      I am not sure if dropping PCT or Rapid antigen tests is an option. Maybe dropping the prices of the testing could help.

      BA4 and 5 are spreading like wildfire. More than half of the people I known who’ve flown in the last month have gotten COVID. There are concerns about repeated infections leading to lifelong chronic health issues. Doctors here in the US are despairing that we’ve surrendered to COVID. I’m not so sure the dropping of masks in airports and airplanes will turn out to have been a wise choice. I don’t know. We’ll see.

    Although the cabin crew who you interacted with from Cote D’Ivoire speak French, they should not be characterized as “the French”, thus associating and generalizing the language with culture norms and behavior.

    17:02 you can say anything, but you have to face counter opinions. No exception. True, it would be boring if only one opinion would be allowed. But... if only one opinion is allowed no others, this is not freedom.
    The world as is is currently a mess. Should we work on to make it a better place for everyone? Or should we allow to continue as is? Travel should unite. Travel is universal. It should be for everyone. Also those living under undemocratic and war conditions. Some people in Palestine and Yemen would wish that they could travel. Some people in Ukraine would not like to flee. Some Russians would have a better image in the world. Some people would like not to have a stereotype attached.

    You've got a French logo on your sweater and they're still grumpy 😡, when they replaced the Dash-8 with the A319, I immediately thought that it had to do with the weather. Somehow the idea of flying in a turboprop at night in stormy West African skies excites me less.

    the turbulance may have caused such an excessive motion that it caused the a319's autopilot to switch off. that couldve also triggered a switch or wire to be slightly offput to turn of the lights but the beeping was prob just the autopilot disconnect.

    • @sav47
      @sav47 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The autopilot disconnect aural warning will not be heard all the way in the back of the cabin. Most likely a smoke alarm going off in one of the lavatories due to a faulty smoke detector.

      I'm a fully vaxxed plus 2 boosters now. People have had plenty of time to protect themselves well. We can still wear masks if we choose and while the virus is still rampant with the new variant, people aren't dying from it anywhere near the early day numbers. I'm a lefty too and even I say it's time. People shouldn't be locked in their homes or put in hibernation. Airplanes are safer than ever.
      It's time to open it up.

    I totally understand the need for difference of opinion, but the argument about French people was rather general and could be deemed offensive. I know some of us can be sensitive, but there's a real thin line. Let us also be considerate.

    Josh, I agree with you. We have become a people that won't tolerate differences of opinion. And people no longer convey their positions on topics with courtesy. I hope that we can someday once again value freedom of thought and defend its expression regardless of agreement. BTW - great video as always!

      Difference of opinion should also not be offensive! Somethings we can be rather insensitive and view the world solely though our western mindset.

    honestly Cahill i would'nt want to call that person or topic sensitive, abit disappointed that you did be cause 1st it's true and wrong what's happening in Ukraine but other countries like Palestine been experiencing those events every day for many years and got no attention unlike Ukraine (also for many reasons) ,2cnd they get few kindes of support to non worldwide .my point is every life is precious , but sadly some are more important than others so i don't blame that person cuz i would too ,i wish you knew the gravity of the situation but other than that it was a lovely video thank you for the entertainment.
