A good clear tutorial, with clear camera shots too, so important. Thanks for the several 'little' tips, even as a seasoned flower maker, I learnt some new tricks. Thanks, and love your accent, took me straight back to where I used to live.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment Lynne, it's truly appreciated & I'm so glad to hear the video has helped.💖 Ooh lovely to hear that. Where abouts did you reside if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you, thank you so much. Always wanted to learn this I am a widow n could not afford costly classes here in India the way you explained it was almost like I am in front of u.
By far the easiest and most detailed tutorial out there, I am often left confused with tucking and adding petals and I end up with a hot mess, In this tutorial she explains the exact petal u need to be adding and tucking under , well done 👏🏻
I thought your tutorial was too long and I speeded it up.Your rose is so beautiful 😍 Am going to play it over again until I make beautiful roses like you. You deserve a million views. Welldone lady. And thanks for taking your time to show us how.
Detailed tutorial. You may wish to consider changing the title.from Fondant to Gumpaste/Flowerpaste since its confusing to beginners who do not know they are different.
I'm glad you found it helpful Azra. I don't usually cover the bottoms as when they are inserted into a cake, you can't really see them but I will do a tutorial on that soon too. 😊
Thank you so much Paula!!☺🙏 The clear rolling pin I use is embossed so I have linked a plain round edged one in the description which is more or less the same just without it being embossed.😊
Thank you so much for liking them. I hope they're helping.😊 There is a gumpaste recipe on my channel. If you scroll through my videos, you'll be able find it.😊
Hi Philip, This particular one isn't the one I made but is Squires Kitchen. With the gumpaste I make in the video, the petals can be rolled even thinner than this paste to get a more natural looking flower.😊
Hi, I really like your videos. I want to make your gumpaste as I normally make the one with egg whites. Do you have a video in which you are using your own gumpaste recipe rather than squires. I would love to see it in action and the results. I live in a hot country and find the egg white recipe dries out too quickly when your working with it. Any help would be appreciated x
Hi Debra, Thank you so much. I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the tutorials.😊 I did make a flower with my homemade gumpaste and found it's very different to a shop bought one. I was at some point thinking of doing a video comparing the two gumpastes and will have it up as soon as I can. The drying time however is not one of those differences, it's roughly more or less the same. If you add a lot of shortening to the paste or mix it with bit of fondant, it will give you a bit more time to work with it. 😊. X
Hi Lynn, They are probably sold out. It has been over a year since the tutorial was uploaded and were available at the time. Sorry, I don't know if the size is available elsewhere.😊
Thank you!!💕 No, I don't. I usually just put some Royal Icing or edible glue at the back of the flower & poke it in the cake as much as I can to secure it as the flowers are all wired and that definately helps. It can also be done using piping gel.😊
Hi Mary, I usullay get mine just from the local supermarkets - there are dozens! Oh nooo, try Amazon then. Might be a bit dearer as you can literally pick 'em up for free. Or make some out of foil. Use the palm of your hand to cup it up, should do the trick for you. Spoons even. 😊
Not exactly quick or easy if you don’t have all the supplies but she did a beautiful job. I definitely don’t have a pasta machine or the wire and foam bud.
Hi Erin, Thank you for liking the tutorial. Yes you would need the tools & equipment for this style of rose and you are able to purchase them online on Amazon (pasta machine) or cake decorating companies (buds, wires, colours, etc). Then it's just a matter of practising.😊
Hi, this is a great tutorial! So glad I found your channel 😊 I have a couple of quick questions, firstly I can’t find the buds in the 3x4 cm size you suggest, would it be ok to use the larger size up? And my second question is, when you cut out your first row of three petals, are you using the smaller or larger cutter? Many thanks, looking forward to making your rose xx
Hi Nichola, Thank you for your comment! There is a link in the description box for the bud that does have the size. Sure you can, it would just make a bigger rose. No I use the same size of cutters. I hope that helps.😊
I was just going to mention they might have sold out. You can either use a smaller one, or a larger one.😊. Which ever size you decide to use, use the same size cutters too.
de la parte superior queda hermosa, pero de la parte inferior no se ve bonita no creo que con el caliz se cubra, me parece demasiado grande el cono central, o cortar todos los petalos con el tamaño mas grande, pero yo no soy la experta, solo digo lo que vi

Hi Anne,
The foil bags are from Amazon and they only sell a standard size.😊
If I don't have your kind of rolling pin what should I use
Hello Hawa,
You can use a ball tool too if you don't have the rolling pin. 😊
Thank's for reply

Where did u get the Styrofoam for the base of the bud
There's a link in the description where you can buy them. 😊
I like the gum paste you're using because it doesn't stick. Is that the gum paste you did on your gum paste tutorial?
Hi Philip,
This particular one isn't the one I made but is Squires Kitchen. With the gumpaste I make in the video, the petals can be rolled even thinner than this paste to get a more natural looking flower.😊

What's the substitute of apple tray as I dont have it
Hi Salma,
You can use spoons if you don't have an apple tray😊.
I can't find those bud sizes can you help with this?
Hi Lynn,
They are probably sold out. It has been over a year since the tutorial was uploaded and were available at the time.

Please how can I make my sugar paste for flowers
That is my next tutorial.😊

This is so pretty! Just wondering when you attach it to a cake do you cut he bud in half so it can stick better to the fondant? X
Thank you!!💕
No, I don't. I usually just put some Royal Icing or edible glue at the back of the flower & poke it in the cake as much as I can to secure it as the flowers are all wired and that definately helps. It can also be done using piping gel.😊

When do you use the bigger cutter?
Hi Mercy,
I don't use a bigger cutter except for the first petal.😊
It's beautiful... Its is gumpaste or sugar paste?
Thank you Aradhana!😊. This is gumpaste.

You can make the rose bud out of gumpaste.
I've answered in the other question you posted.😊
I wasn't sure if you'd see the other question. Thank you. :-)
What's a florist paste is it fondant?
No. It's gumpaste also known as flowerpaste.

It’s gumpaste.
She has answered it below. 👍🏻😊
where do you find these colours?

Hello Norbert,
They are still classed as edible but they are not meant for consumption regardless. 😊
Thank you for the great tutorial 👌
Wat size if using styloform ball instead of bud?
Hello Sonali,
I would use a 3cm foam ball.
