    Over the last 50 years, we have witnessed an explosion of Eastern philosophy and martial arts in Western culture. What has been their influence upon the last 2 generations? And where does this path we have set our feet upon lead? Does the study of Martial Arts, Tai-Chi and Yoga really lead to a more disciplined way of life, as is being promoted by the media today? Are our children being made better men and women of God through these practices, or is there something deceptive working behind the scenes? From the studio that made "Battlefield Hollywood", "Controller" and "The Replacement gods" comes a all new documentary which seeks to give answers to these very questions.

    Im only 20 but you have answered many of the hard life questions I have pondered on for so long. May God continue to Bless your ministry! This is Such a huge encouragemment to my faith in God. You just reminded me of the constant war being fought for souls daily. Its so inspiring to see Gods hand working in many of the brought up sdas that have drifted away because of a lack of personal relationship with Christ !

      @Luka Merkviladze Be honest with yourself. If you just wanna go in there to learn how to defend yourself, make some friends and build self-confidence, it's perfectly fine. If you wanna learn MMA or boxing to become rich and famous and beating people up for the amusement of the crowd then no, that's probably not okay lol. You're gonna feel the vibe in the gym. If it's one of those places infested with meatheads where everybody has a big ego and tries to hurt each other every time they spar, just leave that place or don't spar with these idiots. I did some Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and it felt like a family, everybody let their ego at the door and had fun. Never felt like a cult, nobody was "worshipping" the master etc...My 2 cents.

Makes me not so angry or hurt personally now, and I just hurt for all of them. I pray Jesus is able to reach anyone who is still caught in this deception and bondage. I also saw it tearing apart other relationships from friends and connections he had while we were together as well. Including his relationship with his own family. Just makes me feel very sad for all of them. But also just less angry and not questioning whose fault it was because the fault belongs to the devil, I know that now for sure 🥺😭💔🙏

      There are times when a wife prays and she knows God is going to do a work, but has to wait on His timing. I remember when my husband and I were having problems, I prayed and fasted. The answer I felt I got was that God would save my husband
      So I stuck it out. I kept waiting and praying. Of course, God never told me it would take 5 years, lol. But I have to say that God DID save him. Today he is a different man, and is sober 7 years. I took great comfort in 1 Peter 3, and it is quite true.

    Amazing Grace! So glad I found this film as a survivor of the new age. I related to his testimony in so many ways, though I didn't do martial arts. I did, however, follow a guru for 7 years. I came to Jesus in a supernatural way where I saw very plainly that there are only two roads; the wide road to destruction and the narrow road which is with Him. There is only one road to salvation. The enemy dresses up, bedazzles and repackages the same old lies. Brothers and sisters, we need to stay awake during these dark times.

    I did intro to kung fu as a young girl, with some other young girls, and I praise God that my parents stopped me completely after a few lessons because the teacher lived in a trashy environment where we had lessons with porn mags on the floor (which I didn’t notice but the other girls did) and the parents stopped our lessons because one girl wore a skirt to class and he kept getting her to kick higher and I got jealous because he paid her attention, until another girl said he was perving on her. Parents found out and gave him a hard time and pulled us out. Years later, after getting into a good church, getting closer to God as well, I finally threw the kung fu manual out.

