MTHFR A1298C gene mutation is a rare condition. Most of the time this is diagnosed after recurrent miscarriages or any major symptoms of the condition due to high homocystine. Low folate level and associated complications are common. You must see a gynaecologist before planning any future pregnancies. I am not sure where you live. Here (in the UK) we refer patients to geneticist (gene specialist) for discussion.
