My simgirl had her first woohoo with Caleb and BOOM triplet vampire girls (no cheats) Now they're married and he's doing his best to raise them right God help him.
SInce playing since Jan 2019, I've only had triples two times so far with Caleb being the father. Some how I think his sim is flagged for doubles/triples more so than any other sims I've seen so far in my game.
omfg! the first time i had any kids in my game was with this man and i don't care for kids but the want kept coming up so i was like FINEEE. Sure enough this prick knocks my sim up with triplets. i legit thought my game was bugged when it kept showing the name screen for the kid lmao.
This comment (among the replies and scattered few others that popped) actually made me turn my game on to go see if Caleb had the fertility trait and... he does not. Unless it's a hidden trait, which I guess could possible? But also s a m e. I've only gotten triplets with him once, but I almost always get twins (since installing University, and I've tested this multiple times, he's only given me one bab with occasional twins, without On The Ley Line/Dark Ley Line, and the bab is always a vampire). If intentional, it's an interesting touch :3c

After my sim gave birth to a twins vampire with Caleb he kept visiting my household, taking care of the kids without manually inviting him. God I’m Sooo into him
Caleb is just the best. Period. One of my sims fell in love with him, but the relationship didn‘t work out. They remained best friends and he later befriended her new boyfriend without me doing anything. He even took care of their baby when he came over. He enjoys stargazing and building snowmen and he fell in love with Father Winter. He‘s perfect.
One time, Vlad broke in my house and ended up befriending my teen sim. Vladislaus, being the wild man he is, waited until my teen sim was an adult and married her. Now I have ugly and old-looking grandchildren.
@@Oqhixiism I tried to create Vlad's bloodline and I have to edit just to fix a jaw and eyebrows, his genetic is really strong even though I have created a very beautiful face woman but it was still not enough. LOL
Recently in my save, Caleb just showed up at my sims door. So, obviously, I started a romantic relationship with him, he offered to make my sim a vampire(which I accepted), I then made my sim get level 15 in Vampire Lore, invited all the vampires in my save to a club, made the Vampire cure, and had them all drink it. So, now I have no vampires in my game and my sim and Caleb can live a normal life together. Can't wait to play out their family.
So the way vamps are made in the Sims 4 the vamp bites you then you bite it back so most likely the vamp killed the party but when it went to kill Vlad, Vlad in desperation or something bit back in a futile attempt to get away or something of that nature. That's what I think happened.
The Vatore description says they only moved to the Forgotton Hollow a few years ago, so I assumed that meant they moved there and then got turned by Straud since he always sends a text when you first move in, welcoming you and complimenting your neck. I figured that's what happened to them. I can't really see why they'd bother moving closer to him if they already knew and disliked/disagreed with him. Lilith has become a pretty endearing character, my main sim in every new save always seems to bond with her naturally over any other Sim in the world and then eventually gets offered vampirism by her. I've had this play out like 3 different times, I guess he knows what he wants.
maybe they moved away from their old town bc they didn't wanna feel tempted to feed on their friends/family back home. also living in a mostly vampire town would prob provide them safety from people who hate vampires/want them gone
@Nicole J. Miss Hell turned Caleb but I feel like she's been purged from the game? I have literally never seen her, I only know about her through older LPs and the wikia. I thought she was a throw away in the trailer to show off the new items and feeding that came with Vampires but she is (or was??) apparently a legit Sim at some point who... just doesn't generate in, anymore???
I feel like Vlad turned Lilith before they moved to Forgotten Hollow because in one of the teaser trailers for the game, it shows Vlad turning her in a house that's definitely not like the one the Vatore siblings are living in now. Then Miss Hell turned Caleb in the same town and as a result, the siblings moved to Forgotten Hollow. And I like the theory made by @mermaidfinn because it fits their desire to be good vampires and abstain from drinking from regular Sims, especially without permission.
All of my Sims that I choose to either befriend him or his sister tend to become fast friends quite easily. And I almost always try to romance him with my simself XD.