As a young man I pursued Aikido in recovery from dual TBI and a broken back but in hindsight God spared me the spiritual hardships involved with what you shared. What a wonderful and beautiful Testimony and documentary. Maybe your ministry could and should reach out to Victor Marx ministries ' All things possible ' and challenge him with these truths. One flagging term he utilizes often and is firm in is " The way of the Warrior" The whole way through this documentary I questioned. Can the flesh and spirit be seperated ? You determined not. I am a 68 year old Christian and have chronic pain in two areas of my body. The VA takes care of my health care. They tried back surgery, RFAs (also called Ryzotomies), steroid injections, physical therapy, but nothing brought relief to my chronic pain. Some days the pain is so high that I must resort to narcotic medications, or else I will (and have many times) end up in the emergency room to get injections of liquid Valium and a powerful pain reliever called Toradol. Then the VA signed me up for a class called "Choose to Heal." It lasted 8 weeks but I stopped going after class number 4. They began to teach Yoga and transcendental meditation, and then wanted to put each patient through a series of hypnosis sessions. I ran for my life because I knew from the Spirit of Prophecy that those so-called medical practices have their roots in ancient pagan religions, and the devil can and does still work his Satanic magic if a person gives over the control of their mind to another finite human being (hypnosis). I pray daily for healing, even just enough to never have to take the narcotic Hydrocodone again; but God in His wisdom has chosen not to heal me. So for me and others who are in constant pain but are aware of the eternal consequences of dabbling in occult practices (martial arts, Yoga, hypnosis, etc.), it is a matter of how you answer the questions: Would you rather be healed by the devil than die? Or would you rather die than be healed by the devil? For me, no matter how severe the pain, I would rather die than be healed by the devil. And believe me, he is able to both make people ill through satanic curses, and then appear to heal them by removing his satanic curse. Many will think that they healing MUST be from God, but they are ignorant of the fact that any activity whether martial arts, meditation (sometimes referred to as a special form of prayer), or some of the so-called healing arts, can be Satan's enchanted ground. Once we enter into his territory, we become his legal prey; and it takes much prayer by those who love us to break the satanic spell. Listen to these people at LittleLightStudios. They have been given discernment to know how Satan is luring in the uninformed, discontented, and gullible ones to capture them in his multitude of snares.

      +RODNEY DAVIS Thank you for your concern and advice. I know about all the health institutions you mentioned. Problem is that I am retired and on minimal social security, and can barely afford to find money to eat on each month. Those institutions charge for their services. In the Spirit of Prophecy, the blueprint for our medical institutions was that patients were treated at no cost, and the worldwide church membership footed the bills through love donations. Then our medical doctors, against the pleas of Ellen White, voted to join the American Medical Association. From then on, our medical institutes look more like the world as time goes by. Our doctors push pills instead of teaching patients preventative medicine. Oh, how differently things would have been if God's people had obeyed His counsel. He would have greatly blessed the sanitariums (later called hospitals) in our use of His divinely ordained remedies, and the world would have beaten a path to our door, and the medical work would have indeed become the opening wedge to gain entrance into the hearts of those who were ill but healed through doctors use of natural remedies. But that's what could have been. When the medical work went the way of the world, the horse was out of the barn, and it's too late. I admire places like Weimar and have visited their medical facilities; but I can nowhere near afford their costs, especially with no medical insurance (including Medicare). So I must rely on the grace of God to get me through each day. Some days, death would be a welcomed guest. The VA does prescribe narcotic pain meds, but all they do is destroy my frontal lobes wherein lies my spirituality. Yet God has more power than all narcotics, and He has enabled me to keep up a personal ministry for Him over the past 12+ years; and how thankful I am and how much He has blessed me.

      If you are praying for healing and not being healed then you may need to pray for Wisdom.
      Sometimes Wisdom will lead you to answers and healing. God still gets the glory.
      Sometimes we have to take our own steps. We have to do what we can do and God will do what we can't do.
      Wisdom is always the first thing that comes to us above everything else. So please pray for Wisdom. You may be able to heal yourself by what is revealed to you.
      You say you are a Christian but do you have a relationship with the Lord and the Father?
      Too many people pray religious prayers and belong to religious churches. Maybe you need to remove yourself from certain people and places.
      Is your faith strong? Do you truly believe that Jesus can heal you? If you pray and believe then what you pray for will be done according to your faith. You cannot pray and doubt at the same time.
      Jesus heals today.
      My Jesus bless you and heal you but he may want to lead you in a way that grows and strengthen you.
      Trust Jesus.

      Martial arts treated as exercise system is not a problem, the problem is that you are always lured to zen teachings about chi, kundalini, spiritual energy etc. This is when and how the spirit beings influence your mind and take you as far from God as possible, that’s enough to destroy you. Sometimes you may even pay high price to learn secret techniques and that guilt will stop you from searching for God. Your pride will rise, your character will change. Eventually you will start putting your “knowledge” on the paper and start influence others. That’s why we have now hundreds books about spiritual energy, secret or ancient science “hidden” from Western world etc. This is simply part of fight for your soul by taking your time ...until you die, then God will have to execute the judgement.

