Short answer, Papa Palps limiting aspects of the droid army of course, as planned. If the full might of the CIS was allowed operational freedom they would of steam rolled the GAR.
Bingo. The CIS was, quite simply, superior in terms of numbers and firepower. I'm surprised the CIS never developed more precise ship blasters for this purpose I know they don't care about civilian casualties but it'd be more affective with the risk of blowing the whole battle field and some of your own troops p.
They learned tactics from Zapp Brannigan's big book of war... Just keep sending wave after wave of your own troops until the enemy just stops moving... minus doing it in velour...
I would argue sniper's would have been much more effective for the CIS. The amount of clone commanders and officers we see especially those on the battlefield gives the snipers a whole scope of targets to choose from. You can program a tactical or even a commando droid in a short amount of time while a Clone commanders or officer takes years to be trained. Sure it could be countered by Clone officers getting stronger armor to protect themselves but the droids could simply increase the power of the rifle.
The thing is that the clones have gotten so cohesive that they could still put up a good fight without a commander being around. While some clones do fare better at leadership than the others, the stuff that made them so good at doing so are picked up in the field, instead of being learned back in Kamino. With that said, having one commander down pretty much only means having another take his place in a matter of days.
Yes plus there is a big difference between the two armies, the clones love each other. Not to say the droids were incapable of comradery but the CIS programmed them to be as restricted in sentience as possible while still performing their role so a downed commander would just have the next in line step in like it was nothing. With the clones though most of them look at each other as brothers and seeing them fall especially the best among them will wear down their spirit. Heck that was the design of the war anyway, to wear down the spirits of the Jedi and the galaxy
Separatist generals trying to figure out how the Wall of death strategy which is easily vulnerable to mines, orbital bombardments, flanking, bombing runs, guerilla tactics, surprise attacks and high ground attacks didn't succeed: How could we have missed this.
it being vulnerable to bombing runs is laughable, wall of death is also wall of death to air units, guerilla tactics don't work against it either, neither do surprise attacks or high ground attacks. literally, the only thing shown to be effective is faceing it down head on, and even then the clones take heavy casualties.
@@matthiuskoenig3378 mines? The wall of death also didn't seem to bring much death to the Clone pilots at Malastare, or on Onderon only did reinforcement gunships take them out. And a surprise attack did take out a Wall of death march on Onderon to.
@@matthiuskoenig3378 Please. The wall of death wouldn't be able to jack shit to air units unless said units are stupid enough to fly slow & low. As for surprise attacks, it just a matter how heavily armed the forces deployed are. & Finally, high ground attacks are guaranteed to work wonderfully, unless said high ground forces are stupid enough to do cavalry charges at the droids, instead of raining down fire with big guns.
they are made to be able to stop lightsabers with their weapon, but they can't really counter ranged attacks, so if you gave them a shield to block blaster fire and they still have whatever the things they hold are called to stop lightsabers they may have been nearly unstoppable.
Even the weakness of the Wall of Death strategy can be useful: "Send more droids against the Jedi Knight! Their bodies are making a pile so high that he will never be able to cross it!" -Sentepeth Findos, during the Battle of Cato Neimoidia
About the droidekas shields, the shield makes them move slower so magma guards and commando droids would lose their speed, which is one of the biggest advantage of the commando droids.
I feel these terrible tactics with bad decisions was more of how Palpatine engineered circumstances. He manipulated the banking clans in ways to restrict available funds to ensure the CIS would never win. His many other influences worked along side this.
Droidekas would have been great to flank the enemy engaged with the wall of death, then roll away and reposition. Adding flat "shoes" to let them stand on soft ground
the wall of death had another perk thats less obvious, its scary as fuck. not like droids are scary themselves, especially to clones, but the wall of death is a parade style march relatively slow of droids, who canonically explode upon death too (really hard to animate so they dont bother in the movies or shows) which means killing one could take out his neighbors too. yet they did it anyways despite it being about the highest loss deployment method possible. thats because the clones knew it was wasteful and thus knew the CIS could afford to waste droids where the GAR was usually short on men. In season six of clone wars we see a whole battalion is like thirty clones, fifty max, apperantly. or at least three jedi wanted to capture a giant planet sized facility with that few clones (Anakin gives reinforcements to compensate heavy losses to another general. those reinforcements are ten clones only. they got by with few men apparently). So imagine you have a hundred men and you see the enemy slowly marching their thousands at you in an obviously exposed position they must know will cost them many many droids, what would be going through an average clones head? probably "i have a bad feeling about this" or some kind of hopeless fear. either way its demoralizing to the any army to know their adversary can throw away troops like that
That is an excellent point. And EMP style of weapons that would be deployed against droids would probably have a similar effect on the shields, rendering them moot.
