It's not, it's specifically stated that it's xenos, not chaotic If you said it was a weapon of the old ones I'd have nothing against that but its definitely not khornite
Farsight is definitely on the honorable side of khornite devotees, to the point where he might not "fall" in the classic sense. His actions feed khorne, but he might not fall.
The mere fact that Farsight was able to resist the temptation of chaos even when he didn’t really knows what chaos corruption was and how to prevent that sort of corruption, and he is a pretty wholesome character considering he still remembers the lessons that Puretide taught him even his darkest moments.
Considering that Tau souls are dim in the warp and don’t usually drawn in daemons(hence difficult to corrupt or possess), it meant Khorne go out of his way to tried get Farsight to come over and become his champion
It’s honestly even more impressive when you realise that Tau evolution has caused them to actually be worse in melee Combat than a random Imperial guardsman.
@@ProjectTakerIt could be due to the fact that farsight is an expert at fighting orks and that they see red as something that moves faster, tricking orks into thinking the farsight enclaves are more powerful than they actually are. Its just my theory though I could be wrong.
A fun fact about Farsight is that after that 1st war with the imperium, he watch back a shit load of combat footage and basically reverse engineered the codex astartes. Maybe not the whole thing but the important combat parts.
My favourite part (not sure if its canon or not) is that theres a line in there that specifically says 'aim for the ones without helmats because they are probably commanding officers'.
@carlzerris6566 no helmets is still one of the dumbest things astartes can do. Idk why it pisses me off so much, just wear the fucking metal head cage.
If I'm remembering TTS right, even Kitten didn't have anything negative to say about Farsight and just changed the topic when Magnus brought him up. Considering Kitten's raging hatred for the Tau, I say that counts as high praise.
Just finished reading the first Farsight book. Has one of my favorite characters: Por'mal'caor, a water caste Tau who cannot tell lies and is possessed by a demon of Tzeentch. The demon can't tell lies (pretty much one of Tzeentch's favorite things) while in his body either. His conversations are great.
Oh god, that daemon’s existence must be one of perpetual agony. Any plot it wishes to plan out is immediately dead on arrival due to his inability to lie.
I like to point out that Farsight isn’t necessarily only tau to define the ethereals and start his own faction. He is the only one we know and has live to tell about it, which honestly makes him even cooler.
I kind of like that the ethereals are given SOME justification to what they do. They're surprisingly nuanced for a 40k dictator class whether it was intentional or not. Like, on one hand they are technically mind controlling their subjects, but they also actually care about their society even if they have little to no respect for individuality. Like, they've done more as a species in 100 years than humans have in 10000, that kind of unity is astounding.
@@thisgoddamusernamestoodamnlong In fairness they haven't been kicked to balls even once as hard as humanity has been multiple time. But Yeah 40k is one effed up place, I would be interested to seeing a tau story from etherials point of view.

Of course a sci-fi ronin mechsuit piloting samurai general wielding a vampire sword that makes him semi-immortal would be cool?! What kinda question is that?
Well about O'Kais - He was skilled like Shadowsun and Farsight. He appeared at Dawn of war Dark Crusade, where eventually he lost to the Blood Ravens and Captain Thule by losing their Ethereal - Aun'el. This broke Tau's fighting spirit and Kais could only leave the planet and save those who could be saved. After that he became kinda extra violent against Imperium and humans. Because of it Ethereals do not use him so much, because Shadowsun doesnt have such problem at all. Kais is a good tactic commandor like Shadowsun, he is just very violent which is a big no-no to Ethereals. It is possible that he is also the main hero of the Fire Warrior Video Game, but i'm not sure of it.
Even if he isn't the Protag from Fire Warrior, which I believe he is, Kais is now a Doom Guy for the Tau, the aethereal Call him "The Living Weapon", in the book War of secrets, he solo an Astartes chapter Monestary, albeit one with a skeleton crew and weaken defenses, he wipe out a terminator squad, a few Astarte squad, a librarian, a chaplain, the chapter master himself almost got kill before he ordered a lance strike on Kai's himself to stop him but Kai's managed to escape, at the end of it all, Even his fellow Tau doesn't consider him a Tau because of how deadly he is. Honestly i think the ethereal knew Farsight could be a problem (he questioned things often) and sent him on a crusade against the empire hoping to make him a Martyr. but that's just my opinion
His first encounter with a demon has hand to hand fighting the possessed water spider on his own ship after taking back Veorlas. A lot of people skip over that and I'm not sure why. The water spider was a huge part of Crisis of fate, and is also evidence of a Tau being possessed by chaos.

