Probably a dumb question but if you work nights during the week you get $3.50-$4.50 more per hour depending on the time (7-11 vs 11-7). But if you work nights on the weekend, you only get $2.50 more per hour. That seems a bit unfair to me and you're giving up your weekend. Am I missing something? Seems like you're losing money if you take a weekend shift when as a night shift person you're making anywhere from $1-$2 less per hour. 😕 I feel I'm missing something because usually they need people to take weekend shifts and offer the differential as an incentive. That's what I call dedication!
@@jorgesalic500 they good to me why not stay
That’s what I’m doing now I’m an MA but I want to be a nurse :)
Do private clinics pay you more then a non-profit
@@Misszambiechica in my experience as an MA. I did get paid more in private clinics in PA than in a hospital for non-profit
Agencies ALWAYS pay better than working directly thru hospitals/nursing homes.
Ms. Queenie good to know, excited to do travel nursing in the future once I get comfortable with my skills
How much do you pay for your rent or mortgage? and student loans if you have any?
i pay a lot more than i should for rent lol upwards of $1000 and i do not have any student loans.
How many days in a week do you work?
3 usually is the normal but recently i been working overtime because of short staffing, so 4 days a week.
Do you have a BSN or ADN?
BSN!
very good video.. I feel you , taxes take a tremendous hit off your pay so freaking stupid.
Move to Cali, you'll get $50 an hour.
Yeah with a life much more expensive than Texas. Of course Cali will pay more
im a nurse here in california. it is more expensive. i dont think it is gonna make a huge different whether it is more expensive or not. a lot of nurses here has fancy houses and fancy cars. they are living da dream here basically. the pay is significantly higher especially if u work in kaiser making 70+/hr
@@Marcky606 Does Kaiser Permanente hire right out of school? $70 as a new grad?
@@yemialemu9902 no they dont hire new grads. kaiser is very competitive and you need to be very experience. and u also have to be good when u work there cuz if u dont do a good job they will fire you and u become blacklisted forever. there was a pharmacist there and he got fired cuz he was too slow in the pharmacy. their janitors makes $31/hr lol. i know all this cuz my family works at kaiser. they r now making 105/hr with 5+ yrs of exp
@@Marcky606 Wow thanks for this info! Lol with that $31/hr....I heard a lot of good things about Kaiser here as well. One thing I hear over and over is - the pay is 👍👍👍. Anyways thanks for the detailed info. Very helpful!🙏🙏
I did not know nurses get paid hourly and not a salary. That’s interesting
yeah! lol we get paid hourly which is nice because at least we get paid to stay over and chart😂
Wow that’s a little bit of money. People with no education get paid that much. They should never pay nurses this low.
Absolutely right this rate is available with no degree.
