Math is uphill for me, but I understood this easily. Great lesson. But! I have never seen this used in and for anything, articles on economics included. What is a practical, everyday use for this method?
In other words, there is no legitimate reason to teach this to middle school aged kids. I'm a University graduate, on the deans list for academic excellence with a 3.985 gpa, in computer science. I've been in programming and analysis for over 20 years. Know how often I've used a stem and leaf plot? NEVER EVER EVER!!!!! NOT ONE SINGLE TIME!!!