@@CollinMcLean not really, they have to use the force to roll the weapons past the shields first (as shown in the series) which can only be done in the immediate facility of the jedi. and the clones are shown to lack rocket launchers, heavy blasters and mortars, them being as rare as the CIS stuff in this video
@@matthiuskoenig3378 While force rolling anti droid weapons like poppers can ease the task it's not necessary. As long as you can roll it slowly it'll pass through the shields. And a slow roll is even less necessary for hand held shields.

mobile dedicated shield droids would make a lot of sense - say like the spider droids variants - but with a shield gen on top of them - mix in few of those in and that wall of death would become much more scary to beat.
Because in the late stage of the war nearly all droids was disabled by Palpatine and their leadership was killed by Anakin which was led there by Palpatine.

@@Sigma-gb9yd You must understand that in case of peace thats CIS victory... Their main mission is to leave Republic. They dont have to destroy or take over it. Also i doubt that Republic would have enough troops to occupy CIS. And without Palpatine taking over banks i doubt they would even have money.
1:29 the weapon here is the most under used weapon for its effectiveness and simplicity. we are shown in the episodes its used single B1s are more than capable of lifting and carrying mutch heavier equipment (shells for their semi-autonomous cannons), and the things lay down serieous firepower even jedi have a hard time , let alone the clones. if there was 1 for every 10 B1s (like the MG42 for the germans in ww2) the seps would likely lockdown the field in practically every battle, giveing the seps a major advantage. add in mortars (cheap and effective close support artillery) and more artillery in general and the clones would be quickly suppressed and destroyed, while the droids would be mostly free to manuvre and advance.
(0:31) I imagine that if the droids used smart tactics, the Separatists would have won the war. (0:38) In the grand scheme of sponsorships, that one wasn't that bad. (2:20) Well... Gungans aren't exactly commando droids.
You also have to remember that most of these strategies, as seen in the clone wars, were undermined by the Jedi. Yeah, sure you could revise them, but they would evidently just find another way around it, and the cycle would keep repeating. Meanwhile, strategies like the death March and other strategies that seemingly could have been put to revision actually won a decent number of battles.
An idea they could've used was a ray shield on the back of an AAT, and you have one in an armored column of, let's say 20 tanks, put the shield tank at the middle or the rear of the formation and now the column is more heavily defended.
The real reason: they weren't meant to win. The Droid army wasn't built to win a war, just cause one. If they were allowed to actually go full ham, the clones wouldn't have won or even lived. Palpatine weakened the Droid army for a reason.
Orbital bombardments was another this the CIS should have used more considering most of the time they were capturing planets instead of protecting them.
2:22 If the shield deflects blaster fire, how can you shoot through it from behind without pushing the gun all the way through the shield? Wouldn't the 'energy projectile' be reflected before it leaves the barrel? 3:30 These guns are perfectly enclosed inside the shield. Why are these shields working differently?
Theyre polarized in such a way that the blaster fire can come *out*, but blaster fire can't come in perhaps? Much like a 3DS's 3D function, where turning it on and off actually adjusts the beams passing through the screen to make that 3D look?
Actually, I’d like to know which tactics that, though rare, were used repeatedly. From the episode Rookies, how often were Commando droids deployed like Republic Commandos? And more…
Well, the thing with all Commando Operations (at least in Star Wars) is, that they followed two targtes: Take out high value personal, or conquer/destroy critical infrastructer to prepare an attack. The thing is, especially the CIS had very few of those. There is no point in kiling Governeurs or Senators, because it doesn't do anything for the war. Same with bases or outposts: sure, you might conquer one, but why putting so much effort into something that can be archived by a surprise Attack by ordinary droids too. In the end, while the republic used their commandos for stuff like scouting, sabotage of factorys and so on, commando droids replaced Droidekas in guard dutys or where simply used as Jedi killers (a job Magna guards were better at) because most CIS Commanders rarely ever had use for them. They were too expensive to be deployed in mass numbers, while the the republic hadn't any big facilities worth destroying aside from maybe Kamino, a few hospital stations and Coruscant itself. What they were actually really good at was using civilian infrastructure and civilians themselves to their advantage. The seperatist leadership knew, that the Republic never would attack at the risk of civilian casulties, so a repeated strategy (with great success) was, to put up their Operation bases in big cities with many civilians. That way the enemy was forced to CQC-Combat, were the droids could use there mass numbers undisturbed by heavy fire. Another evry effective strategy was blockading planets to force the local government to surrender. Sure, it took some time but since most ships were manned by droids, it wasn't personal intense and the GAR couldn't fight anywhere at the same time, they needed to focus power to break one. And when theere where dozens of blockades all over the galaxy, you can imagine that it was a figth against windmills.
