- I received a discoveryopt LHD-NV 6-24x50 SFIR FIRST Focal plane. Discovery optics emailed me and asked if they sent the scope would I do a video on it? The scope is a Budget Scope it’s listed on Amazon for $229 it’s intended to be a light weight hunting scope. I decided I would have a little fun with it and see how far out I can use this budget scope . Overall, it’s a decent scope for the money.
You deserve some form of sponsorship as your videos are selling products because others now see what is possible with well made equipment from these manufacturers and a little creativity . Well done !
I appreciate that! Thanks
Keeping it real Bill...great honest content in real time.
Thank you sir
Nice job Sir!
_This scope looks pretty decent for a budget option_
I ended up putting that scope on my jts aracuda Max. I'll do a video sometime in the future but that's a nice set up budget rifle with a budget scope.👍
keep posting videos that are great
Thank you, I will
Great shooting with a budget scope. I have two Discovery scopes. I got them when I first got into air guns. At that time (5 yrs ago) I never shot much past 50 yrs. As I started to get better and invested in better air rifles, I noticed I was going to need a better scope. I still use the Discovery scopes, they’re mounted on my Gauntlet and Avenger. They’re fun to shoot and my friends love them. Great video as usual.😊
Thanks
Your range has improved😮
Very nice 👌
Yes, thanks
Nice video and for the money seems the optic is reasonably priced for what is capable of delivering.
👍
You must be shooting tethered at 3100 psi to achieve 1020 fps with those 85 grain AVS slugs. Great Texan shooting!
Yes exactly
You mentioned zero at 50 yards, please I think you mentioned also 36 as a figure 36 mills or 36 clicks oh 36 minutes of angle so I’m not question in inches what is the drop at 500 yards please from a zero or 50 yards? Thank you so much ANTHONY.
It was 36.8 mill elevation that’s about 55 feet over the target.
I don’t know of anyone who hunts with an air rifle past 200 yards. I haven’t actually shot anything past a hundred. That scope would do just fine for any PCP hunting rifle.
The scope would actually make a very good hunting. Scope is very light as it illuminated radical very nice glass for the money.
top of my feed 😎👍💯
Thanks for the visit 👍
Good scope for the price. 👍
It actually is .👍
Please can you remind me how 38.8 mil correlates and eventually equates to 55 feet
Thanks again,
Anthony
1 mill is 3.6 inches at 100 yards at 500 it’s 18 inches so it’s 18 multiplied by 36 that’s 648 inches over the target 👍
I seem to have a point of impact shift while using using my tactacam between lower mag and higher mag levels. At 10 power my point of impact vs point of aim in dead on. I crank to 24x and point of impact shifts. I can remove the tactacam and shoot at 24x and my point of impact & aim are bead on. The FTS mount doesn’t mate well with my optic as the illumination controls prevent perfect seating. This is likely the issue. So my use is limited to 10x if I’m trying any thing small at even 50 yards. To be fair I’ve not tried it on any other scope. But was disappointed and if I can’t make a 1.5 MOA hit on a target then it’s a novelty and not a useful tool at this point. So those in the market for a film through scope rig should be aware of this issue. That said I like the camera and Bluetooth interface.
I didn't try it at lower power and it did take some effort to get the tactacam to fit properly.
@@myairgunrange - for what it’s worth the video quality was pretty good especially if you had issues fitting and adjusting alignment
Where can I buy such an adjustment Bracket how much does it cost?
It's a heritage arms cold shot they are expensive there around $475
What ballistic calculator are you using?
StrelokPro👍
