It's been quite a while since I was there (more than once) and it's great to see the rooms that were not available. Gorgeous! Merci.

Thank you so much for your visit to the Grand Trianon, you perfectly made this one ! I've been working there and to the Petit Trianon from 2007 to 2011 and at this time we could not go and ignore totally about some of the place you're showing us today like the kitchen and some bedrooms ..This is amazing !! 😂Now and since 2016 I'm working at the Fontainebleau Palace after a short time in between at the musée du Louvre...You give me the real desir to come back for a guided visit au Grand Trianon 😉😂 Vous êtes merveilleux et merci pour tout vos supers posts que je regarde souvent sans forcément écrire de commentaires😘😘🥰 I would write something more, in Grand Trianon as well as Petit you have so so much paranormal activity ...This is amazing, believe me ...

Bonjour Roxanne, I have been several times at Petit et Grand Trianon and always thought to feel a certain energy there. Off course I know about the history of the 2 British ladies that experienced something. But if you have other experiences, please tell me/us about them!

Grand Trianon is what I prefer in Versailles. White wainscotts without gold except around canvas which are magnificent, Empire furniture (I love - also a little, Restauration and Louis-Philippe) and the magnific restauration of Général de Gaulle. It is Louis XIV, Napoléon Ier and Général de Gaulle. In Empire style is among other decors, Malmaison, Hôtel de Beauharnais, partly Fontainebleau, and in Restauration style, Musée Charles X at Louvre which is dazzling (and, along, Collection Campana, slightly different because of begining of reign of Louis-Philippe - style slightly different - with vitrines of Second Empire).

Thank you for the comment and info! We loved visiting Malmaison, it was a very special episode for our channel. And of course, Fontainebleau is high up on the favourites list for us! Still more to visit and explore!

Now that you live in France, you probably have a better understanding of the importance of General De Gaulle. He is by far the most important French statesman of the 20th century. He's more than a hero. In fact, he's almost become a legend. You no doubt know the vital role he played in liberating the country at the end of WWII. If you follow the political news a little today, you'll notice that most politicians refer to De Gaulle all the time. The big difference is that De Gaulle was a REAL statesman, the kind of man who no longer exists today, with an incredible sense of the greatness of History, the prestige of France and its culture, whereas our current politicians are frighteningly mediocre and only think of themselves.

Général de Gaulle is an inspiring and iconic historic figure and we’ve known of him quite well even prior to moving to France. Whenever we have an opportunity to learn more about him, we do. It’s always fascinating.