As far as I could tell; reading into the lore from Republic Commando forwards and throughout the Clone Wars; Rise of the Empire and the Galatic Civil War Periods. CIS droids were superior in nearly every respect to clones; save for their independent thinking. Clone casualties in the Clone War; Storm Troopers, Rebels and Zann Consortium Forces all took heavy casualties against droids; even the overpowered and highly well equipped (albeit illegally) Zann Consortium struggled to take over a droid factory. The largest reasons why the CIS didn't employ greater methods was because Emperor Palpatine was running the show. In addition the CIS were also not as well unified as they seemed; they were dozens of independence groups working together, but that didn't mean they all liked it. I imagine price tags for cheap items were exorbitant; and even expensive items were difficult to make because one group wanted way more credits than the tech was worth.
I think it Was basically the desgin of the Clone Wars by Sidious and Tyranus. If Tyranus really tried to win against Sidious better tactics would have been used and the Droid army i think would have been more Civil to civilans to get the public on their side.
I feel like the Wall of Death strategy may have been one more motivated by the corporate leadership of the CIS than any potential tactical value. In most situations you want heavy armor to lead your charges as those units can shrug off small arms fire and take out priority targets before the lighter more vulnerable infantry come in to actually secure the area and mop up anything the armor missed. With the droid army though I can see even entire platoons of B1s being cheaper than a single AAT and with casualties being a non issue it's simply more cost effective to lead with the most disposable and cheapest unit.
Honestly there's a lot to consider in the case of how to defeat republic forces, for one considering the fact that the clones are the superior fighting machines over B1s, but also considering the fact they're usually led by a jedi. One thing I know for sure is I'd want B1 assassins on practically every hilltop covering each other's line of sight in order to take out the jedi, which would make it a far more conventional battle. If you take out the jedi or make them retreat, you can start thinking about how to focus as much fire onto the clones as you can. You'd want some special units like commando droids patrolling the high ground, seeing as ambushes from above seem to be one of the republic's most favorite tactics.
The Last one I call bs on. Having a load of medium sized mobile shield generators in the middle of those square formation does not seem like that much of a hastle. Just put them in the front lines to absorb most of what's coming your way and that rly should do it in most battles, maybe put some on high priority troops if need be. With those numbers it's not about getting no losses but losses you can calculate and take without having to worry about it.
I could have answered this question with one statement. The dark lord of the sith didn't want either side to win the war because he needed a long protracted war to implement his plan of galactic conquest.
I think that Papa Palp didnt allow shields etc to be used on droids because then the CIS would have become too powerful and that would risk the republics final Victory, which Palpy needed to create his empire
I would say droidekas were the perfect flanking unit... But since we never saw such complex tactic in the battlefield, I guess it must remain just as a theory lol
It probably (at least in universe) comes down to Sidious not wanting the CIS to win too much, otherwise the war might have slipped out of his control. I mean droidekas could have easily been upgraded with better legs to be able to walk on sand and such and maybe even a repulsor-unit to prevent them from easily being force-pushed, if you added some better weapons and maybe some phrik or cortosis-weave (to protect them while rolling!), then you have a jedi-killer on your hands (which could of course be turned on the sith, too!)! Sniper-Droidekas could have been used to overwhelm weaker Jedi at long range, droids with shields would have over all been tougher to kill, while still being able to be made a lot faster than clones (clones need to grow, even with growth-acceleration (which also makes them age faster later on, so it is a trade off), not to mention that they need training (even with flash-learning, which is quite dangerous, too as it can damage the brain!))...hell, if the CIS went all out, the Jedi might have once again have had to utilize techniques they forgot about (sometimes deliberately, because of dogma...hell, they might have had to teach everybody ELECTRIC JUDGEMENT, which is a Jedi-Version of Force Lightning!), like Droid-Destruction Force Power! Hell, they might have looked into battle meditation, to boost the clones even more (and which would make even some badly trained Rebell forces - yes, the first Rebells were badly trained (if at all! Many were cannon fodder basically) - into an army, with a single Jedi there to utilize battle meditation, which basically turns living beings into a something akin to a hive mind or a fully networked droid army!)