    • @bluesummerstaylor3987
      @bluesummerstaylor3987 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@danieljust295 Like your Bibles, you should maybe not always take those teachings so literally, eh? Some of it is simply metaphorical and supplying you with a way of understanding or visualization technique. You should practice a little more flexibility in your thought instead of taking every piece of literature, especially those which weren't written by a Christian culture yet throw Christian interpretation on it as concrete.
      All I have to say for martial arts is, "Thank you", for getting rid of my arrogance and replacing it with confidence. After becoming a martial artist, and a damn good one, if I was so focused on only the physical side of it, I'd likely have kept my once prideful and elitist attitude and looked for opportunity to 'dominate' others with my newfound strength and athleticism. Instead, I learned to not fight and try to prove myself, but to be comfortable in my own skill and secure enough that I didn't need to prove myself. I won more fights with a smile than by having to actually use my martial arts, and when I last did, protecting a 12 year old from his abusers, only did so out of necessity for his safety and used the bare minimum of a choke hold to restrain and subdue my aggressor. This attitude came not from the more physical sport side of the art but from the philosophical that I am thankfully doing so well. The mentality, discipline, and meditative breathing techniques have done tremendous work in helping me get over, or rather, better regulate my mental health issues so that I'm no longer considered an angry or violent person, nor the anxiety wrecked mess I once temporarily became. I can step around my ego for the sake of the greater good in a situation, I can move on past guilt and embarrassment thanks to my introspective insight and self confidence so that negative feelings don't get stirred up. I didn't sit around with my thumb up my else blaming other things for my problems any longer and just wait around for a divine omnipotent being to solve them for me, because I had thankfully been given the strength of resolve and mind to do something about it with my own two hands.
      Taking that into consideration, I can easily say that martial arts and the martial artists who I came to look up to as mentors have played a much larger role in giving me the practical skills to better myself constructively. Which is a hell of a lot more than I can say the warped xenophobic mindset Christianity and many of it's followers - ever so ready to go to war with anything that doesn't conform to it -- censoring or dissuading people or children from getting or learning the beneficial tools and skills like what can be found in martial arts and many other practices, a very damaging and unproductive habit when it's preventing someone from getting the help that they could find because you think it's so simple as being disagreeable with your beliefs.
      So, honestly, stop with the conspiracy theory black and white worldview and maybe show a little humility yourself. To say, "Yeah, maybe I could be wrong. I'm not God, I'm not omniscient, maybe there truly is harmless wisdom to be found in this exotic art that my upbringing and personal bias may be preventing me from fully understanding as comprehensively as I'd like."
      If God wants to lend me a hand, he's more than welcome, but thankfully, I'm doing okay and have a pretty good life, I'm happy, and possess a much better temperament, but even if I were to, I'd like to tackle it myself first before falling on my knees and begging for holy intervention. Strife is simply an opportunity to evolve, adapt, and improve your character. ; P

      Can you explain that In more detail?

    • @d.ryanwebb1166
      @d.ryanwebb1166 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Paul was not saying that God condones any action we wish to undertake. You cannot wrest one verse from its context and live accordingly: even devils do that. Think about what it would entail if your misrepresentation of Paul's message were true: if God changed the very illustration of His character - His holy law - then 1) He would be a liar, 2) Jesus's life, death, and resurrection would have been utterly pointless, and 3) there would be chaos, if the only standard needed to judge whether an action be beneficial would be our own understanding. And if all this were so, then Satan would win. He's always insinuated that God is not trustworthy, just, merciful, loving, and meriting worship. Self-worship is his modus operandi; if a person indulges it, it's the same as bowing to the devil himself. I advise you to read 2 Peter 3:14 - 18.
      God bless you, friend. :)

      @@TyMcLeod It's not for me to judge who will be condemned and who will be saved. God alone knows. But the Bible is our guide, and it's very clear on matters of spiritism, occultism, and suchlike - we are to stay away from them. But you ask a good question. I don't think most Christians realize what the martial arts entail. They're not knowingly transgressing God's law. God is just, but also merciful; I think He takes unwilling ignorance into account. And only God truly knows people and what's in their hearts. Willful ignorance - actively rejecting the truth when it is clearly presented to you - is a whole other thing. And, of course, those who just persist in continuing in a sinful pursuit and know that it's not of God - are condemned by their own conscience. But they can turn away from sin, truly repent, and ask for forgiveness, and God is faithful to forgive; Jesus Christ's grace is sufficient for us.

