Indeed! You've built a human-sized fairy house! If you never added another piece, it stands beautifully by itself! And the lawn is a marvel! John's dedication to building a lawn for his sons to play on has come to fruition, all minus the invasive bamboo! You two are a just amazing!

I did do it 45 years before you I left London for austria we went with no place to live with 3 children and not much money not forgetting a new language ...we did it all got lovely places to live all fluent in german 7 grandchildren with good jobs ..living in a beautiful peaceful land enjoying the beautiful happy family life

Fabulous roof John...the added treasures collected & carefully placed around the structure by Tara are just perfect. I have to say it again, I love so much when John builds. 😍 He blends well with the nature and he just gives everything little special touches. Such care as he builds your family’s future ♥️ so beautiful it brings tears to think of the lovely times you will have there in the future. Your warm comfy touches put the icing on the cake, Tara. John I just like to say that in the South East of England it is still warm very odd weather we are having, and the forecast to get really warm at the weekend. Bloody beautiful as Tara said and with all the final touches its a lovely place to sit in the evenings and listen to peace and calm. Well done John its a masterpiece❣. And I can imagine that sometimes the days are not so sunny as it seems in your Videos! The balance between loving your partner but also now having two kids is sometimes so challenging. Not having time for yourself anymore bc of the kids, enjoying quality alone time to breeth is even more rare! Most couples are having difficulties sometimes with that, but you both adding to that every few days new content for us... raking your brains, not sure if we like it or not!

It is one's life's works in progress which in truth never get finished. It is like my husband says, "I am retired and hope to do nothing all day. That way I never know when I am finished!" The deck is beautiful -- looks like a place one could sit and meditate (or relax with a glass of wine and read) for hours!

I just love watching the faces & smiles of your boys as they are on their journey to discover the world that surrounds them. It brings back such wonderful memories of my boy who is now a grown man of 34 years. The journey never ends & continues to warm my heart!
With a 24' - 36" piece of rebar, the barrel rings can become your dinner bell. Strike the interior of the hoop(s) to bring everyone running! The river ... BLISS!!

WhileI was watching your journey down to the river, just as you were getting there, I saw an image of a branch of a plant I recognize. It was a branch with purple berries hanging like grapes. If It is the same I know, it is called pokeweed. It grows in the Southern US in Tennessee and other states down there. The leaves are eatable and those berries make a purple dye. I like to eat the baby shoots in the spring when they are only about six inches tall, but I've seen videos where people eat the leaves when the plant is large. Some people boil the leaves and pore off the water and do it again a few times. When their older they have something in them that needs to go before their fine to eat. After boiling you can stir fry them with some onions and garlic and they come out quite delicious! Look them up on TH-cam to learn about them. I would dig some up and bring them home to grow your own. I don't think we pored off the water when they were small and fresh. Anyway I hope I'm right and those are pokeweed, and you start to grow your own. Good luck, Dennis
