thank you so much for this information my add maths textbook shows how to do it but I didn't understand shit..I come here and 2 mins into the video and I now understand the stem and leaf diagram thank you so much...
thankkkk youuu smmm im soo grateful rn!!!! thanks for spending your time explaining and helping youve helped student soo much and i hope you know that!!!!
Ancient knowledge can reveal so many answers to so many mysteries. In this case, the mystery is mathematics. And the ancient knowledge, is from 8 years ago.
Stem & Leaf is one of the easiest topics in maths so that makes it hard to get confused in the first place. There are many great maths teachers on this platform. Hegarty & Wright would be in my top 3 for starters. If you haven't heard of them just pick a random topic (or a GCSE past paper) & they will be near the top of the search.
Great video bro. It helps a lot but I think you were wrong about the skewness of the data. It supposed to be skewed to the left not to the right. Construct a box plot using the five number summary for a clear picture of the skewness
if its in between 15 and 16 then there will be the same amount of numbers on either side of the median, whereas, if between 14 and 15 then there are more numbers on the right of the median than on the left of the median
This helped me so much cos I missed a ton of school and I missed the lesson on this and this helped me so much I was so confused now I'm so relieved that I get it thanks so much for this vid
@Malsa Muj sure as long as it is true, it would help if the terms you use are misleading in the diagram and you properly defined those terms to what you mean to get rid of possible confusion and to make everything easy to understand. we are not supposed to do fractions=the numberator+the denominator, instead if need be you should put 3/6ths of 76 is 36,since 13*6=78 and 72/6=12 and 12*3=36. you should be doing this kind of specifying when the values of total or some amount you have equals 76 and you would like to represent it as a fraction.
@anna Tan, for exact even amount of numbers given, the median, is literally the middle number, there are exceptions when there are uneven amount of numbers given does not have an exact shown middle number, for those types of sets, add up the middle values and divide by 2. for when the amount of numbers given does not have an exact middle number add up the middle values and divide by 2.
don't you count along 15 from each side because there is 30 number so the mode would be 35. We've done this in class and the teacher said if numbers appear the same amount of times like 44, 44 and 55, 55 then the mode would be 44 and 55
Mr. Arnold, What a great video and great explanation. I shared it with my students and they spoke very highly of it. Well done, never was much explained, to so many, by so few, is so few minutes. 😉👌👌👌👌👌
another method for the range is n ( no. of data ) which in this case is 15 + 1 ÷ 2 which is 8 method : n + 1 ÷ 2 and to find the place you can count the answer you got ( 8 ) and you'll get : ( answer down below )
Is it skewed right or left? I was told if the tails were left, it was skewed left and if they were right, then it was skewed right. I am a novice so please clarify. Thank you.
If it's tails off to the left we say it is negatively skewed as it tails off in the negative direction. If it fails to the right we say that is positively skewed. Hope this helps.
David L.L. I need your urgent help. Get as many people as you can to vote before 10am Tuesday morning. We're losing :-( We need the votes to get us through. Thanks loads. Mr A :- ) www.virginmediabusiness.co.uk/pitch-to-rich/start-up/hegartymaths/

This is not a good video because he makes the comment that there is No Mode to the data. The definition of a Mode is a number that happens the most that occurred more than once. In the set there were many numbers that occurred two times or more. He chose the lazy way and instead on making a large list of Mode's he chose to say there was No Mode which is BAD information. I do want to say though that his use of a Key is a great way to interpret this data and is a GOOD point to add to the information when teaching this concept.
Honestly man you make great videos so helpful in all honesty I couldn't have passed my GCSEs with out ur vids
Bruh I’m doing this shit now as a ur 9
@@joshbarry2333 same haha
Josh Barry i’m doing it as a yr8 but okay
I'm doing this as a yr7
5 years later and I’ve never used a stem and lead diagram once in my life lol
I’m in a middle of a math test rn thank you
Did you pass
you cheating
This has been so helpful to me especially on calculations of range, determination of mode, median and interquartile range
thank you so much for this information my add maths textbook shows how to do it but I didn't understand shit..I come here and 2 mins into the video and I now understand the stem and leaf diagram thank you so much...
Same!
Omg!!! Thank u very much!!! The book gave me a headache but u explained it so easily 😭😭😭
The way u showed it is wayyyy easier than our teacher and book!
Very helpful thnks a lot now i can proceed as i prepare for my HSC exams ☺
Multimodal and left skewed!
Thank you for the accurate explanation and the variety of numbers chosen.
Really helpful video, great speed, great examples, and great self assessment task

Great video. Consice and helpful ❤
Thank you so much 😊 dint understand during lesson but now I understand
thanks now I understand about stem and leaf diagram thank you so much!!!!!!!!!