    The martial arts are definitely esoteric at it root. Enlightenment and kundalini mastery are the ultimate goal of martial arts. In Matrix, Neo had to upload kung fu knowledge to his mind in a way akin to meditation and letting your intuition impart knowledge. Throughought the series, you see that his fighting powers increase as has more gnostic revelations about reality and his connection to the matrix. But many people get lost in that message and foolishly believe that it's good to worship the creation and the material, and that we are all one. Not even slightly questioning is to why demonic Hollywood is pushing that shit out in the first place. Just take a look at the wachowski brothers today, they're a mess, yet they supposedly created a film that represents the "heights" of spiritual revelation. Lol, Why bother learning Karate/kung fu in the first place? The art has been watered down to the point that any amateur boxer with 2 years experience could destroy a lifelong wushu olympic gold medalist.

    Wow, thank you so much for this testimony. Thinking about my life in the past, I think it was God intervening every time I wanted to try out any form of martial art. I mean, they're quite fascinating and makes people curious. When I sprained my ankle after about one month in my first ever Kung Fu class, I wonder if He allowed that, too, just so He can pull me away from this spiritual practice... and now there's no need to be interested in learning them anymore. :)

    What I'm hearing here disturbs me in the same way that the reactions of many Christians do when they encounter evil. I'm a spirit filled believer and it has been my experience that no field of interest is without corruption. Whether it be dancing, music, politics, science, acting, sports, or martial arts, there is a tendency for people to turn things into an idol and go astray. It is our job as Christians to take a stand in the area of our gifts and show others where the line is at. Not only; but it is very important to not let Satan take the credit for all these things and to move them over into his territory. There has been a very long and ancient history of that taking place and it is not without difficulty that we go out there and do this. We are paddling up stream. To one who truly believes in God and is led by the word of God and by the Spirit, there is a no compromise stand against turning what we love into an unclean thing. We demonstrate the greatness of God. Even the Lord wrestled with Jacob, and many men of God have been valiant warriors. The lines that you've mentioned are all important and had you made other choices and not gone along with the world's system of doing these things, you may have been able to show us the right way. Instead of exercising your own authority over your own body by way of mental focus and dunamis power, you could do these things by the power of faith. That is what David did!

      While Jacob did wrestle with God. God himself said best way is to not fight at the end he surrendered.
      Even in Ecclesiastes it is said there will be time for everything under the heaven. War to peace and so on.
      Just cause it says that doesn't make it right.
      It just is stating what is allowed.
      War was allowed for us to see how bad it is.
      Christ says if someone is to strike you offer the other cheek.
      There is even Martial arts that actually speak of kinda this type of system with even bending the enemies attacks against themselves.
      Though if one be filled with the truest of spirits one would see why this still isn't the answer.
      The flesh is just an experience. If we ignore the experience through fear.
      We lose our sight towards the King. Towards the father.
      For it is in fear that we believe any weapon against us will prosper. Leaving us to render to deception.
      There is a level, a spectrum of variables that we do not understand at all, that God does. The anger, the frustrations and so on bounces off in our minds taking forms and ideas, created off of many deceptions causing more thoughts of confusion. Breeding the curse of the blood in families, God speaks of.
      Why do you think ptsd exist.
      It is the ignoring that ages of ancestors in situation where they were not left worthy for the experience being held.
      Fear of the flesh being harmed is literally the whole story of Christ. He surrender to men, God again surrendered to men like that of Jacob. Only this time he paid with blood for the blood we have cursed.
      Obviously we still have a lot to learn.
      Surrender to the truth and see that the enemy will always be the one within.
      It us who tends to ignore God in the state of fear.

    • @TheCeroak
      @TheCeroak 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Remember the generals and warriors heard God or angels to do so. Not the will given for themselves.
      It is they who are allowed to have seen when and when not to take battle.
      It is only he who speaks on when we may attack.
      After all we do not know the wage of our sins in comparison to the one who may be attacking.
      The way the spiritual world works, is by the currency unseen by the flesh.

