    You are seriously pushing the limits of long range air rifle marksmanship 👍

    I've got the vulcan 3 in .22 and I'm loving it. Could easily reach out to 200 yards. Need more distance.

    You reminded me, need to buy a single shot tray for my .177 Vulcan 3
    A rifle that if you tilt it back, well slugs at least, even the middle weight 13 grain just fall backwards out of the magazine and jam up everything.
    You shooting eggs at 300 Y, is like me trying to annihilate the red center dot on a 2" Shoot N see target at 80 - 100 M, some times it do take a lot of shots to do it

    That's some good stuff! I'm trying long-range air-gunning. 120 yards with a Daisy 880. I have successfully run out of elevation on the scope. Somehow i need to get an adjustable base to mount to dovetail before going any further! I really like those PCP guns. However, it seems at some point they are not "Pellet Guns" anymore!

    • @myairgunrange
      @myairgunrange  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The least expensive way to do it is to get adjustable scope mounts, but the scope base is that I'm using the $475. You can find some pretty decent adjustable scope rings for pretty cheap.👍

    • @chrislang5659
      @chrislang5659 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@myairgunrange I honestly have never seen or heard of adjustable scope rings. I'll have to check that out! $500.00 is a little more than I'm intending to pay on a Daisy 880!😅 Thanks for your time and input, I appreciate it!

    Hi Bill. Aluisio here from Brazil. Have you ever tried to configure your optical sight using your corrective lenses (your glasses)? You are probably adjusting the parallax taking the sharpness of the target as a reference. But this is a mistake because despite being sharp there will be a parallax error. If you change the position of your head (nod your head) you will probably notice that there will be relative movement between the reticle and the image of the target, even though the target is completely clear. This is because of your vision problem.
    Many would say: "...ah ok, so I'm going to adjust the parallax ring using as a reference for adjustment the test you indicated, the head nodding test and observe if there is relative movement between reticle and target (which is which actually indicates whether or not there is a parallax error present)...". So if you do this without using your corrective lenses (yes, the one you use in the video when you adjust the clicks - your glasses), you will notice that when there is no relative movement between the reticle and the target, the sharpness does not It will be one of the best.
    Now, if you make the diopter and parallax adjustments using your corrective lenses, then you will notice that the parallax ring adjustment point where there is no relative movement between reticle and target also coincides with the best sharpness adjustment point. Yes, because the telescope was not designed with adjustments for people with any impairment in their eye health. But yes for people with full eye health. And when you wear your corrective lenses you become one of those people and everything magically goes back to the way it should be.
    Many people think that diopter adjustment was made to replace our corrective lenses. But this is not true. It is just to correct possible updates to our vision problems (which have worsened as we age) due to our negligence in going back to the ophthalmologist to update our corrective lenses. But when you add diopters for the scope, you start to include these inconsistencies (the inconsistency of the best sharpness point not being the correct point that eliminates the parallax error).
    Do the test. Try it.

    • @myairgunrange
      @myairgunrange  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have tried that before when my scope is in focus, there's no movement of the radical when i nod my head back-and-forth. The parallax adjustment has numbers on it and it's in focus at the numbers on the scope. I just started using those readers. For very fine print in dark conditions. It's probably time for me to get tested.

      After watching the video:
      I was the one who asked the question in the comments. Knowing how good you've shot on many of your last videos, I'd venture to say that rain can have a mild effect on group size \ dispersion. I don't think it's very much, but definitely enough to be a pain in the ass on a very small target.

      Hey Josh Yeah I know who is your comment. Yeah they actually shot a lot better than I thought. I ran out of the regular slugs that I normally shoot in the Vulcan. I’ll have to check that sometime and see what the differences between the boat tail and the flat base. Thanks for the suggestion

    Man, do you have the rain. I’m in Las Vegas and can only dream of having that glorious rain. Those eggs are your nemesis. Maybe you should use duck eggs, they’re about double the size of chicken eggs. LOL 😂. As usual, another great video proving that shooting with accuracy is possible in the rain. Do you have any problems with rusting on your equipment? My equipment only gets sunburned.😂 Many thanks for your fortitude to provide videos without the optimum shooting weather.

    • @myairgunrange
      @myairgunrange  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks I'll have to look into where I can get some duck eggs lol. I just put a little bit of oil on my rifles after they get a little wet 👍
