      @@diytoolreviews8278 Same here. I bought/replaced certain tools based on his reviews. Overall, when it comes to tool reviews & variety of different brands head to head along with a review just about every week, his channel has been very informative & entertaining to watch especially when the tools get put through abuse. Just a few times I thought certain abuse tests make no sense but rarely.

    One thing to mention if you don't. Fiskar's has an awesome warranty. In the states it seems like it is more honored then some people I've talked to in the UK. I have many, many Fiskar's tools and I have had them send out new replacements, no questions asked. I email a picture and that is the end of it, one shows up in the mail. I mean they have led the way in many crafting, logging, and gardening/landscaping tools. They are also one of the oldest companies and had a huge impact on the Finnish agricultural industry.

    Looks like the belt clip will be fairly easy to remove and I don't like belt clips that much anyway. If it's nice and smooth so it doesn't irritate the leg while in the pocket, is easier to conceal and shaped so as to make it easy to quickly feel it correctly oriented in your hand and deploy with great speed, now that's good.

  • @PatriotPaulUSA
    @PatriotPaulUSA ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Get a pair of pliers and adjust your belt clip, no big deal. I have to do it on ALL my knives. I wear heavy duty pants and the pockets are about double thick as normal jeans. Don't do too much go at it slowly and I haven't found any clip I 'make a bit larger or put a bend in the end if you dont want it larger in the gap. Thats why we have tools isnt it? To make adjustments sometimes :)

    • @diytoolreviews8278

      @@diytoolreviews8278 I mean the Milwaukee can only hold 1 extra blade if I’m remembering correctly so it’s not like it has that much of an edge over it but yea they totally missed the mark. Maybe they will remake one with boy a driver and storage. That would be sweet

    • @duncdunc76
      @duncdunc76 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @user-ox7hh9zs4f I'm pretty sure if you ask most people who carry a pocket utility knife they would say that having an extra blade is clutch in so many situations. So many of us I think forget we've already flipped the blade and then are in the middle of a cutting task and realize we need a fresh blade and when we go to flip the sucker we're like dang it. But when you've got another blade hidden in the handle it's so nice.

  • @duncdunc76
    @duncdunc76 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Personally just switched from my all time favorite which was the Milwaukee compact Fastback to the newer 6 in 1 because of the extra features and most importantly the extra blade storage. The compact is the best size for its also awesome button actuation mechanism, but the 6 in 1, even though a bit larger, has won me over with the extra features and blade storage. At least as the best edc utility blade. Fiskars makes some great stuff. I own several of their axes and saws so I have no doubt that the utility blade is quality, but it seems to big to carry in pocket every day imo. Especially since the pocket clip is not nearly as nice as the Milwaukees. But ultimately the extra blade storage and multifunction of the 6 in 1 just has the Fiskars beat handily, at least for edc purposes imo.

    Fiskars uses the same colour scheme on almost all its tools, axes, rakes, kitchen knives, etc., and the rubber is quite resilient atleast on kitchen knife handles. It does not get sticky with normal use and care. If the Milwaukee belt clip is not copyright design there is high probability that it might find its way on Fiskars too, they don't hang themselves on locked designs but do a lot tuning and tweaking on their products.

    Can you bend up the end of that belt clip?

    I own a Fiskar axe. The steel is such a poor quality I will never buy another Fiskar product.

      Axes are tricky. I have gone through a dozen before I could find a good reliable one at a reasonable price. I'll do a review of it soon. Stay tuned.

    I've gone back to my fastback. At first I started noticing the lock up notches on my blades were looking buggered up when swapping out the blades on the fiskar. Shortly after the blades were sliding out when cutting beads or what not, and the locking mechanism would pop itself up. My buddy's is still going strong and I might of just ended up with a lemon...

      I've heard some great thigs about Fiskar's warranty. You might wanna give them a try. Supposedly it's a no questions asked replacement. If you do, please report back here and let me know.

      @DIY Tool Reviews Good looking out! Hats off to their customer service. I reached out to them, they asked for a couple pics, expressed their apologies for the lemon and got my address. Bada-bing bada-boom I got a tracking number for the replacement all in the same day. All in all, painless process.

    I found the belt clip on the Fastback to be an issue. Doesn't provide tension to keep it clipped to my pocket

      Really? Ive had 4 dof fastbacks, still have 3, never had issue w beltclip

      Clip placement was annoying my hand so I took it off, sand down the bump and connected a 5 layer snake knot lanyard. Lanyard helps with pockets placement and retrieval.

    Trying to watch this on my TV and it's the same comparison to the belt clip. Not sure why I can't watch your video full screen.
    Hate is a strong word over abelt clip. Never use that word in a review. What you mean is dislike.

      I have tried watching this one on my tv and didn't have an issue, but TH-cam has been kind of buggy lately with TVs.

    Pocket clips with big ends like the Milwaukee will get caught on stuff constantly and fall out of pockets losing your knife if u r me in a ceiling or crawl space absolute deal breaker for me since it doesn’t carry well as a true pocket knife