    This is very disappointing to me because for awhile I've been infatuated with martial arts and self-defense. Ever since middle school, I had experienced several occasions of helplessness, apprehension and fear of my peers. I've seen how quickly my peers can switch heads from being a buddy to being a nasty bully. And I mean straight up upset or just pure enjoyment of using intimidation to cowar me down. And in all those instances my peers would get in my face and challenge me to try and fight them as I stand there unsure of my ability. I was so scared I didn't even know I had fists. My fear forced me to diffuse every situation. No guts. No glory. As a result while in my adult years, I can't help but see fighting ability and training as a crucial part of my existence. Unless I'm supposed to keep letting agressive people belittle and intimidate me just because I won't bend to their will and they think they're my king. Now contrary to what this video said " that you can't separate the spiritual MA from the physical MA;" there is plenty of external MA styles out there. I have a heavy bag that I practice all my strikes on. I've practiced some knife defense and handgun defense and counterstrike. What I'm saying is not all MA is evil. Don't make your fighting system an internal way of life. Just make it an external tool for defense.

    • @1980skevin
      @1980skevin 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Jameson!
      I don't know if external MA is ok but you remind me of Nicodemus from the bible. He was a wealthy man and really wanted to know how to be saved. He sought out Jesus and asked him. Jesus told him to sell everything he had, give to the poor and follow Hm. Nicodemus was disappointed and walked away. He found the answer but could not embrace at that moment.
      Maybe he did later but we are never told.
      Its easy to reason away the truth.
      I have done so too many times. This video reminded me to stay alert. Be vigilant with my choices, words and actions and be a soldier for Christ not a warrior for the flesh.
      Whether you continue MA or not - I pray God blesses you on your journey as you choose Him.

    • @kbcinmedusn
      @kbcinmedusn 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@1980skevin external MA is all about body hardening and conditioning. And it's all about techniques and endurance to. And they take the longest to master. I hope you're not walking away from this video thinking that all fighting styles are bad or ungodly in and of themselves. Think about it. Scripture condemns violence and war mongering. It doesn't condemn the training aspect of it. The way I see it, it's all about how you use it and what your own conscience says. The new testament doctrine of food and dietary laws says that if you can eat meat sacrificed to idols with a clean conscience or without defiling your conscience then you have Christ's blessing to do so. Same thing with pork and shellfish. And the same can be said about lesser things that are questioned a lot today like TV, music, sports, martial arts, interracial marriage etc. I can use martial arts to massacre other people or I can use it to defend my family. I can make it the central theme of my life or I can just make it part of my life. And like I said, I don't ever want to feel intimidated by my peers ever again.

    I studied 6 different martial arts in my 20s and 30s, and I believed it was purely physical. I moved enough times I never got beyond black belt in a particular style. When I had to choose between family and martial arts, I gave up martial arts for my family. So by God’s grace I didn’t have to suffer what this Eric did. (My name is also Eric) I just did a personal study of everything the Bible can tell us about the new earth. There is nothing in God’s plan that involves violence or power for self. He wants peace, wholesome pleasure, and love for His children. Praise God!

    I just finished watching this after watching Eric's testimony on Just Be Blessed and have to say this was very intense and eye opening. I have two first degree black belts in Korean styles Hapkido and Moo Hap Sool so I recognized some of the training elements and terms he mentioned. I never really gave much thought to the spiritual portion of the training until he gave Biblical analysis to it. The ceremonies and circle kata with their symbolism were really creepy and a bit unsettling. I stopped for almost a decade due to a health scare I had in 2014 (my personal testimony) so I had been wanting to get back into training for a long time but my interest grows then wanes so it's making me think that God has been purposely keeping those doors that were part of my life closed. After seeing these videos it is giving me more confirmation.

    Thank you so much for making this documentary. I have seen that circle symbol on many things and never really connected it to sun god worship in most applications.
    I find it particularly poignant that in his distress at the evil presence, he knew to call on Jesus by his given name Yeshua - a slight variation from yeshia = salvation. It makes it all the more clear that the Spirit spoke in that second. What a beautiful redemption story!
    Thank you Father for restoring this family and giving us one more example of your work and your presence.