I think another part of the reason is how TCW portrays the CIS as mostly marching columns of B1s armed with E-5s, when expanded content like Star Wars Legion has the average squad of B1 Battledroids carrying 2 or so heavy weapons, using genuine tactics, and Battlefront 2 has a variety of weapons that B1s can be equipped with as well.
its funny that the droidekas' stubby little legs left them relegated to use indoors since their ability to fold up and roll out like a wheel wouldve been a great way to deploy and position them across any kind of terrain, so long as they didnt need to move once theyd set up
In the battle of christophsis, when the wall of death split up, rather than staying in standard formation, it worked so well. This could have been in the video and the separatists could have used it repeatedly without much fracture.
The one thing I always wondered. I’m the later seasons when we see Commando Droids, why are they always Commando Droid Captains and never the regular ones? Like when Rex, Anakin, and Fives went to save Tup, we see only Commando Droid Captains and not regular ones. Is it because Captains are more competent and they didn’t want to use normies or is this something I’m thinking to hard about?
Droidekas can only deploy their shields when they are stationary and not rolling. Therefore, shields would have been useless on something like droid commandos who rely on their agility as their greatest feat.
While it´s obviously way to inefficient to equip every mere B1 or B2 Battledroid with a PSG, it still doesn´t make much sense why they wouldn´t use them on the more expensive and thus less expendable models like Magnaguards or Elite-Battledroids, especialy since the Magnaguards are primarily designed for CQC and have to close the distance to their target without beeing hit by blasterfire. Most CoS Leaders are buisnessmen. They should realize it´s cheaper and more efficient to spend more on the Droids to increase their durability in combat instead of wasting ressources to constantly replace them due to lesser defences.
Also it seems like droidekas are best deployed in close quarters environments. They can deploy very quickly and shut down enemy movements with rapid fire. It doesn’t seem very sensible to deploy them in an open environment where they could easily be outmaneuvered or quickly taken out with heavy ordinance from vehicles or RPS-6’s. When comparing the costs to their effectiveness in different environments it makes sense to not see them very often in battles with massive armies in the open.
Your video on Devilainians ignored the elephant in the room or the StarWars creatures on There planet or exciting arena . They harsh government was ruled by the females . And last episode of the Bad Batch . Turns out the mothers of a male criminal was a devilarian
Im thinking that the shielding is externally powered. That would explain everything. In fact, the tanks flew really, really high, around 5he mtts. That can be explained too.
I'd like to think somewhere in a galaxy there's a ruined city that's still populated with separatist snipers and the only reason why the city was never rebuild was because after 50+ years of the galaxy changing those remaining droids continued to kill any organic thinking they were clones. It'd make a good book I think.
The wall of death deployment strategy is possibly not as bad as he frames it as, not just efficient deployment, but if you have a single droid shooting at 60 blasts per minute (bpm) and you have 64 droids in an 8x8 formation you have 60 blasts multiplied by 64, affectively increasing the fire rate rediculously high if they're focusing on a single target. And with this would've been way better with the fact that the CIS seldom had to worry about being outnumbered. This formation was actually used by European countries during the 1800s as a unit of soldiers would have the fire rate of a machine gun with only using muskets
A tactic that should have been used alongside the wall of death is the use of independent armoured units swinging wide around the enemy flanks. With a wall of death marching at your front and an armoured pincer coming at your flanks or even your rear, moral would drop.
Now I know we have these discussions about why the Republic and CIS didn’t do more of a specific thing. But here’s a question to ask. Why didn’t we see a lot of stuff from the Clone Wars, including these specialized units and tactics, be used by the Empire? I mean stormtroopers (for all their awful depictions) are meant to be well trained marines to the Empire yet they seem to almost always use just a big down standard infantry for most stuff instead of mixing up specialized units in their ranks. The shields for example could have been used by Stormtrooper guards on ships and stations.
