The best part about meat pies is that you can use pretty much any savoury filling and it will be delicious. Thanks to the prevalence of Indian food in New Zealand, butter chicken pies have become incredibly common, and I eagerly await the day when bakeries sell beef bulgogi pies. When I was a kid, my mother made some bulgogi pies with leftovers from the meal that our Korean exchange students had cooked for us the night before, and I've been waiting for more ever since! 🙏
Korea has a really good New Zealand style meat Pie franchise called Eun Pie. I saw some videos about them on TH-cam, so last year when I was lucky enough to go to Seoul I made sure to find one of there places and try it. I thought they were really delicious!!! Plus there were some pies that had a Korean twist to them which was nice.

Did you get to sample our other local favourite, fish and chips? I've started watching the Brian and Bam cleaning series, so funny.