Only missing part is that Caleb is immune to the sunlight and can actually go out during the day without burning unlike Vladdy. Makes him soooo much easier to play with.
And I thought I'm weird because of my love for Caleb 😂 every time I see him somewhere in the game I'm like 'Awww, hi Caleb'... definitely my favourite Maxis Sim 👀

I'm not so sure about Lilith being a good vampire. At this point, I've only had 1 vampire sneak in and bite my sim in his sleep and that was Vlad, but I have seen both Vlad and Lilith lurking the apartment hallways at night, it was when Vlad bit my sim that I realised what they were doing. I've never seen Caleb lurking ... yet. Caleb does invite my sims over to ask them something though, and that something is "do you want to be a vampire?". I also think it's interesting that Caleb's dark form doesn't look any different to his usual look. I have to say I do love Caleb, and he makes a very attentive father and responds to the kids so very fast...

If your mortal sim learns the vampire skills, they can learn how to make garlic braids they can hang around their beds which will protect them from a vampire from biting them. I think it's reasonably rare for a vampire to break in to bite the sim though, I've only seen twice and that was on the same save game and the garlic braid projected against 2nd attempt. They'll only do it if your sim is sleeping and once they are in the apartment you can't wake up your sim.
Yhea I'm not sure about lilith either Caleb's dark side looks just like his natural side where as lilith looks very evil . There has got to be a reason they were designed like that.
Lilith frequently comes to my Sims' doors, but she never let's herself in (which is how the biting scenario goes) and has only ever been a great friend to any of my Sims that befriends her. The Vatore siblings are awesome. I always try to include them if they show up. Vlad is hit or miss. He was a great baby daddy in my 100 baby challenge, but most of the time he's a turd.
I can just imagine Vlad, sat at his organ, belting out 'All By Myself' other Sims passing by just hear bits of faint organ music like "dude wtf, that place is creepy af, we should avoid it" meanwhile Vlad has moved on to a heart rending rendition of 'Alone Again (Naturally)' as he considers who's house he will break into that night
It's funny because the few times I've had my Sims try to romance him, he's played hard to get and frankly wasn't into it 🤦♀️😂 but my girlies eventually end up seducing him in the end.
i once made a vampire family, and got the wife pregnant. They lived in a literal shed, it was tiny. I thought they would have only one child as all of my other families, i was wrong. They didnt have twins, they had triplets. I moved them into Vlad's house cuz its big and would fit my sims, but i forgot to move Vlad out. Vlad would make my sims breakfest almost everyday and took care of the kids. He was so sweet 🥲

When I saw the interior of the Vatores' house for the first time, I thought the white color scheme they had going on was alluding to their pure and good-hearted nature as vampires (or at least referring to their desire to be), especially with Caleb having the good vampire aspiration and both of them preferring to drink plasma in non-harmful ways. It contrasts with the interior of Vlad's mansion, which is very dark and red/purple which are typical colors associated with the traditional scary vampire, but that is just my interpretation :)
EA should add Memories like they have it in Sims2 were its not just random moods but a bar of memories maybe to look back in, and with sims like these with backgrounds should have memories of their past to say more about them.
The fact that Caleb is a bi icon made me super happy, but then the thought that the sims in the trailer were his former lovers from different eras that then died killed me as well. Might not be the case given their outfits but still made me cry a bit
I had a kid Sim who wanted to become a vampire, so she befriended Vlad. Once they went to Magnolia Park during the day and Vlad burned to death while playing the Sea Monster for my Sim. She successfully pleaded with Grim Reaper for Vlad and Vlad was actually returned to 'life' 😅
I really wanted his house, so my sims became a grandmaster herself and then fought with vlad and turned him back to human lmao. And threw him out of the house.

