Following using rice berry face serum by litttleextrra for three weeks, here's what I experienced: Benefits: It effectively softens and evens out the skin, giving it a subtle glow. I've also noticed a decrease in my genetic dark circles (avoiding the eye area is recommended). It has also helped fade dark spots on my sister's skin. Cons: Personally, mine is dry and dull skin, and using the serum daily exacerbated my dryness. I recommend using it three times weekly along with a quality moisturizer to avoid dryness. I haven't seen any noticeable improvement in tan or pigmentation issues in first 3 weeks. Update after two months: After nearly two months of consistent use, I regard it my holy grail serum. It has started showing positive results. My skin is glowing, dark circles lessened, and dark spots faded a lot. So patience is key when using this face serum.
The riceberrry vitamin c serum is actually worth it. It has significantly improved my hyperpigmentation in just a few days of use. It gives a glow and has a wonderfully smooth texture. I simply loved this face serum and will surely recommend it.

Vitamin C is by far my favourite active ingredient in skincare, I found it better than retinol as an anti aging as I cannot get a prescription retinol just now, so I’m just gonna stick with vitamin C as it gives me far better results than over the counter retinol, also it improved my acne scars and overall skin texture. I’m using the cerave vitamin C serum and I find it excellent, it doesn’t irritate my skin and I use it every single morning, I store it in the fridge so it won’t oxidise as fast, I just finished a whole tube and I bought another one, great value for the money!

I grew up drinking one liter of freshly made orange juice a day, 4 school days a week, from the age of three to the age of nineteen. Say what you will, but these are my experiences: for starters I NEVER got the flu. I didn't know what it was; I heard people talk about it, classmates who got sick but I had no idea. Until the winter after I finished high school, that's when, for the first time in my life, I got the flu. When I was nineteen, I was run over by a car. All I remember is seeing everything turn upside down like when you do salto, but I didn't feel it. I was hit against my right leg and I'm said to have rolled over the car and knocked a bus stop pole before I fell to the ground. I woke up in the hospital with a concussion, a wound just above my eye that they were closing at that very moment and let's call it a very colorful leg between my hip and my knee. Didn't break a single bone. I started university when I was 37, people thought I was only slightly older than they were, about 25. The other day we went to an open class for my eldest daughter to check out that college. The students who were effectively following that class, thought that I was her older friend. I asked them how old they thought I was. After some deliberation they said 32. My daughter and I laughed so hard. I was 46. I'm too lazy to actually do that myself, but there is a store half a mile from here that has a machine. So every two or three days I walk over to the store and get myself 1,5 l of fresh orange juice. To this day I call it liquid gold.
@@Orthilia before I started taking antidepressants for postpartum depression, I was - what we call - a batten with a butt and two mosquito bites, so that sugar you speak of, did nothing other than give me energy. Now, much older, I notice that the days that I drink orange juice I don't even crave sweets. So there's your sugar for you. Nobody will ever convince me that orange juice is bad for me, unless something changes with me. @@ccatarinajm7114 It's not only the caloric intake I'm worried about, but also the number it does on your blood sugar levels. While orange juice is healthy in moderation, and most people eat more sugar than they should, 1 liter per day is excessive. Obviously you're convinced this is healthy as nothing has happened to you or your daughter specifically, but you're generalising your lifestyle based on yourself to the entirety of the population, against what's recommended (max 1 glass of juice per day). I know someone who's convinced that the "sun is healing", so when he had an operation that left some non-aesthetic scars, he decided to tan them to "heal" it. Straight against the doctors orders. But he was convinced about his beliefs. Tanning increases risk of cancer, and the risk becomes much higher for damaged skin. This explains my issue! I started using a vitamin C serum and evening mask a few months ago and while they were so great for my skin, a patch of dry skin appeared next to my nose and keeps getting irritated. It started to heal when I stopped using the serum and the mask for a while. Now I know why. I'll keep using the serum at a lower frequency and avoid the irritated area then.
I get this too under my nose it gets red and itchy and dry. I get it from glycolic acid and retinol products even though I don’t put it under my nose. It’s when I go to put my face lotion on I must still have it on my hands even know I wash them it starts to get irritated. After trying several products to make it go away I found something on Amazon that actually works. As soon as I feel that itch coming on I use it and it takes it away. It does have an unpleasant smell to it but it works. It’s for seborrheic dermatitis and eczema relief.

