Then there's the simple fact that it IS a live performance. In the studio and on the albums, it will almost always sound better. If you hear a singer's voice really good on the original. Then when it's live if the microphone is shit. Then this happens. I had a freind who has a really fucking good singing voice. But when he did a school talent show. they gave him a really cheap microphone. And he sounded like shit. Despite that he sounds really fucking great.

She can't hear herself sing SHIT and that makes it incredibly hard. Given the fact that this song is fucking insane with the vocal range you'd need to pull it off, I feel for her. She did very well under the circumstances.

The voice is a tone lower than background music, but I am amazed how she holds parallel tonality, I this case it would helped a lot for music producers to lower backing track with one or two semitones to make life of the singer easier

Having listered this live performance again a few year later (without listening the mv version agin and I can't sing), my thought is that for the first half, it was a few keys lower than the mv version, for the second half, she tried to sing on the correct tone but her voice just can't do so at that moment, I'm now much appre iate her effort in the event and tried her best:-)
