Not only. Its also eaten in central africa. Called fufu but we make it with cassava flour and corn flour mixed. Or just cooked by itself. Eaten also in east africa ans southern africsn country but have different names

Fufu in the Ghanaian Twi Akan language means white because of the colour of cassava. Hence, the name given to this Ghanaian dish by the ancestors. The Nigerians call theirs pounded yam. They make theirs in a different way. West African countries now have adapted the name 'fufu'. They also have special names for the dish. It would be good to learn those other names, too.

I have never had Nigerian food before. I knew a Nigerian man when I lived in Peterborough and worked at Pearl Assurance plc and I went to London to stay with his family but they were more interested in me teaching his wife to cook Jamaican food especially rice & peas. But it is good to see your are researching our Nigerian food.

I love fufu but I don’t eat it with my hands, I eat it using fork and knife. Using bare hands is odd.

They used green plantain for the thickness and you used too much water

You added too much water and that’s why it wasn’t holding up. Less water gradually

Why don't they eat fufu with etiquette? Everytime I watch the video of preparation of future the eating part is disgusting. Is it the video makers manners or that's how it should be eaten?😂