in my first saves she had this annoying habit of bullying my sim, but over time she stopped, she is friends with my Sim nowadays The weird part is that on my first save I had managed to befriend her, but as soon as she saw me talking to her brother, she freaked out at me and we almost had to duel, guess she's quite jealous of him? 🤨
As someone who's second language is English and is used to the USA pronunciation, sometimes it's kind of hard for me to understand her. What part of England is her accent from? No ofense please, it could be my own ignorance about accents haha
In my game Caleb has a husband, a vampire sim that I had created, and Lilith has three kids with three different men so she can fulfill her aspiration. Sometimes Caleb would read to the kids without prompt, it was so sweet. Caleb's wedding with his husband was a bit of a disaster though. I had created a lovely wedding venue but it was on the beach, so most of their vampire friends couldn't come and one of Lilith's kids wasn't immune to the sun yet, I had to make sure she was inside the whole time. Also they all had the food weakness so when they ate the wedding cake they got food poisoning. So for the rest of the wedding they spent it throwing up in the toilets lol. The Vatore family is my favourite pre made sims to play with.
I love Caleb so much! He's such a good dad, too! Even if they aren't his own, he seems to love kids/babies, but especially if they are his. Vlad surprised me though. He was my first baby daddy in my 100 baby challenge because he came round the first night of play time lol And he actually made regular visits afterwards and always chatted with his girls (twins, one vamp, one human). Even autonomously cuddling on the couch with them, sending presents, and vampire teaching without being asked. I didn't change any of his traits either. Very surprising hehe

JT It isn’t just about killing babies. It’s about the little girls who are raped, forced to bare children against their will. Children giving birth can cause a lot of complications. Like idk, death. The baby could be born with birth defects, or stillborn, or die of SIDS. An abortion can save a life. And until a certain point in development it technically isn’t even a baby. Woman should have the right to choose what happens to them. Some people are too young to be mothers whether they chose to have sex or not. Getting an abortion can choose whether they become a mother or not.

My mermaid sim was a police officer and was out patrolling when Caleb just showed up really pissed and started an argument with her. Before things got more serious, a female sim showed up and started a physical fight with my mermaid (My sim won the fight, though). Right after the fight ended, Caleb began to act nicely to my sim and even flirted with her. I guess he has a thing for tough girls?
I love Caleb! He and one of my favorite vampire Sims are married, my Sim is kind of evil (she gets a thrill from compelling deep drinks from other Sims), and they just had their 5th child!
My sim was having a rough time with her relationship it suddenly starting falling apart, Caleb shows up and starting to be friends with my sim, eventually they just hung out together a lot they flirted a Little bit. till I got a notification saying something along the lines of can I turn you into a vampire? Me: did you just ask my girl to be with you forever? Cause that is smooth!!! Eventually they got married later they had twins. Sims is a magical place

it's so deep rooted in my personal vampire lore that theyre bi (bc I am and i love vampires. sue me lol) that initially i was confused by the point you made about the matter lmao
Tbh I tend to instinctively think of vampires as bi too, probably because I feel like there's something inherently seductive about them and in my mind they'd seduce anyone regardless of gender to get that sweet nec(k)tar. It miiight also contribute that the main characters in Interview with the Vampire are very obviously not-straight and it works very well for them.
I have a vague memory about a story where the Vatore kids mother was one of the vampires that died/ disappeared mysteriously originally. It was either relatives or they voluntarily took the reverse vampire potion to become human and move away from Forgotten Hollow. They grew up to their present ages and Caleb became interested in food and his sister in physical fitness but they never forgot their grudge towards Vlad. They moved to Forgotten Hollow to try and solve the mystery of the "lost" party. Wolfbane is an ingredient in the reverse vampire potion so it seems reasonable they would live in that manor . Vlad refused to accept anyone from his clan being disobedient or disrespectful to him so his revenge was to have them both turned back. This is why they seem much younger and seem to have sympathy for humans even tho they are from a similar era.
1:59 Vlad actually does have INSANELY strong genetics. If you have a kid with him, they're practically just clones of him, females included. Very strange looking toddlers and children
Caleb lured my scientist Sim over to the food stand across the road from her house to bite her, once she came around after passing out I made her freeze him with her Sim Ray.
So here's more story about them (from my personal Sims game): Caleb is now a drug dealer and Lilith turned my Sims butler into a vampire, fell in love with him, and had a beautiful baby boy.
Since the realms of magic DLC came out, I've been really thinking of building up Newcrest into a town with Vampires and Spellcasters thrown in with human sims, kinda to Vampire diaries except there are no werewolves.