Canonically, the Empire's propaganda made it seem like the Stormtrooper where the Empires finest, when they really were not. Maybe at the start, yes, but with the years they lowered the standards and the Stormtrooper exeeded in numbers even partially the "regular" Imperial troops. Plus, those were mostly stationed on peaceful planets as a kind of heavy armed police, while Stormtrooper where more or less the actual Army of the Empire. The high numbers brought up the need for relatively cheap, standartized equipment and since dead Stormtroopers where higly replaceble, there really was no need to put more money into them then necessary. Another explenation would be, that the priorites where just different. Since Tarkin established his doktrin, the Empire tried to look as scary as possible. The money got into big, shiny projects. A battle station here, a massive fleet of basically useless Battleships there. They just saw no need to equip the troops properly, because as soon as the galaxy would see the true potential of the empire, nobody would rebel anyway.
there is one thing they could add to the wall of death give the front line shields, not the energy shields but a slab of durasteel, maybe with a cutout so they dont need to stick a limb out, ied refer to a warhammer 40k animation but if memory serves me right GW hired all the greatest fan animators and told them to remove those animations, but there should be plenty of reaction videos of the wh40k animation called Siege, hell you could pump those shields out faster then anything else in the CIS
I like to keep in mind that Sedious was ultimately behind everything the CIS did, so he would have prevented them from using any tactics that would have ended the war too soon.
Probably this, especially as it relates to the portrayal of Star Wars throughout different media. Star Wars Legion has the average squad of B1s carrying 2 heavy weapons, and of course Battlefront has each droid carrying a variety of weapons, and even the old Tartakovsky Clone Wars had multiple scenes of B1s using rocket launchers and sniper rifles/longblasters, meanwhile TCW rarely ever shows them wielding anything but an E-5.
You're missing the most obvious and most honest answer. The CiS armies didn't use advanced tactics more than once, because this was a TV show, and they didn't like to repeat tactics, because that would bore people. They didn't repeat a winning strategy because the bad guys can't be allowed to win. Unique designs followed the "rule of cool" and were deployed based on that, not on based on tactics or strategy.
Maybe it takes a lot of theatre shields, but a theatre shield covers the same area, if one is effective a dozen with a dozen times the army would be just as effective Yes it would cost a dozen times more, but it would just as effective credit for credit
The CIS would have been unstoppable on land if they just used 20th century maneuver warfare tactics. Columns of AATs backed up by vehicle-carried infantry could run circles around Republic armored formations and shred Republic infantry in open terrain, while concentrated formations of BX commandos with artillery support could storm Republic positions in urban areas and forests. Republic battle lines could be cut apart and isolated from resupply before being overrun, one segment at a time, by "walls of death" from multiple directions.
The inherent nature of specialization in large armies is cost and quantity. A specialized Droidika sniper was probably double the cost of a ordinary model like wise outfitting b2s with rocket launchers and jet packs is not cheap and takes time away from creating more standard b1s and 2s that was more needed for the battle field. It’s that same argument I had with my friends back in the day about why didn’t the seps focus more on building commando Droids instead of b1s the clone wars was a numbers game the confederacy didn’t have the population of the republic but made up for it in natural resources and so building a large droid army was the only viable way.
Wall of death would be easy to repel with area denying weapons. Machine guns, mortars, automatic grenade launchers and stuff as that. If we play the old star wars games would the concussion rifle and the repeater take out large chunks of wall of death so superior numbers wouldn't mater. It was basically what happen when the machinegun entered the war in our world, large numbers of troops in formation failed and we went for dirty trench warfare in ww1.
I cant help but think that if they used their tanks as Infantry Tanks, in the front leading the wall instead of behind, the wall of death would be much more efficient; It would allow the droids to get much closer and suffer less losses before getting so close, thus increasing firepower.
Also the separatist cause was overseen by sidious. To him it didn’t matter who won all that mattered was the war dragged on to lower the public opinion of the Jedi so he could take over. The best case scenario for palpitine was for the republic to win a long war so that he can seize control of the senate, eliminate more Jedi with order 66 and already have control of republic territories. Whereas if the Separatists won he would lose the ability to portray himself as benevolent Palpitine and instead rule as lord sidious, Jedi would still remain as he could not catch them by surprise with order 66 and would have to still capture republic territories
its a shame the sepratists never used the scorpenek annihilator droid for the wall of death honestly think that may have been effective on the front lines if there were larger amounts of those droids
What about staggering the wall of death? So instead of nice little rows we have a honeycomb formation. Considering there droids staying in a perfect formation would be a cake walk.

