Fellow travel creator here. I am a greek American and we did a great series to some more touristy islands. I called it a love letter to greece. I am looking forward to going back and trying some of these smaller islands. You guys did it right. Really beautiful islands!
γειά σου! Yeah the touristy islands are great fun but for us we love the smaller ones which feels like a real traditional Greek experience. Kalymnos would be our favorite Greek Island. Hope you get to visit it when your next in Greece. Thanks for your comment 🤠👍🏽
@@FairDinkumAdventure i think we were mainly constrained because we took a cruise but we did see paros, and also Spent time with family on the island of Evia for 3 days and we also spent a few days in Athens.
@@FairDinkumAdventure evia is the second largest island and is were a lot of greeks live in the beautiful villages on the mountainsides. I loves exploring this one. The largest city is chalkis and the island is quite long. Lots of beaches, small towns and village. You might have heard about the wildfires a few years back in the north of evia. Also you can take a ferry from there to a few of greeces island out of the port of Kimi

Just discovered your channel :) wow awesome vlog !! and Kalymnos is on my bucket list for sure, you guys did a brilliant job of showing the relaxed side of the dodecanese islands. As a 1st generation Greek australian I try and get over there as much as I can, you guys inspired me to get back over there and also eat at those amazing restaurants. Tim, !! I think you are a little bit Greek?? your brief chatter was pretty good mate :)
Thanks so much mate glad you enjoyed the video 🤠👍🏼 Na im not Greek but I grew up in a large Greek community in the Riverland SA. We were taught Greek at school for 10 years, then moved to Darwin and worked with Greek people for next 8 years so know enough to get bye 🥴 Where in Greece is your family heritage? Whats your favourite Greek Island? We love discovering new places and recomendation for places to visit 😉
Important things for Greek salad and ouzo: 1) Do not divide the salad into separate dishes, the salad is eaten in its own dish by everyone and this gives the opportunity to dip the bread in its juice, (beware, if you try it it is addictive and has a lot of calories). This habit also means family reunion, or close friendship, but if you meet strangers, then get some on your own plate. 2) How should ouzo be drunk? First we put 1/3 or 1/4 ouzo in the glass, then we put 2 or 3 ice cubes and 1/4 cold water or less if you let the ice cubes melt a little. The clear color will turn white and then it is ready to drink. Never drink ouzo before eating something, the taste changes 100%. Ouzo is usually drunk with seafood and slowly for maximum enjoyment.
Loved this! Was so easy to watch. You guys are awesome! Been to Greece 15 times but never to these islands..definitely want to go there after watching. Tim I was surprised when you spoke Greek! Where did you learn mate?
