This Is WHY You Warm Up Your Dirt Bike.

We were about to go ride dirt bikes when we had some bad noise inside the engine and it locked up! We tear down the kx250 and find out what happened to seize the engine. We come to the conclusion that it was cold seize, caused by piston expanding too fast for cylinder. The damage was not good! 2000 Kawasaki KX250 2 stroke.

That’s not a cold seizure. That’s a skirt that was worn thin and not replaced when it should have been. The 4 corner scoring is present but not the cause.

typically with a cold sieze or a sieze in general the skirts dont break, ive only seen the skirts break from piston slap, wich happens when the piston to cylinder clearance is too big.

Don’t think it’s necessary with most modern bikes Tbh
Would defo do with older bikes, my Chinese bikes 140 250 barely need warmed up and solid
