Adam . That filter looks like it's never been changed ! Regarding the heater . They are pathetic ! Father and brother had mk2 's . I had 2 Daimler 250's ( sweet engines!) They all had awful heaters and that's in S.W. England where the temperature doesn't get anywhere near as cold as yours 🥶. Thanks Adam. The left lower rear section of the front wing looks ready to explode . And your "S" type is also Opalescent Golden Sand . 😊
And that oil filter is the reason you should ask to have the old service parts shown or returned to you. Back in the 80's I asked to have my oil filter returned after a service and was presented with a metal cased one piece oil filter...mine was a paper cartridge type and I wanted to check it for swarf as it had recently had some rebuild work done on it. The air filter had been blown "clean" by an airline. The oil was either the same oil or replaced with used and the oil filter hadn't been touched. Their excuse? The apprentice was set the task and he did the wrong car! I was fuming! They then carried out the service with me watching and didn't charge me.
With regard to the oil filter, there is no way that was changed, I hate it when these monkeys don't do a proper job they give mechanics like you and me a bad name, luckily he has found you and I know you will always do a good job. Can't wait to see you get stuck into the S Type
@@LivingWithAClassic next time you do an oil change on that car you might consider doing an oil flush, I always do it on ALL of my cars, something we did in the Jaguar shop I worked at.
Wondering if you have to change the Sparkplugs, the Attachement of the Airfilter, wich is attached with the Cylinderheadnuts has to be removed. Is it ok to remove the four Nuts without harming the Head?
I look forward to seeing your next adventure video each day. I'm sure it's a tough challenge but highly enjoyable. Thanks Adam.
I'm enjoying this advent video calendar, even the short ones. My LWAC calendar arrived today and it's a really nice quality item. Thanks.
Love the regular videos, well done for keeping it going
Lovely to see

Whoa! Very very old oil filter. Even just by the way it is built, it looks like a product of the 70s or 80s.
Coming along nicely Adam best regards Andy Allen.
Hi Adam, calendar was in the mail today, looking great! Thank you very much. Keep on the interesting videos, cheers Stefan

I’m glad you agree. It can’t look that bad after 10 months 3,000 miles

You can change the plugs without removing the attachment for the air filter. No need to remove it
