You're videos are good. If my previous comment came off as a insult I did not mean it in such a way at all. These videos are very cool. And the quality is good. I'd love to see a video on your 3d printer and the settings you use to get the physical panel looking good. Do you think you will ever do PCB design or will it always just be single arduinos panel? 😊
All good. No offence taken. As I showed in this video, in my slicing software Cura, I just use infill density 15%. Standard quality. In my 3D printer, I choose standard defaults for PLA, which is 200 for the filament and 60 for the bed. Now the printer is showing its age and I have to use those student purple glue stick to make it stick. But settings wise all pretty standard. So nothing much to show you about settings with a video. As for PCB design, I have limited knowledge. Of course I can self teach on this like freecad and arduino from youtube. But it seems like a hassle, like making backlighting and fussing with positions of a dozen small LEDs for even lighting. My focus is to build fast and fly in VR. Hence I do one layer panel, no backlighting, no PCB etc. I don't want to spend years making the panels look perfect which is not necessary if you fly VR. Those who still use TV or monitors and want cool backlighting or very sharp looking panels of course can spend time doing CNC and PCB to make even the wiring look cool. I just want a functional cockpit to fly in. It depends on your need.
The next video will show the RICP panel. This one is going to be huge. We'd look at building four new knobs, brackets to hold dual encoders, a special cover with cut out text for the REPLY light indicator etc. Lots of good stuff to check out.
@simpitacademy awesome I agree in VR it doesn't matter, I agree, but I will say Mixed Reality is fast approaching, it would be worth it to make videos about those topics aswell as people are interested. I will say I am excited, what will you end up using to attach all the panels together?
@@Datttsnake I will try to build a frame that looks like a cockpit lol. Building frame made out wood is harder than freecad design. It has to be sturdy without being too heavy or complex. But I have no interest in making light panels or pcb at the moment. I'd rather learn to fly and operate the aircraft, which is complicated itself, navigation, radio, UFC, many weapons. All these will make up another playlist for my videos.

much appreciated!

Great videos. Will you be uploading .stl’s. of the completed panels to any sites?