I feel another reason theater shields weren't used much is I'm sure those things require a MASSIVE amount of power.
We can thank Palpatine for that
The thing is that the clones have gotten so cohesive that they could still put up a good fight without a commander being around.
Heck that was the design of the war anyway, to wear down the spirits of the Jedi and the galaxy

it being vulnerable to bombing runs is laughable, wall of death is also wall of death to air units, guerilla tactics don't work against it either, neither do surprise attacks or high ground attacks.

So imagine you have a hundred men and you see the enemy slowly marching their thousands at you in an obviously exposed position they must know will cost them many many droids, what would be going through an average clones head? probably "i have a bad feeling about this" or some kind of hopeless fear. either way its demoralizing to the any army to know their adversary can throw away troops like that
Handheld Energy Shields would be only good against unsupported infantry that doesn't have any heavy weapons(Rocket Launchers, heavy blasters, mortars)

Palpatine weakened the Droid army for a reason.
well... when you have an unyielding and untiring and fearless army you tend to lean on those strengths quite heavily.
B1 Unit, "Well, orders are orders!"
"Good soldiers follow orders."
That surfshark lead in was great!
6:54 the closest thing to the real world version of that tactic is called human wave attack
I could have answered this question with one statement. The dark lord of the sith didn't want either side to win the war because he needed a long protracted war to implement his plan of galactic conquest.

9:20 'Last-ditch' and 'vanguard' don't really belong together since the vanguard is the front line of the initial attack.
Personal handheld shields are an underapreciated tactic. You cant imagine how much I hate jackals after playing halo ce on heroic!
A question from the expanded universe I never saw an answer to:
Was Jaden Korr a part of the Thrawn Jedi Cloning program?
why not slightly stagger the droids in the wall of death so the second road can fire as well as the first.
That’s probably the animators being lazy and using one model of commando droids
In regards to the wall of death Napoleon used French columns in much the same way, worked pretty well for him too.
Destroyer droids would be great as mobile machine gun nests. Fast to move and deploy plus they carry their own protection so no need to dig the gun in
Droidekas can only deploy their shields when they are stationary and not rolling.

I'd like to see a video on nonhuman groups that willingly supported the Empire (i.e., the Ailon Nova Guard), if you haven't done one already.
What's even more rare are the Republic's battle droids. Only time I've seen them are in Fall of The Republic.
So droidekas with wheels or tracks would have been OP
there is one thing they could add to the wall of death
give the front line shields, not the energy shields but a slab of durasteel, maybe with a cutout so they dont need to stick a limb out, ied refer to a warhammer 40k animation but if memory serves me right GW hired all the greatest fan animators and told them to remove those animations, but there should be plenty of reaction videos of the wh40k animation called Siege, hell you could pump those shields out faster then anything else in the CIS
seps should really use more hit-n-run tactic with the vulture droids and drop deploy droideikas and take the gar from behind
That would've been cool to see.
I like to keep in mind that Sedious was ultimately behind everything the CIS did, so he would have prevented them from using any tactics that would have ended the war too soon.
So Surfshark is how signatures were scrambled?
One answer for the issues, sample bias.
Maybe it takes a lot of theatre shields, but a theatre shield covers the same area, if one is effective a dozen with a dozen times the army would be just as effective
Yes it would cost a dozen times more, but it would just as effective credit for credit
9:30 it’s not a war crime if you win the war
The inherent nature of specialization in large armies is cost and quantity.
A specialized Droidika sniper was probably double the cost of a ordinary model like wise outfitting b2s with rocket launchers and jet packs is not cheap and takes time away from creating more standard b1s and 2s that was more needed for the battle field.
It’s that same argument I had with my friends back in the day about why didn’t the seps focus more on building commando Droids instead of b1s the clone wars was a numbers game the confederacy didn’t have the population of the republic but made up for it in natural resources and so building a large droid army was the only viable way.
May the force be with you all, always! #🌟
Wall of death would be easy to repel with area denying weapons. Machine guns, mortars, automatic grenade launchers and stuff as that. If we play the old star wars games would the concussion rifle and the repeater take out large chunks of wall of death so superior numbers wouldn't mater. It was basically what happen when the machinegun entered the war in our world, large numbers of troops in formation failed and we went for dirty trench warfare in ww1.
my guess for why some droids didn't have certain tech comes down to patent and trade secrets not being shared between companies.
