Thank you I just recently switched schools and everyone in my new school learnt about this but I didn’t cuz my old school didn’t taught me. This topic was coming in exams I just realised. I was panicking until my friend suggested me ur video. It helped me a lot and I m pretty sure I will slay this topic in my exam. Thanks 🎉
Thank you for taking the time to write this. I'm so glad it was helpful. Please let me know if you need help with any other topics and I'll be more than happy to do a video on it!
@@themathscircle2995 oh yes! I have been havjng difficulties in the topic “bearings” and “volume and surface area of cubes cuboids prisms and cylinders” if there is a video regarding this i hope u can share it! It will definitely make things easy. Thank you!

The problem is that some text books have stems of tens and hundreds places. The leaves are ones places. Also decimal numbers are included with whole numbers.
Hello, apologies for the slow reply. The range is determined by finding the difference between the highest and lowest numbers. So in your case 18-16 = 2, the range is 2
The ones we circle 'pair' up together and then the ones we cross out 'pair' up together. Some students find that if they just cross the numbers out they forget where they were up to
Hi Jomy, yes you can. For example if you are asked to plot 12.3 you would put your key as 12|3=12.3 or if you need to plot 2064, your key would be 206|4=2064
@@Absforlife apologies for the very late reply. Yes, you can but this needs to be clear from your key and the other values in the stem and leaf plot need to also follow this same key
5 years ago, and still relevant? Heck ya! Thank you so much!
Thank you for this. I’m studying for my term test and these kind of videos are really more helpful than teachers lol. Thanks again

Yes, I agree. We just need to make sure we have a key that clearly shows what the stem and leaf plot represents.
@@themathscircle2995 thanks for pointing that out. I will make sure I am thoroughly checking the key from now on.

Which grade of math is this. I never learnt this in my life but my daughter have these questions in her exam! What’s all these about?!
This is year 9 mathematics in the Western Australian curriculum
So HELPFUL!!!! how do i do this but with a fraction in it? 4|1 = 4.1 the key says afterwords the numbers are 4|3
4|3 = 4.3
Sorry, I am unsure what your question is. Are you able to please provide me with a specific example?
GRACIAS
De nada!
is this saoirse ronan?
How do you determine the key??
It would be best to choose one of the numbers in your stem and leaf plot and use that as the example for your key
What if we have a 16,16 as my smallest number and 18,18 as my biggest number how can i find range
Hello, apologies for the slow reply. The range is determined by finding the difference between the highest and lowest numbers. So in your case 18-16 = 2, the range is 2
Why do we have to circle it instead of crossing it out

very helpful but you to speak a bit louder

Hi

can you make a key in any number??
Hi Jomy, yes you can. For example if you are asked to plot 12.3 you would put your key as 12|3=12.3 or if you need to plot 2064, your key would be 206|4=2064
@@themathscircle2995 could you change that to 20 | 64 for the plot of 2064 ???
