You’re composition skills are getting MUCH better. Really Enjoyed this one. I can see you’re starting to learn/experiment with new things. This is a beautiful piece. All I would say, just for my personal taste, is to vary the inner voice. It gets a bit repetitive and sort of kills the beauty of the melody a little. But congratulations on this!
With respect to the four-chords-repeated comments, all I would say is to sometimes switch out the last chord (usually minor iv) with a V. It's a very common cadence but will offer some variety. Besides that, I really liked it. The repeated motif is wonderful I did already mention this in another comment (which has been deleted due to it being really unrelated) but I would love to arrange some of these themes for string orchestra (my preferred ensemble), if you'd allow that.
It's a beautiful piece. Introducing a change, as you did toward the end on the left hand, adds interest to the piece. Not changing the left hand. Introduce something similar but different half way, then the chords. I very much enjoyed the piece.
This is great. Could do with a bit of harmonic variety because from what I could tell, it was basically 4 chords being repeated for the entire length of the piece. It’s barely short enough that the harmonic homogeneity isn’t really that big of an issue. As another commenter said as well, you could also vary your left hand rhythmically.
thanks for the criticism, as you said this is a 4 chord piece, but i like it that way, i like the same left hand patterns that way, I want this piece easy to play, easy to memorize, no need to show skills for a emotional piece, that's my ideology.
@@MaskedPianist57 its not about the skills, you can keep it very physically simple but extremely harmonically rich. and generally with that comes more emotional depth.
All I have to say is - this is amazing. I am also a young composer (kinda dismotivated by his composing teacher who prefers modern music while I prefer more romantical) and I must say, your works really inspire me and tell me to keep going and maybe one day I will reach your level!
Very nice piece! Honestly I'm envious of you, as I too am a young composer uploading some pieces on youtube, but I'm not nearly as prolific оr famous. More power to you!
Excuse me, but you should not underestimate yourself. I just listened to your Waltz in Eb and you clearly show more compositional maturity than many of these youtube composers, who post a piece a day which would at most qualify as drafts. (not necessarily the case with Masked Pianist) Not being "prolific" is just a sign that you take time to CRAFT and develop a piece, and that you're doing what to do not only for your pleasing, but for the sake of creating ART. Keep taking your time, learning and creating awesome pieces!
@@gigaguy1773 Thank you for taking the time to listen to one of my pieces! And I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, you're right, one should take the time to create worthwhile art, regardless of popularity and volume of the output
if this reminds u of a Chopin Nocturne i wonder if u've ever heard one cuz i fear Chopin used some more than only 4 chords on repeat for a whole piece also his compositions have harmonical contexts and logical cadenzas (unlike that iNteResTinG piece above: Eb - Eb maj7 - Ab - Ab minor ?!!?), they include modulations and sequences and they are structured in the classic way, i.e. they include an exposition and recapitulation i don't want to say that this piece is crap (i'd rather call it iNteResTinG) but i think it's a shame to equalize THAT with CHOPIN
Dude, this brought me to tears. Its all so wonderful and beautiful, keep up the great work!!
This is a beautiful piece! I could almost see it in a Pixar short, or as part of a longer nocturne or similar. Definitely subbing for more!
thanks for the sub!!! I appreciate it a lot!!
This is an amazing piece! It sounds nostalgic in such a beautiful way. Great job!
Simple yet beautiful.
I love calm compositions like this and its really beautiful!

Hey this is great! from one young guy composer to another I really enjoyed this, reminds me of one of Chopin's Nocturnes

Are you Chopin from the past coming into the future? I love your music, especially this one!
It sounds like a nice warm-up exercise, certainly more entertaining than Hanon.
you seriously need to make ur piece longer somehow because this is beautiful and having only a minute and a half to play it is too short
I will try
Great!
Three? So beautiful, but some weird.
Pourquoi anonnez vous votre jeu de piano comme un débutant ?
You could try to vary your left hand more with scales/mini arpeggios etc. to make it more interesting. Otherwise great work!
real nice bro :) and thats a sub from me