My favorite thing about the Farsight Enclaves is that they're the only uncontested good guy faction in the entire setting. Warhammer 40k is supposed to be grimdark, sure, good guys are a myth, and everything is a moral gray, but even if the Farsight Enclaves are the good guys it 1: makes them more unique, and 2: their lack of size and territory just goes to show how screwed up the rest of the galaxy is. If the most morally upstanding faction is just this miniscule sliver in a galaxy of insanity, you can tell things might not go well.
Love the recap on Farsight. I've loved the character since 3rd Ed when the Tau were introduced. One piece omitted, though, is elaborated in the novel Farsight, when dealing with the Tyaranids. That biotoxin the earth cast scientists developed could be administered only one way: self sacrifice of those scientists to be consumed by the Tyranids after infecting themselves. It was a major event that proved to Farsight that the cause of the Greater Good lived on, stronger than ever, without the guidance of the etherial cast.
As Tau absorb other races into their empire, I want to see some minies reflecting that. I mean orc fighting for Gorka good, tau gardists, that the Greater good protects...
Sucks for the actual Enclave rules they took away a lot of their melee options for suits, the Eight lost their official datasheet in 9th, and Mont'ka isn't currently available as a detachment rule. Also my usual Commissar Yarrick Major Mini request for day like 210 or something I can't recall. xD
a tau/imperium alliance would be an overpowered force, the raw might of humanity plus the innovativeness of the Tau. And Guilliman is logical enough to genuinely consider it. However its very likely the inquisition would sabotage it and try to assassinate Farsight regardless of an alliance
Hard to tell Even the most common sense Imperials dont play nice. Maybe since Ultramar is under siege? If Ultramar clears up a little...VERY unlikely, probably more likely that Thr Tau will just be absolutely butchered if anyone decides to take them seriously
Ok Major, you got me. I like mecha suits and chain guns, and now you have a mini that combines both. That aside, I wonder for how long will GW keep the Tau "away" from the big happenings. With the enclaves, nothing stopping them from getting FTL travel and getting involved in the mess with the galactic center.
Speaking as a Tau player there aren't really many ways for the tau to enter the main stage for 3 main reasons. First and most obvious, their size. The tau really dont have the forces to do much more than slowly expnad their little bit of the galaxy. This is why GW should have made them much larger when they were first released. Second, their travel speed. Startide nexus aside, the tau ships really cant get anywhere with any real speed and unlike the imperium can't just throw ships into the warp until an armada gets out at their destination Finally is their general knowledge of the universe. Farsight himself is only just grasping the conepts of chaos and the like and what he know he knows he cant really fightr against so there is no reason for him to risk the enclaves for that. I mean look at the imperium. They are huge yet all they are really doing is providing scrap for the orks, Biomass for the nids, bodies for chaos, slaves for the dark eldar and to a much lesser extent but still an extent, converts for the tau.
Those cyber samurai models of yours are pretty amazing. Its a really interesting idea for a faction. Super-Humans supported by alien troops, mechs, drones and robots. Shame I'm poor and aren't into tabletop/painting mini's. I kind on just want them for decoration.

From what I understand, it's simply the Tau combat doctrine to attack from a distance and not get too close. Like, it's not that they're obsessed with guns, they're simply not supposed to need CQC because engaging at that distance that means something has gone terribly wrong. Plus, they have Kroot for that.
@@RelativelyBest very true, but stealth suits seem to get quite close and personal. Dont certain castes have slightly dodgy bones too or am I misremembering that? Agreed on the doctrine part, you'd think they'd have them for emergencies though
Since we are talking about Tau, you should make a video on the Goddess Tau'va, a warp entity that is the personification of the Greater good, its connection to Shadowsun, the implication that this may cause another faction within Tau empire similiar to the Farsight Enclave and may even cause some conflict between Shadowsun and Farsight.