Definitely no need to get the Skinceuticals; Timeless makes an identical formulation for a fraction of the cost. The Inkey List is a good budget-priced one too and both of these come in opaque pump containers.
I'm still kinda afraid of trying it since I've read at least 4 different stories of people saying vitamin C had the opposite effect on them and actually made them break out
hey Dr. Gary! Love this video (and all your videos). Is there a best time to apply a vitamin C serum? (i.e. if it's best to apply in the morning, should it go on first or after sunscreen?) Thanks.
Great video! I'd love to see a collab with Dr Maren Locke from The Budget Dermatologist youtube channel. You both show the literature behind the ingredients/products which is super appreciated.
Why didn’t you talk about the difference between the budget, mid and luxury options? If they all contain the same thing what is the reason for going for the other aside from the concentration?
Channel hot and flashy did a ph test on the ceravee vitamin c and it wasn't at the correct ph level to even enter your skin.... So even tho some say they have the correct ingredients it seems they aren't being formulated properly..... I really appreciate her channel for that, she makes many great recommendations and backs them up by testing
Gary, we need a video on Christina Aguilera. She did something recently and we need to know what - she looks absolutely incredible, like she’s in her twenties again.😍
Thanks Dr. Gary! Have tried a few different vitamin c products and my favourite is the inkeylist (the ordinary one burned my skin). I personally had to patch test a couple to find one that works best for me (Sephora let’s you get samples in stores). I have Fitzpatrick type 2 skin and wear spf 50 on top of vit c daily. Would love to see your am and pm skincare routine.
What can I do for Senile Pupura? Mine has just gotten a lot worse. I used to get small red bruises, now I get huge, dark purple bruises as a result of the smallest brush against something. It’s awful. Does topical vitamin C help? I can’t take marine or bovine collagen, I’m allergic.
hey doc. what are your experiences with stem cell therapy for hair hair loss? its something i have found just a few days ago and cant build an opinion because of lacking data. do you know about it? Do you know any sources or places that do that?
Does it lighten the skin? Because then I'm losing my natural protection from melanin. I feel like retinol and vitamin c research may only have been done on light skinned people. Is it better to lighten our skin with vitamin c and retinol and get their other benefits or just use our own natural melanin protection?
Maybe one of the girls here can gimme a hand, 😃 I'm a guy looking for some eye contour, what would you recommend? Any brands or ingredients I should avoid? Totally lost tbh
CVS and rite aid have tons of eye shadow and mascara products. Generally brown eye shadow is flattering coupled with black or brown eyeliner topped with the mascara on your lashes. Wet and Wild brand is super cheap and affordable and the drug stores have sales on makeup often. I would avoid buying any makeup from the dollar stores as a lot of the stuff is off brand
Confess the Lord Jesus Christ with your mouth and believe in your heart that He died for your sins on the cross and God raised Him from the dead on the third day; repent of your sins and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit!
Well not to sound like a narcissist Getting old stinks. If you're an older man than you want women to treat you well looking younger than your age is highly beneficial. People in general treat you better when you look younger.

