OMIGOSH, you guys went to my favourite NZ beach. I'm interested to know if you just stayed in Auckland or if you went to other cities for your food travel? I hope some locals gave you tips on how to eat/prepare/cook the local delicacies. Also, what made you come to New Zealand for your food quest?

So No one told you we have four seasons in one day. lol Summer time is the best more so after New Years. Best Mussels to try is in Opotiki at the mussel farm owned and operated by Whakatohea Mussel Farm. Further down the east coast you get the best Crayfish ive ever had and an easy dive for them if your a good diver. Always take someone with you for safety and for some areas especially down the east coast of the north island no gathering on Sundays. Auckland is good but its really expensive. Tauranga has a port where the fish market is and also has a fish and chip shop where you can also buy local catch of the day fresh. All the best for your pop up store, May your business venture be successful.
