Ha, this is from my late teens/young adult period. Those days no one could go past singer Axl Rose and his 'mates'.
Guns 'n Roses had huge rockhits at the time. And topped the charts regularly. With guitarist Slash as a whole extra attraction. (Who played with a.o. Michael Jackson (black or white) and Lenny Gravitz ( mama said) too)
GnR made a good ammount of music for movies too. Like Terminator, Interview with a Vampire, James Bond.
Patience is a rockclassic, Sweet Child of mine a huge hit, Paradise City a stadiumbanger, November Rain epic. Lot of their songs still appear on Charts of best songs of All times.
The band has had a lot of troubles and member changes, over the years. Breakups and get together agains. Axl being an enfant terrible. But they are currently active with Axl ánd Slash and Duff taking part, who were there with the original band in 1985.
Amazing band, worth looking into, if you're a rockfan.
Went to see ACDC in 2017, when Axl stepped in as guest Front man (Brian wasn't able to perform). He was phenomenal! Love Guns 'n' Roses and this song is a banger!

OMG this brings back so many memories of my teenage years this quite literally is one of the best rock songs from one of the best albums ever created appetite for destruction you need to check out sweet child o mine and paradise city they will blow your mind and yes they are still very much active I would also suggest November rain that song and video is epic a real masterpiece thank you so much for this reaction I really enjoyed seeing you discover them ❤

Patience is another amazing song by Guns N’ Roses
IKR the intro sounds like a tornado siren 😂 I always thought it was some multitrack …studio stuff.. but if you watch video of their live shows, it was Axl’s insane primal scream. His voice is often polyphonic and he can sing overtones too. I read his six octave range is maybe bigger than Mariah Carey’s too 😂 he can sustain notes like a trained pro opera singer too

I saw them in concert twice back in late 80s and early ninties. By the time I saw them the second time, they were too busy doing drugs and partying to show up on time to their own concert. Axel He has a great rock voice. Appetite for destruction thier 1st album they blew up. Sweet child o mine I loved off that one and double album use your illusion 1 and 2 so many good songs but November rain is a standout. Knocking on heavens door great cover and live and let die. Some of the best music from the late 80s early 90s.

I had the same happen. Saw them first when they opened for Motley. The second time I had the pleasure of hanging around the back trying to meet them & Slash came over. Don't know how he actually walked over, but omg he was trashed. His people had to come over & literally drag him back to wherever he came from. Still love them though. Appetite is one of the best albums ever made.

When Axl, Slash and the boys were on their game they were the best.
Wait i forgot about Civil War...super important message. Check out their live performance in Paris 1992. You may want to pull up the lyrics because they are pretty powerful and unfortunately are still Relevant today.

These are just a few but every line in the song packs a punch.

I always loved this song since my early childhood in the late 80’s and early 90’s , when the commercial for GTA San Andreas came out with it in it , I was like Hell Yeah

Axel in his prime had a 5 almost 6 octave range! he could go a low as Barry mannalow and higher then Beyoncé. So it was something to hear for sure!
FYI: Axl Rose has a 5 (sometimes 6) octave range. I think from E1 or F1 to Bb6. Something crazy like that. Amazing range.
Bless their hearts, I’m so glad they’re all still alive…although I don’t know how. I read Duff and Slash’s autobiographies and I thought I’d need rehab! 😂
I said I’d never pay to see them live in the 90s because Axl Rose was a hot mess of a diva with more psych problems than Lauren Hill .
Saw them twice at work in 2017 and 2021…drooled both times. Slash is still hot AF.

Axle Rose has a very unique and wide ranging vocal range, I read once once that his range is wider than Mariah.

Axl, Slash and the gang were a band I always wanted to see but never got the chance, although I have seen Slash play with Myles Kennedy. Now that's another voice you should check out; Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge - great vocalist!

Axel Rose can hit 5 octaves on the vocal scale. He bottoms out at 5.5. To put into perspective....Mariah can hit five, and Whitney can hit 4.