I’m glad my kids had some orange juice with dinner today.
I'm still kinda afraid of trying it since I've read at least 4 different stories of people saying vitamin C had the opposite effect on them and actually made them break out
Ascorbic acid makes me break out when it’s in my skin care. It blisters my skin. I wish I could apply it topically.
Just looked at your website , but says the skin care products are all sold out , I’ll have to try back
Do you guys know of any good cruelty free / vegan vitamin c skincare product? This is excellent for a gift I want to give on Christmas
Thank you, Dr Linkov for the highly informative video.
hey Dr. Gary! Love this video (and all your videos). Is there a best time to apply a vitamin C serum? (i.e. if it's best to apply in the morning, should it go on first or after sunscreen?) Thanks.
Sunscreen should be last if you're still wondering. And the morning is a great time to apply.
@@cindyh303 if you use a chemical sunscreen, it should go on first. A physical sunscreen, should be last.
That's why I baby my lemon and orange trees ❣ a guarantee vitamin "C source."
Plus they have incredibly lovely smelling blossoms 😊
So what about acne treatment? Will there be a video about this?
Great video! I'd love to see a collab with Dr Maren Locke from The Budget Dermatologist youtube channel. You both show the literature behind the ingredients/products which is super appreciated.
Why didn’t you talk about the difference between the budget, mid and luxury options? If they all contain the same thing what is the reason for going for the other aside from the concentration?
You’re store is sold out! Will there be a restock bf xmas?
Thank you for the emphasis on product stability and packaging
Channel hot and flashy did a ph test on the ceravee vitamin c and it wasn't at the correct ph level to even enter your skin.... So even tho some say they have the correct ingredients it seems they aren't being formulated properly.....
I really appreciate her channel for that, she makes many great recommendations and backs them up by testing
Exactly. Angie’s ph test video was eye opening. Timeless vitamin C is definitely the most cost effective.
@@rachelkay8354 I love that serum I've been using it for for years now and I can say it's amazing!!!
Gary, we need a video on Christina Aguilera. She did something recently and we need to know what - she looks absolutely incredible, like she’s in her twenties again.😍
Always love your videos 🫶🏻
Can you do a plastic surgery analysis of Josie Davis from Charles in Charge?
How do I treat scalp inflammation? I get it a lot especially after I shower.
simple Chlorhexidine is not ok?
Thanks Dr.
Never noticed any difference with a vitamin C serum (or retinol)
What can I do for Senile Pupura? Mine has just gotten a lot worse. I used to get small red bruises, now I get huge, dark purple bruises as a result of the smallest brush against something. It’s awful. Does topical vitamin C help? I can’t take marine or bovine collagen, I’m allergic.
Hi Dr. Gary, what are your thoughts on the vitamin C serum from Timeless?
hey doc. what are your experiences with stem cell therapy for hair hair loss? its something i have found just a few days ago and cant build an opinion because of lacking data. do you know about it? Do you know any sources or places that do that?
Is there a vit c mask or something that can be made from say fruit or something?
Can u do video about Jane Fonda plastic surgery plssss
How are you growing back hair?
found weird that the doc recomends Loreal vit c serum as it oXidizes after short time
All vitamin C serums oxidize easily. Keep it out of the light.
Hey Gary,
what do you think about the new Data on verteporfin and will you use it in your Praxis ?
Hi doc is 3-o-ethyl ascorbic acid better than l ascorbic acid ?
Does it lighten the skin? Because then I'm losing my natural protection from melanin. I feel like retinol and vitamin c research may only have been done on light skinned people. Is it better to lighten our skin with vitamin c and retinol and get their other benefits or just use our own natural melanin protection?
Natural protection from melanin, you might just need sunscreen.
Melanin is a quite poor protection though...
Hi dr what are your thoughts on ice fue?
Can you not dissolve a vit c pill and use that topically 😅
What does scaring alopecia look like?
Please make some more videos about scube3 and give some updates
Can you use vit-c that’s meant for oral supplementation on your skin?(mixed with water or face lotion)
My type of video!😊
Hi, how about keeping it in the fridge? I do, then it doesn’t turn orange.
Yes keep it in fridge turning orange is meaning it is no longer effective and has gone bad.
@@juliesherbondy482
There’s such a big difference.
How are You Sir,
Hi doctor, I just want to ask you that alopecia univesalis occur without alopecia areata or not, does it occurs by generalised hair thinning?
Do I need to wear high spf unscreen while using vitamin C ?
Vitamin isn’t sunscreen so yes
Oh! Someones immunesystem fought back! Nice! 😊
I juiced lemons because I have a lemon tree and just splash my face with it works a treat can juice and put in bath easy peasy
im addicted to bell peppers
Looking at you doc… I think you could use a little “Tweak “ here and there too.
vitamin c oxides on my face and makes my skin tanner so I stopped using it
Confess the Lord Jesus Christ with your mouth and believe in your heart that He died for your sins on the cross and God raised Him from the dead on the third day; repent of your sins and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit!
Amen bro ❤
The hell does this have to do with vitamin C.

Vitamin C1:27, my favorite Bible verse. Thank you!

Well not to sound like a narcissist Getting old stinks. If you're an older man than you want women to treat you well looking younger than your age is highly beneficial. People in general treat you better when you look younger.
It's great in your diet but as a skincare serum? Overrated and overhyped.
The picture before the video starts (before and after pic) is a little childish to be honest. You don’t put vitamine C serum on your teeth I imagine. 🙈
I love your channel and I love that you provide education in such a manner that it’s understandable by many people. I think you get that from BKLYN 718 💖

Lololo. But your left side was not real. Still love your show.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I guess doctor came from russia 🇷🇺
Just eat fruit and veg
Title is garbage. You're better than that.
“How topical vitamin C can help your skin“. Too truthful for you?
From the thumbnail it looks like u are promoting wiping a citrus fruit on the skin. Then u talked so much and totally lost me.
Fake and deceptive thumbnail and talk.
can i apply moisturiser after it in the morning? also using adapalene in the evening, they combine fine together?