I met Caleb for the first time in a cafe I built (in Glimmerbrook of all places). I (the simmer, not the sim I was playing), was immediately charmed by him. I thought (and still think) he was the most gorgeous sim in the game. He honestly saved the Vampires pack for me because, at the time, I was looking for ways to completely uninstall it. I wonder which of the gurus imagined and created him.
I think this is my favourite video series you do. I love all the info you put together for these and just the way you make it v you and your editing I love it 💖💕
Its amazing how far ahead a "playing house" game is of so much of modern media with lgbt issues. Stereotypically I would think they'd not want to offend conservative people because they're seen as "family oriented", but the Sims definitely embraces the fact that we like family and domestic stories and all that just as much as the straights do.
I remember my first time playing with Caleb. He married my vampire sim named Dallas Walker(girl). They had two daughters named Fallon and Janelle. Lilith accidently killed her lover. And they lived in Vlad's mansion after he *mysteriously* died
I've got +1000 hours on this game and have never bothered to find out if there's lore... I've got a lot of catching up to do! This is a great series! I love piecing together scraps of lore in fictional settings like games, never even noticed Sims 4 had any - I'll have to look closer in future.
Just from the title I can tell I'm going to LOVE your sims history series. I havent seen any other simmers do this but if they have someone please recommend some! I want to support this kind of content over lazy let's plays that never get finished

Whenever I played a new sims files or one that's just there, Caleb would always find his way to my sims and I never knew why even today it still happens. The weird part is that he and whatever sim I have they'll hit it off like they've been friends for years.

I thought she was a throw away in the trailer to show off the new items and feeding that came with Vampires but she is (or was??) apparently a legit Sim at some point who... just doesn't generate in, anymore???
I feel like Vlad turned Lilith before they moved to Forgotten Hollow because in one of the teaser trailers for the game, it shows Vlad turning her in a house that's definitely not like the one the Vatore siblings are living in now. Then Miss Hell turned Caleb in the same town and as a result, the siblings moved to Forgotten Hollow. And I like the theory made by @mermaidfinn because it fits their desire to be good vampires and abstain from drinking from regular Sims, especially without permission.

I'm not so sure about Lilith being a good vampire. At this point, I've only had 1 vampire sneak in and bite my sim in his sleep and that was Vlad, but I have seen both Vlad and Lilith lurking the apartment hallways at night, it was when Vlad bit my sim that I realised what they were doing. I've never seen Caleb lurking ... yet. Caleb does invite my sims over to ask them something though, and that something is "do you want to be a vampire?". I also think it's interesting that Caleb's dark form doesn't look any different to his usual look. I have to say I do love Caleb, and he makes a very attentive father and responds to the kids so very fast...

If your mortal sim learns the vampire skills, they can learn how to make garlic braids they can hang around their beds which will protect them from a vampire from biting them. I think it's reasonably rare for a vampire to break in to bite the sim though, I've only seen twice and that was on the same save game and the garlic braid projected against 2nd attempt. They'll only do it if your sim is sleeping and once they are in the apartment you can't wake up your sim.
Yeah lilith does lurk but for me she never actually bites my sims just vlad (who i end up deleting, lmao, he is so annoying imo)
Yhea I'm not sure about lilith either Caleb's dark side looks just like his natural side where as lilith looks very evil . There has got to be a reason they were designed like that.
Lilith frequently comes to my Sims' doors, but she never let's herself in (which is how the biting scenario goes) and has only ever been a great friend to any of my Sims that befriends her. The Vatore siblings are awesome. I always try to include them if they show up. Vlad is hit or miss. He was a great baby daddy in my 100 baby challenge, but most of the time he's a turd.

It's funny because the few times I've had my Sims try to romance him, he's played hard to get and frankly wasn't into it 🤦♀️😂 but my girlies eventually end up seducing him in the end.
i once made a vampire family, and got the wife pregnant. They lived in a literal shed, it was tiny. I thought they would have only one child as all of my other families, i was wrong. They didnt have twins, they had triplets. I moved them into Vlad's house cuz its big and would fit my sims, but i forgot to move Vlad out. Vlad would make my sims breakfest almost everyday and took care of the kids. He was so sweet 🥲

When I saw the interior of the Vatores' house for the first time, I thought the white color scheme they had going on was alluding to their pure and good-hearted nature as vampires (or at least referring to their desire to be), especially with Caleb having the good vampire aspiration and both of them preferring to drink plasma in non-harmful ways. It contrasts with the interior of Vlad's mansion, which is very dark and red/purple which are typical colors associated with the traditional scary vampire, but that is just my interpretation :)

