than simply a citizen of one country.

I fell in the Stromae rabbit hole last year and have been a HUUUGGGE fan since. I’m so in awe of this master of art music and lyric. He is definitely on another level. There’s also Tous les Memes, Alors On Danse, Papaoutai, Fils de Joie, Formidable…. etc. HE IS A WHOLE EXPERIENCE🔥🔥 Just Brilliant. Omg. Hes Belgian (He speaks/sings in French) born of a Rwandan father and a Flemish mother.
Stromae is from Belgium 🇧🇪. He’s one of the best artists in the world. I would suggest to react to the official video of Santé ( it means Cheers). It’s a fun song about celebrating the essential workers.
Welcome to Stromae’s unique world!! Please Please Please listen to: Papaoutai - Fils de Joie - Tous les mêmes - Formidable - Quand c’est - Carmen - Santé - Ta fête - Ave Cesaria: pick up any of these, you won’t be disappointed. I can guarantee it 200%. 🙏🏼😊This guy’s a genius!! Much love. 💕💕
In Belgium, we do not know the international success so much, so Stromae wrote his first song (alors on danse) 10 years ago in his basement and it was directly a huge success, everything he did Since then was special. I think he wasn't prepared for this and like many other stars, he made a burnout but as a humble Belgian guy, he was decided to make a break for 7 years and he returned with this Song, why? Because not like a huston, a winehouse or other jackson or cobain, Stromae decided to put his problem in a song to explain people why he thought like that and to help other people who have the same thoughts.
I love when people watch Stromae for the first time and fully understand the depth thats presented before them. Fully appreciating this absolutely unique artist. At the end, when he says "Ive been thinking alot, i really dont know what to do with you. Thinking alot, thats the problem with you" hes taking the position of the friend/family/loved one hes telling his pain and darkness about. Hes showing how painful it is to feel so much darkness and for people to wave it off as 'thinking to much' instead of validating the persons struggle. I think it links up nicely with Joyner Lucas - Im Sorry
Hello at you Stromae is a genius of the music he's unique I loved this artist thank at you for your reaction you're adorable and yours commentaires are really kiss from paris 🤗🤗❤️❤️🗼🗼🇨🇵
Thans for reacting to Stromae, our Belgian Maestro. This song is about dépression, please look at it with translation. He is a genius, nothing from him will disappointed you
Wow!! I love Stromae (a scrambling of the word ‘Maestro’ - which he is indeed!!). He’s a creative genius, beloved globally, and he’s the pride of Belgium (he sings in Belgian French). His Mom is Belgian and his father was from Rwanda, Africa (where he was killed in the Rwandan Genocide while visiting his family). ‘L’enfer’ is off of his newest album - which was just released - and it’s terrific. ‘Sante’ and ‘Fils de joie’ are my favorites off of the new album - the videos are works of art!! The new album comes after an 8-year break - and fans are ecstatic!! His early work is amazing - worth a rabbit-hole dive!! Start with ‘Papaoutai’ (“Papa where are you?”) - the song and the video are terrific. It’s a song about growing up without a father - reflecting Stromae’s own experience - his mother initially told Stromae that his father was away working, not that he was killed, so Stromae grew up longing for a missing Dad. Here’s the link - Enjoy!! th-cam.com/video/oiKj0Z_Xnjc/w-d-xo.html
There is a version of this song where Stromae was interviewed by a lady in the 8 p.m. news at the French television. He is telling about his live during the past 8 years, about his struggles, and then all of a sudden ... well, watch yourself.
Fun (?) fact: Within 24 hours of that interview, mental health hotline in France received the most calls ever to this date. In the days following it, psychiatrists were quoted as saying things along the lines of “within the few minutes this interview took, stromae did more than we have ever managed to do for people suffering from mental illness”. Which says a lot about the state of psychiatry in France.
he's from Belgium and a unique artist. Please listen to: Tous les mêmes - Fils de Joie - Formidable - Quand c’est - Carmen - Santé - Ta fête - Ave Cesaria
Thank you for understanding the videos even tho is not your language! Please do fils de joie, and papaoutai, tous les memes ,and formidable this man is a genius.

As a couple, you should check "Tous les même" ("all the same") from Stromae, amazing clip, lyrics, danse, etc. Actually 90% of his songs are just pure diamonds
Stromae is a fantastic artist that combine fantastic lyrics with amazing beats and always with a great video. I really recommend "tous les memes" for another fantastic video as well as "fils de joie" for a hardhitting message, and as always both have amazing music and lyrics. Other great songs from Stromae are "formidable" and "papaoutai"
Hi Mel and Shawn, greetings from France. Stromae is from Belgian, from his Dad's side from Rwanda. Other songs from him you could try: Formidable, Santé, Tous les mêmes, Alors on danse. Take care

You should see how he came on the French evening news to talk about mental health and segued into this song which is an admission of suicidal thoughts. This song was a public announcement.
Thanks for the reaction! Please react to Stromae - Fils de joie. Its a tribute to sexworkers. In the verses he sings from the point of view of a client, a pimp and a police. In the chorus he sings from the point of view of a son of a sexworker.
Please, listen and react to the song Mr/Mme by Loic Nottet : 6 minutes long and very sincere song about mental health. It's in french with english subtitles (Loic is a young songwriter and dancer from Belgium, just like Stromae)
I can't find more Stromae reactions? As a couple "Tous les memes" will be fun, as a shock "Quand c'est", as a celebration "Santé" and if you broke up he can do "Formidable".
