Awesome. I didnt even know you had a channel until it just popped up in my feed. The photo you posted sure did not capture how awesome this build is! Great job!
@Scaping_the_six I'm not sure if you were able to examine the bottom where the two pieces of plywood meet I assume it was fiberglassed as well but maybe the resin didn't hold. There are videos from pond armor for pond shield and they use only pond shield but apply a first coat then fg seams
@@Scaping_the_six Along with the terrestrial aroids, have you considered using any of the large aquatic plants that prefer to grow emersed? Plants like Anubias gigantea, A. hastifolia, Sagittaria latifolia, or S. lancifolia might work. I was able to get A. hastifolia to adapt to our low humidity growing out of a 60p indoors in Arizona. It took a few months for the leaves to last longer than a week but then they started putting on some size. A 60p isn’t even large enough to be the pot for a full size A. hastifolia though!
@@JohnsplantedaquariumsI normally stick to terrestrial plants growing out the top. Mainly because I know it’s gonna work without any maintenance or special care
Sorry if noob question. But why? Is it cheaper than glass? The different layers of water protection is quite expensive I suppose. I might be wrong though. Or is it better? If so, in what way?
I built this 600g along with the sump and stand for 1500$ if I were to buy just the glass or acrylic to build this size tank, it would cost 5-10k and that’s just for the tank. So it’s a lot cheaper
I had a ply tank about the same size as yours. I kept Malawi cichlids. I .ike your aquascape/ biotope but the tiles make it look tacky af. I.m.o why not use substrate or sand.
Beautiful Tank & Fish! Man, I'll bet that tank is solid & heavy with all those 2X4's! Enjoyed the walk through.
Thank you 🙏
Beautiful tank bro! Awesome walkthrough. Those clowns though! 🔥 and Patricia is fire. Well done. Love this aquarium.
I really appreciate it bro. This video was long overdue lol
Incredible tank set up! glad youtube recommended this one for me!
Glad you like it!
Pumped to see my clowns, L095 and Fire Eel rocking in there!
Awesome. I didnt even know you had a channel until it just popped up in my feed. The photo you posted sure did not capture how awesome this build is! Great job!
Thanks Jeff. Pictures don’t do this tank justice. Anyone who sees it in person is blown away lol
That's a wonderful tank, loved the clowns
Thank you 🙏
Beautiful !! You do know that tiger shovel nose will make quick work of most of those fish in the future.
Your right a tiger shovelnose would eat all of those fish but I have a Limashovelnose that maxes out at 12-18” and is perfectly fine with these fish
@@Scaping_the_six my bad I thought you said tiger.
Gives the guy shit, cant ID the fish..
It'd be really cool to see a maintenance video! Great tank!
Thanks 🙏 that will definitely be a future video
Beautiful tank , looove the large school of clowns.
Thank you 🙏
How long have you had the clown loaches/ how long did it take for them to get to 6+ inches?
I’ve had some of these clown loaches since I got my first tank 7 years ago and they are around 7” now
I love the simple scape
Thank you
Looks good.. Well scaped too..
Thank you
beautiful aquarium. is it tile on the bottom?
Thank you 🙏 yes I used tiles. It’s a asset to keep clean
Epic tank mate you have smashed the DIY thing there and the stock is on point 👌 just subbed pal
Thank you 🙏
Great job. God bless thank you for sharing
Thank you 🙏
Incredible setup.
Thank you 🙏
Awesome setup what's the thickness of the glass
Thanks 🙏 the glass is 1/2” / 12mm
Amazing tank! What kind of lights are you running on the tank?
Thanks 🙏 I’m running 3 60w led flood lights from Amazon
Oh man Ill have to look into those, thanks!
@@Scaping_the_six
Awesome tank and nice work 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Great video and thank you for sharing
Thanks
I noticed king of dyi applied pondshield coat then fiberglass seams then pond shield on top
I basically did the same thing. I just used a different epoxy for the fibreglass than I applied 8 coats of pond shield

Hi Franky I just realized that you had a TH-cam channel also. Great videos my friend.
Ya I just started making videos again after a 2 year break lol
TheFishDen here, dope video bro I love this tank I want to duplicate it one day 😍
Thank you 🙏 you should definitely build one
Awesome set up!
Thanks!