@@letmecommentstupidyoutube1338 In the novel Shadowsun: The Patient Hunter, a young Shadowsun almost drowned in a underground labyrinth during a test when the apparition of Tau'va save her. While fighting against the Death Guards in the Nem'yar Atoll, she encountered one of the statues of the goddess built by the Auxiliaries that worship Tau'va. It triggered a flashback of her near death experience which angered her and ordered the Earth Caste to destroy the temples. However she was getting desperate against the Death Guards and ask the Auxiliaries to pray to Tau'va to help defeat the Death Guards. She did a boarding action on the Death Guard Flagship to stop it from entering the Startide Nexus and the prayer that the Auxiliaries were chanting had deadly effects on the Death Guard. Though they failed the attacked, their prayers were answered as Tau'va seize the Flagship when it entered the Nexus and trapping it in the warp. After the battle, Shadowsun ordered the Earth Caste to stop the destruction of the Tau'va temples.
His newer mini is bloody gorgeous as well. I really wanna start a Tau army, but I don't like that the Auxiliaries are still fine cast. I mean they did away with all the resin, right? so can you even buy them any more? The current, strong Tau lists still run them. maybe they've been updated and I just haven't seen them yet? EDIT: nope, still got the old vespids. maybe I can find a 3rd party version. I'm not buying that ancient crap from them. They honestly need to speed the hell up with releasing stuff. They'll be sitting there at Notts, and they just drag the releases like a big old, nut-sack across our faces.

I will keep asking for this because if there is one thing that all 40K factions have in common it's being stubborn: Could you make a video on how someone could permanently kill one of the 4 chaos gods and (more interestingly) what would happen if they did ?
I don't have an answer on how to kill them but I heard somewhere that even if one of the chaos gods die, the warp will return to the peaceful and serene realm it used to be
the only method is to starve them to dead, and that can only happen if all sentient beings with a soul in the galaxy stop felling, so, everyone dead, being a null or getting necrond
God, the new minis look insanely awesome. It's a damn shame that they'll only be available for a week because I don't intend to go into the tabletop just yet.

Anyone else still waiting for their tank top from the merch drop to arrive? Just checking to see if this is normal (US) because I know he said delivery could take a while.
Now ya might say "Oh but Majorkill aren't those basically Tau?" My question would be "GW? How is it you are being out done at the modern industry you helped invent? Get good scrub."
@majorkill. Since the Legendary commander Farsight managed to win against the Tyranids once. Will he pop up as "god ex-machina" when the galaxy will be force to face the evergroing threats that the bugs are, saving everyone for the greater good?
Gotta admit, if GW licenced out to some Japanese company to make a 40K anime, I'd be down for that. A Japanese studio would actually put all the gore and madness that is 40K on screen faithfully as opposed to Western companies who'd ruin it.

Gulliman: A tremendous-
Lion El’Johnson: Amount of-
Rogal Dorn: CRINGE!
A bunch of them would immediately hate the echlesiarchy and try to tear it down, causing a civil war and likely for a great loss in the imperium
Rogal Dorn would probably be doing the same thing that Guilliman is doing.
I don’t know about the others.
I wish I wasn’t so broke so I could start with purchasing those minis
I feel ya! They'll be available in the future though, promise!
Sucks for the actual Enclave rules they took away a lot of their melee options for suits, the Eight lost their official datasheet in 9th, and Mont'ka isn't currently available as a detachment rule.
Also my usual Commissar Yarrick Major Mini request for day like 210 or something I can't recall. xD
RIP
I feel like they’re going to make some more farsight specific models and maybe are leaning into turning them into their own faction
Those new mini's are fucking dope btw!
Thank you! That's high praise! Many many more to come on KS! Gloom and Glory!
Biggest mistake is to underestimate the Tau, even bigger if you get hit by one going full meteor!😂
Man I love those fire warriors, can you make a pack for kill team?
Have to thank you! Your brilliant vids were one of the influences to get me into 40k tabletop. Picked up a Ork combat patrol over a week
Gyattdamn those minis make me wanna start painting. Holy shit
high praise indeed! Thank you
So will Ultramar ever play nice with them?
That would be a power up.
a tau/imperium alliance would be an overpowered force, the raw might of humanity plus the innovativeness of the Tau. And Guilliman is logical enough to genuinely consider it. However its very likely the inquisition would sabotage it and try to assassinate Farsight regardless of an alliance
Hard to tell
Even the most common sense Imperials dont play nice.
Maybe since Ultramar is under siege?
