Pat and AJ Hawk be to differ. They never came out against the packers but did against Gutez and I don’t blame them even without the relationship with Aaron. Gutez been rebuilding since he drafted Love. If Aaron doesn’t win those MVPs Love would have started the following year and Love would have been stuck with a roster of nobodies because Tae would have sat out until traded as well. Gutez punted 4 years of Aaron’s career to rebuild. But McAfee and Hawk were all in on Love but same with literally every person and analyst the weapons were unproven.
I’ll say this Green Bay is good at rebuilding teams at the beginning and end of careers for Favre and Aaron. Both got their rings early on. Love looking to follow. Hopefully this time they can maintain building teams through out Love’s career. Was too young to really grasp team building with Favre, but with Aaron that team he took over was a year or two away. Love this team same thing a year or two away. But can always come early. I was expecting playoffs and depending on matchups like last week I thought GB would win. Not the way they did. I was there and after that first TD the energy disappeared from the fans and team. Next week I think it’s close it’ll come down to if the Packers D can stand up much like Aaron’s young and entire career besides Super Bowl year it won’t come down to Love. I think he’ll dominate unless they are in a hole because of defense. If they get past next week. In my mind they are Super Bowl bound.

I think they wanted Love to learn from Rodgers, too. Rodgers was pissed at the front office over drafting Love, but I give him credit for helping Jordan. Rodgers could've acted like Favre and said it wasn't his job to help his replacement. But he didn't. He kept his beef with Murphy and Gute. And constantly said Jordan was great, would be fine, and that he loved that kid. Plus, they brought back Tom Clements, who coached Favre, Rodgers, and Love. Basically set Love up to develop and take over after Rodgers. This is a better approach than throwing a rookie qb out there to sink or swim.

One playoff game, big call. He does look savage tbf. But they sacrificed the last three years of an MVP qb for this. Patriots took Sony Michel over Lamar, won a Super Bowl as a result. Now they’re screwed but have a superbowl. Gotta ask the question is your team in it to win the Super Bowl or be relevant. Packers seem to need relevancy with how their business model is..

There is plenty of headlines and stories about this game, an absurd amount of it is all about how dem cowboys choked again, get rid of Dak, get rid of McCarthy why did they play soooo bad. Why is it all about shock in how poor the cowboys played... It is about time to give credit (more than a 1 liner) about how just maybe the Packers were by far the better team, better prepared and hungry to show what they can do!!! Answer this. If Lover Boy is that great why did he sit for 3 years? Also why did GB only win 9 games and fell into the tournament at the finish? And why is their F/A a paltry +33? Dallas were that egregious one could not have written it worse on paper.

@@gregjay6134 I'm guessing Cowboys fan? Not sure who you are asking, nowhere did I say "...Lover Boy is that great...", though he has played pretty great this season. particularly the last half of the season including wins over teams still in the dance including KC and Detroit. Then followed it up going into the playoffs with the youngest team in the league to become the QB of the first 7 seed to knock of a 2 seed, while also being the youngest team to win a playoff game, in Dallas against a 12-5 Cowboys team that hadn't been beaten at home since the first game of last year, while putting up the most points against dem cowboys in their playoff history...that all the experts said couldn't happen!! Why did he sit for 3 years? Hmmm, tough one, oh, same reason Rodgers sat for Favre, great legacy QBs (or maybe you don't consider Rodgers, 4 time MVP, first ballot HOF good). And actually they won "their way into the tournament" and entered with a pretty loud, impressive statement thump in Jerry-world! Thanks, actually you convinced me that Lover Boy is that great!! Jordan Love looked like a superstar. Like Josh Allen Joe Burrow level QB. He was making superstar throws. That was my biggest takeaway. And as a Steeler fan my biggest takeaway is, that whoever is drafting QBS in Green Bay should come to Pittsburgh to give a seminar in scouting Quarterbacks.

Its remarkable how much Love seems to have picked up from Rodgers in his playing style through osmosis over those three years on the bench. The hopping on the balls of his feet, the back foot throws, the movement in the pocket and the hard counts are all Rodgers traits. As a die hard Packers fan, I'm already happy that they broke a 50/50 regular season win percentage in their first "rebuilding" year after Rodgers. I'm elated that they utterly destroyed the Cowboys (Cowboys didn't lose, the Pack BEAT them)....and I'm excited to see how far that they go in the post this year.
I'm not sure if they can best the Niners....right now, and I'm OK with that. They've exceeded my expectations already this season. What I'm ecstatic about are the coming years, because they have a LOT of young talent, led by LaFleur and Love, that's only going to get better. I think we may have another SB ring or two coming that we should've gotten in the Rodgers years.
Heady times for us, for sure! GO PACK GO!

Rich Eisen was one of the many football experts on TV saying Jordan Love was a massive bust and not worth a crap in mid Oct. I’m still waiting for these football “experts” to say they were wrong in their assessment. Still waiting to hear from cowherd, Ryan, eisen and plenty others. All they have to say is I was wrong about Jordan love

If Green Bay can figure it out defensively and this offense even marginally improves to the extent you'd expect from literally exclusively first and second year receivers and TEs as well as a first year QB....I don't think its crazy to think Gute may have punted a SB run in 2020-21 in favor of the opportunity of multiple runs maybe even this year but certainly in the next 4-5.
The man hit on 4 legit starting receivers and 2 starting TEs, in back to back drafts, honestly all with superstar potential, and timed it exactly with the starting season of his new franchise QB.

Low key, Green Bay actually beat the Cowboys worse than the 49ers did. They were in complete control of that game from the opening possession - sending the message, that we expect to score when we have the ball. They did. Six touchdowns + another on defense.

I was a Jordan Love believer from the beginning back when all the dumb packers fans were totally panning the pick. That was one. Another was the short three-yarder to Doubs. That was a crazy good throw his lineman were blown away by. Another which caught my eye was, I think against the Chiefs, where he was under pressure with the pocket collapsing on both sides, stepped up calmly and going a TD to the back of the end zone. The kid can play and has all the tools, for certain. Defenses will adjust with more study of him, but he will adjust as well.

It's a longer season with the NFL adding additional regular season games to the schedule. It's not the best team but sometimes the hottest team going into the preseason that wins it all. It helps to have success when you're so young and able to recover from a long season.

What makes the Packers so dangerous is they have 5 receivers and 2 TEs (plus more that I may be forgetting) that are good! You have to have a few good CBs and LBs to defend this group, and it’s almost impossible. Give them another year, and this will be the best receiving group in the NFL