Hi, my name is Steve, what did you use for the base inside the 600 gallon Aquarium? Thanks for a great video.
I used ceramic tiles
Sorry if noob question. But why? Is it cheaper than glass? The different layers of water protection is quite expensive I suppose. I might be wrong though.
Or is it better? If so, in what way?

I like the tile at the bottom of the tank. That looks very nice and simple.
Thanks
Nice looking tank
Thank you
🔥Dope tank 🫡
Thank you
Love this channel bruh, love the fish, and love the build. You have my support, keep pushing. NEW SUB !
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate it
@@Scaping_the_six I shared your channel also. Hope you don’t mind lol 😬
@tabarakaquatics8067 share away my friend
Awesome tank what is the size of the viewing window
Thanks 🙏 the viewing area is 84”x24”
@@Scaping_the_six I’m build a plywood tank I using a 6 foot piece of glass out of a old 150 gallon tank. Same dimensions
As your tank
@@Scaping_the_six going to try to build a sump like you did
@@Scaping_the_six do you have a video of you building your sump
I didn’t make any videos of the build process, I was too focused on building everything properly and didn’t want to waste time recording lol
Sehr schön 😊aber warum ohne Bodengrund?
Thank you. It’s easier to clean like this
What did you use for sealing the 1.5 inch returns through the plywood?
The bulkheads have a rubber gasket that once you tighten stops the water
@@Scaping_the_six would uniseal work or should I just use the gasket I can tighten
Where'd you get the glass? Would like to build one myself.
I bought it from a local glass shop
It’s gorgeous awesome love it❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
Hi was curious what is the black thing in the bottom left of the tank. It is blowing and confused if it is a filter or a wavemaker?
It’s a 5000gph jebao gyre wave maker
@@Scaping_the_six ok thanks but it’s not filter right it’s just makes more current. Does that count as part of the gph of filtration
How do you keep the floor so clean
With high flow. There are 2 returns from the sump that push 2650gph and a wave maker that pushes 5000gph
dude that is amazing
Thank you
@@Scaping_the_six gonna do one soon…have a 75 now
It’s a fun build so enjoy the process
Amazing setup! Curious, how young is Patricia? 😅
Thanks 🙏 she’s 17 years old
Nice 👌🏾 tank 🔥
Thank you
What’s the specs and cost of the viewing glass
87”x27”x1/2” thick. It costed me 350$ Canadian including delivery right to my fish room
@@Scaping_the_six do you think 1/2in will work long term or should I go 3/4
I had a ply tank about the same size as yours. I kept Malawi cichlids. I .ike your aquascape/ biotope but the tiles make it look tacky af. I.m.o why not use substrate or sand.
If you see my newer video on this tank, I add sand and completely redesign the scape
Subscribed to your channel
Another video with good lighting would be even better mate
I tend to leave the lighting low because of all the glare I get from the tanks lol but I’ll work on better lighting
How thick is the glass?
1/2” or 12mm
Tempered or plate? I should have asked earlier. I'm almost ready to commit to doing this
It’s plate glass. If I went any taller with the tank I would have had to go with tempered or thicker glass
Great video bro !
Thank you
Is glass very expensive there???
The glass costed me 350$ Canadian and that’s with delivery
@@Scaping_the_six isn't plywood tanks a hussle to build than glass?
It’s more work building a plywood tank but it’s so much cheaper than building a glass or acrylic tank. It would have costed me 5x as much
@@Scaping_the_six that's what I was asking. Here in India. Tank of that size.. glass will be cheaper overy plywood n other materials..
@@unusualplants2162I got all the wood for free from my job so the most expensive parts of the build was the glass and epoxy
🔥🔥🔥