If Ultramar clears up a little...VERY unlikely, probably more likely that Thr Tau will just be absolutely butchered if anyone decides to take them seriously
Nah, Ultramar has its own Alien Buddies. Isn't that right, Yvraine?
@HeIsAnAli, the more allies, the better
Ok Major, you got me. I like mecha suits and chain guns, and now you have a mini that combines both.
That aside, I wonder for how long will GW keep the Tau "away" from the big happenings. With the enclaves, nothing stopping them from getting FTL travel and getting involved in the mess with the galactic center.
Glad you like them! They were a joy to create
Startide nexus aside, the tau ships really cant get anywhere with any real speed and unlike the imperium can't just throw ships into the warp until an armada gets out at their destination
Finally is their general knowledge of the universe.
@@carlzerris6566 That all makes perfect sense to me!
@@ShaneMikaelson Thanks. Love the models you created.
Those cyber samurai models of yours are pretty amazing. Its a really interesting idea for a faction. Super-Humans supported by alien troops, mechs, drones and robots. Shame I'm poor and aren't into tabletop/painting mini's. I kind on just want them for decoration.
Literally same.
That's what I do at this point also. I'm really glad you enjoy the models though. They'll be on KS eventually
@@ShaneMikaelson Man why they are so cool! You've got some talent! I want those just for the sake of having them even tho I'm not a player at all...sadly my health doesn't allow me to work, so no money for me heh... Well at least I known they look cool especially the psykers.
Anyway, keep up the good work and never stop doing what you are good at! (and that's coming from fallen/falling artist too)
@@MisticHD. If you send me your details, I can ship some to you eventually. Thanks for your kind words
@@DungeonsNDreadnoughts I'm sorry for very late response, had some struggles this week.
As for your kind offer, I don't really know what to say except thank you, though shipping them to me would be probably harder and I don't really deserve them in the first place. Though I can send you my details through (I don't really know through what exactly maybe Instagram?) And you would do with this what you want.
(also sorry for potential errors , it's currently hard to type anything with my fingers)
5:19 whoa whoa Kais? That's the guy you play as in Fire Warrior! He's a beast!
As a Loyalist who proudly serves the people of the Imperium against the Xenos, Heretics and forces of Chaos, this Tau is a Xeno I respect.
Can we get a video on Aun'shi? Thats the one Ethereal worth anyone's respect since he actually goes into melee combat.
Video start: Advert
First 3 minutes: Fomo Advert
Let’s get into it: Advert
What happened man ?
Ive always wondered why Tau close combat isnt just pulse shotguns or something. It kinda fits
@irishwristwatch2487 air caste have very light bones, but wouldn't matter much, as fire caste are the ones that go into combat.
I have never clicked so fast on a majorkill video
Since we are talking about Tau, you should make a video on the Goddess Tau'va, a warp entity that is the personification of the Greater good, its connection to Shadowsun, the implication that this may cause another faction within Tau empire similiar to the Farsight Enclave and may even cause some conflict between Shadowsun and Farsight.
Tau'va is connected to Shadowsun?
@@ionfreak83 Thanks for explaining
Holy shit i don't play tabletop bit these models are fucking insane, great job
Thank you :)
can't wait till they make fusion blades for mechs, then we can get a true melee unit for tau
Considering they went an entire edition without the fusion blades i not holding my breath we will get them. I hope we do
Can't wait to get some of those models friday, they'll be so much fun to paint!
im so sad i cant grab the cyber dynasty but tis ok, they look sick majorkill!
They'll be available in august! Glad you enjoy them :)
Talking about the GOAT today. Love to see it.
@Majorkill, its so dope to see you just take, off from like 1500 subs to a half a mill in less than 2 years.
At 11:30, I hadn't noticed until now that the Tau 'symbols' on his shield mean 'tuer' which translates to 'kill' in French
Lit. Glad you talked about Farsight. He's really cool
Are those cyber Samurai renders? They look super sic regardless, but too clean to be real models.
A video about how every primarch reacted to the fall and or death or disappearance of every primarch would be pretty cool idea ngl
Those models look so good. Im poor. Good luck to those who can get them.
They'll come to KS in august and will be 3d printable, hopefully you'll have a chance to pick some up
He's Char Aznable if he didn't want to fight for vengeance.