I accidently burned Vlad to death the first time my Sim met him...woops.
I had a kid Sim who wanted to become a vampire, so she befriended Vlad. Once they went to Magnolia Park during the day and Vlad burned to death while playing the Sea Monster for my Sim. She successfully pleaded with Grim Reaper for Vlad and Vlad was actually returned to 'life' 😅

In my game Caleb has a husband, a vampire sim that I had created, and Lilith has three kids with three different men so she can fulfill her aspiration. Sometimes Caleb would read to the kids without prompt, it was so sweet.
Caleb's wedding with his husband was a bit of a disaster though. I had created a lovely wedding venue but it was on the beach, so most of their vampire friends couldn't come and one of Lilith's kids wasn't immune to the sun yet, I had to make sure she was inside the whole time. Also they all had the food weakness so when they ate the wedding cake they got food poisoning. So for the rest of the wedding they spent it throwing up in the toilets lol. The Vatore family is my favourite pre made sims to play with.

I love Caleb so much! He's such a good dad, too! Even if they aren't his own, he seems to love kids/babies, but especially if they are his. Vlad surprised me though. He was my first baby daddy in my 100 baby challenge because he came round the first night of play time lol And he actually made regular visits afterwards and always chatted with his girls (twins, one vamp, one human). Even autonomously cuddling on the couch with them, sending presents, and vampire teaching without being asked. I didn't change any of his traits either. Very surprising hehe

The baby could be born with birth defects, or stillborn, or die of SIDS. An abortion can save a life. And until a certain point in development it technically isn’t even a baby. Woman should have the right to choose what happens to them. Some people are too young to be mothers whether they chose to have sex or not. Getting an abortion can choose whether they become a mother or not.

My mermaid sim was a police officer and was out patrolling when Caleb just showed up really pissed and started an argument with her. Before things got more serious, a female sim showed up and started a physical fight with my mermaid (My sim won the fight, though). Right after the fight ended, Caleb began to act nicely to my sim and even flirted with her. I guess he has a thing for tough girls?

Tbh I tend to instinctively think of vampires as bi too, probably because I feel like there's something inherently seductive about them and in my mind they'd seduce anyone regardless of gender to get that sweet nec(k)tar. It miiight also contribute that the main characters in Interview with the Vampire are very obviously not-straight and it works very well for them.

I have a vague memory about a story where the Vatore kids mother was one of the vampires that died/ disappeared mysteriously originally. It was either relatives or they voluntarily took the reverse vampire potion to become human and move away from Forgotten Hollow. They grew up to their present ages and Caleb became interested in food and his sister in physical fitness but they never forgot their grudge towards Vlad. They moved to Forgotten Hollow to try and solve the mystery of the "lost" party. Wolfbane is an ingredient in the reverse vampire potion so it seems reasonable they would live in that manor .
Vlad refused to accept anyone from his clan being disobedient or disrespectful to him so his revenge was to have them both turned back. This is why they seem much younger and seem to have sympathy for humans even tho they are from a similar era.
Caleb wants to mix with the humans SO much, he is always a vendor at the festivals in city living and is friends with all my sims :D

So here's more story about them (from my personal Sims game): Caleb is now a drug dealer and Lilith turned my Sims butler into a vampire, fell in love with him, and had a beautiful baby boy.
Since the realms of magic DLC came out, I've been really thinking of building up Newcrest into a town with Vampires and Spellcasters thrown in with human sims, kinda to Vampire diaries except there are no werewolves.

I met Caleb for the first time in a cafe I built (in Glimmerbrook of all places). I (the simmer, not the sim I was playing), was immediately charmed by him. I thought (and still think) he was the most gorgeous sim in the game. He honestly saved the Vampires pack for me because, at the time, I was looking for ways to completely uninstall it. I wonder which of the gurus imagined and created him.

Its amazing how far ahead a "playing house" game is of so much of modern media with lgbt issues. Stereotypically I would think they'd not want to offend conservative people because they're seen as "family oriented", but the Sims definitely embraces the fact that we like family and domestic stories and all that just as much as the straights do.