Excellent lesson Mr Anorld
thank you you helped me so much i have an exam on Wednesday thank you ❤😊.
Very well explained. Awesome sir
The key can choose any of the numbers?
Very clear, thank you!
Really helpful thanks man.
Thank you so much . This was very helpful!! 😊
Thanks for simplifying this..really grateful
Ya thanks I appreciate it man you may of just helped me in my summer exams
thanx!! really helpful!

thanks I understand everything now
This video helped me so much, thanks
I'm in year 9 this helped so much thx my G
Sir, Thank you very much...it really helped me a lot :)
How did you choose the 21 as key?, why u didn’t pick the 31,40 or any other? Is it gonna be specific 21? I’m confused what should I put for my key
really very helpful...thanks
if its in between 15 and 16 then there will be the same amount of numbers on either side of the median, whereas, if between 14 and 15 then there are more numbers on the right of the median than on the left of the median
Helpful thanks
Excellent Teaching!
Thank you man awsome video
Thx so much this rly helped me out
thanks for explaining the interquartile range !!!
thanks my lecturer needs to learn how to explain from you =D
Very Nice...
Thank you so much for this, I am watching this second period and I have a maths test 3rd period
Well explained thanks
Excellent Explanation!
YOU SAVED MY LIFE I LOVE YOU SO MUCHHHCHCJCI
helpfull thnks very much
Thank you matey
Thank you brother!
thanks so much
Helped alot👍🏻
Ty this really helped me out
The numbers are temperatures in *celsius* right?
This helped me so much cos I missed a ton of school and I missed the lesson on this and this helped me so much I was so confused now I'm so relieved that I get it thanks so much for this vid
Thank you it helped a lot
Thanks I really understand ❤️💗
Thank you!
Thank you
appreciated
Legend thanks. The only thing I didnt get was the key now I know thanks bro.
thank you
This is helpfull🤩
This really helped
So The key can be a random from the numbers we are givin from the steam and leaf chart
thank you very much ti helped me
Thank you bro.
This data set has more than one mode. It is Multimodal.
can we take any number for key which is within the data given? suppose here can we take 3/6 means 36 instead?
@Malsa Muj sure as long as it is true, it would help if the terms you use are misleading in the diagram and you properly defined those terms to what you mean to get rid of possible confusion and to make everything easy to understand. we are not supposed to do fractions=the numberator+the denominator, instead if need be you should put 3/6ths of 76 is 36,since 13*6=78 and 72/6=12 and 12*3=36. you should be doing this kind of specifying when the values of total or some amount you have equals 76 and you would like to represent it as a fraction.

Thanks sir
how are you supposed to know what number to find the median?
@anna Tan, for exact even amount of numbers given, the median, is literally the middle number, there are exceptions when there are uneven amount of numbers given does not have an exact shown middle number, for those types of sets, add up the middle values and divide by 2. for when the amount of numbers given does not have an exact middle number add up the middle values and divide by 2.
Can I ask something why did u divide by 2
great wok
don't you count along 15 from each side because there is 30 number so the mode would be 35. We've done this in class and the teacher said if numbers appear the same amount of times like 44, 44 and 55, 55 then the mode would be 44 and 55
Crazy Gaming03 You can't have 2 modes or plus
Yh that's how I learnt it aswell
You'd have have to divide it by 2 to get one answer
thank you very much my book has instructions but you explained it much better.
Thank you, you helped me with my maths exam
Thanks
Mr. Arnold, What a great video and great explanation. I shared it with my students and they spoke very highly of it. Well done, never was much explained, to so many, by so few, is so few minutes. 😉👌👌👌👌👌
That was usful 😀
Skewed!
Where do u get the 2 from
another method for the range is n ( no. of data ) which in this case is 15 + 1 ÷ 2 which is 8
method : n + 1 ÷ 2 and to find the place you can count the answer you got ( 8 ) and you'll get : ( answer down below )
8.1st place ( 1 is the place ) hope this helps and thank you sir for this great effort you have put in this video that helped many of us 😀😁😊 ~ Noora
that is one of MY examples please dont get me wrong or get confused
Is it skewed right or left? I was told if the tails were left, it was skewed left and if they were right, then it was skewed right. I am a novice so please clarify. Thank you.
ya it's skewed to the left! The tails on left side
If it's tails off to the left we say it is negatively skewed as it tails off in the negative direction. If it fails to the right we say that is positively skewed. Hope this helps.

abdulmalik shalabi more like Russian accent
Bad Boy not even close
He is Irish I’m Irish ik
Alex Irwin hehyyyyyy
can someone please explain to me why the key has to be 21? Like how do u know what number the key has to be
@noahyesnoahayehes it doesnt have to make sense lol
but why is 21 the key