Man farsight is amazing
HE'S A TAU WHO CAN FIGHT IN MELEE COMBAT. THE EMPEROR APPROVES.
HeresyLab has some cool proxies for Vespids and Kroot!
@@MrJordwalk They do great content!
@@MrJordwalk Thanks. Hopefully I can get them in the UK.
@@D00M3R-SK8
HeresyLab based happens to be a British company!
@@MrJordwalk great to hear. thanks.
You should do one on Mkoll from gaunts ghosts dude is a straight up monster, took out a dark eldar in hide and go seek
Farsight is literally the Char Aznable of Warhammer
Fascinating, we have come to the point to where your minnies are, cheaper than GWs, yet still look Better!
So what do you do for a living
Farsight: be a badass
Khorne: i know right, anyway i was wondering if you'd like to join my crew
Farsight: "No, fuck off."
The coolest Tau who sold out mad quick this weekend lol
Mate you would not believe how much you always make my day when I sit down after a hectic day to have lunch and see that you uploaded one of your gems to youNoob. Cheers for that!
Preordered his model along with the Lion this weekend, too cool not to!
The only ad I nvr skip is majorkills’ major minis’ 😂 each day I’m tempted evermore
I just started reading the books. It's always satisfying when I come across a familiar topic
I wouldnt kill a single gretchin for the emperor but I would challenge khorne to a 1v1 if Farsight told me to do it. LONG LIVE TO COMMANDER FARSIGHT!
The farsight enclaves are literally the only good guys in warhammer 40k and that’s cool enough for me.
Wish I got paid sooner then Friday 😢 hope you have then come back, would love to have them in my current cyber samurai army lol
They'll be coming to KS in august! Gloom and Glory!
I wanna see a video on puretide at some point considering he was the mentor of the greatest commanders the tau have currently
Farsight Enclaves are the best civilized faction. I love them a lot, and hope they expand a bit soon.
I will keep asking for this because if there is one thing that all 40K factions have in common it's being stubborn:
Could you make a video on how someone could permanently kill one of the 4 chaos gods and (more interestingly) what would happen if they did ?
I don't have an answer on how to kill them but I heard somewhere that even if one of the chaos gods die, the warp will return to the peaceful and serene realm it used to be
the only method is to starve them to dead, and that can only happen if all sentient beings with a soul in the galaxy stop felling, so, everyone dead, being a null or getting necrond
hey yo those major minis were super creative as well as legally distinct. Like absolute bangers well done.
God, the new minis look insanely awesome. It's a damn shame that they'll only be available for a week because I don't intend to go into the tabletop just yet.
lets go more tau stuff
just the thing to brighten my day after i find out that they nerfed tau
If 10th had a Farsight Envlave Detachment I will play.
Hello Majorkill,
Would you please make some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, the Ecclesiarchy, and the High Lords of Terra? Pretty please? Thank you.
hell yeah love farsight enclaves.
You didn't mention that the ethereals had also allowed tau lives to die and they also denied him reinforcements when he needed it most. further pushing him away from the ethereals.
Man, that Wes guy is pretty good.
Anyone else still waiting for their tank top from the merch drop to arrive? Just checking to see if this is normal (US) because I know he said delivery could take a while.
I love Shas'o kais though, loved dark crusade
Oooo you teased Aun Shi there. You gotta do a full Aun Shi video though. He's just as badass as Farsight if not more I think
Fuck, that's sick.
cool video majorkill
Now ya might say "Oh but Majorkill aren't those basically Tau?" My question would be "GW? How is it you are being out done at the modern industry you helped invent? Get good scrub."
Been waiting on this one. I dont play warhammer but the tau will definitely be my first army. I love the little communist smurfs
What i hope for is a GW farsight and the eight bundle just a mecha Pack
@majorkill.
A Japanese studio would actually put all the gore and madness that is 40K on screen faithfully as opposed to Western companies who'd ruin it.
are the mini's heads swap able with GWs? not a fan that the 'Fireblade' has an open face
Yes they are
@@ShaneMikaelson Cool, i'll be sitting down and looking after i pay bills this week
@@rankothefiremage You take your time. If you don't pick them up from MK they'll be available on KS eventually also. Don't worry about missing out
If anyone wants a more in depth dive into Commander Farsight I would recommend The Amber Kings video on him. Shits 3 hours long but if you have some minis you have to paint it's perfect
