As I recall, in the novel "Survivor's Quest", Luke and Mara have difficulty defeating a single Droideka when they infiltrate a Vagaari ship. Rarely is the level of difficulty required to defeat these Droideka so emphasized.
Honorable mention would be droids like Proxy from The Force Unleashed, given his ability to take on not only the appearances but also the battlestyles of various Jedi and Sith that he had stored in his archive. In a combat situation he could potentially take the abilities and skills of Dooku or Anakin Skywalker. A normal jedi could be decimated, not to mention his ability to take on various appearances, allowing him to blend in almost anywhere should he need to.
IG-88 is unique, as he is truly self-aware. When he was first being programmed, using a top secret algorithm, something went wrong and altered the programming, granting true sentience. Also, the Tac Spec footman was advertised as "A Gentleperson's Gentlething", but could go into assassin/combat mode easily and was a force to be reckoned with. Lastly, the YVH Combat drods were very difficult to deal with, even for Jedi. An inexperienced Jedi would generally lose to one, while an experienced Jedi Knight would be about even with it. Masters can deal with them much better
I choose to be protected by the droid in Return of the Jedi that was upside down and getting its feet burned in Jabba's palace. "No! No! No!" In that silly voice. Lmfao. Why would they make droids feel pain? Like what's the point? So silly. I love it.
If you wanted to be super technical, you could have included the Recusant class destroyer on this list in terms of sheer firepower. Kind of blurs the line between droid and ship, but they were capable of operating without a single crew member and were essentially giant droids
Mister Bones, Mister Bones How do you feel, Mister Bones? Rattlin'! Mister Bones feels rattlin'! One of my favorites is the YVH droids designed specifically to combat the Yuuzhan Vong. Which is an exceptional slap in the face given their abhorrence for droids and technology.
@@majorflight02 I've heard the name a few times, I think he's from Legends but could be wrong. If I recall he's an old B1 Battle Droid that survived past the Clone Wars and well into the New Republic, basically broke free of his programming and became sadistic, using his military knowledge to go on killing sprees.
The AZ-Series Battle Droid. Reference: Star Wars Galaxy at War. They had a tendency to play cat and mouse games with individual prey, causing sentients to believe they had a sadistic streak. Frequent memory wipes were required to avoid this quirk.
If I was being hunted I would want a Commando droid to protect me, they aren't easy to destroy & have better abilities than B1 & Super battle droids I feel the dark troopers also deserved a mention in this video
I would definitely pick a platoon of IG-100 magna guards. My only change would be to have some with melee weapons and some with blasters and portable shields
Another 1 that I think is underrated is the IG-110 lightsaber droid. Idk if it’s canon or not, cause it was in a clone was video game but no episode. But either way I think they have a sick design
What I don't get about Droidekas is why the Jedi don't just go inside the shields. We've seen Anakin and Ashoka get past a moving rayshield by literally letting it pass over them (they were in a box but that was more for stealth than the shield) and we see Rex at 2:39 blast one in the back of the head. They shoot a lot but we see Ashoka as a new Padawan handle that just fine, and someone like Obi-Wan who was renowned as being the unchallenged master of Soresu and being unhittable with blasters would surely be able to hold against them while moving through the shields. I mean hell, Republic Commando shows the best way to take down a Droideka is to walk towards it and stab it a few times.
@@masonjohnson4310 From how shielding seems to work in Star Wars, lightsabers cannot pass through shields. They'd have to deplete the shield's energy, which could take time.
@@masonjohnson4310 That's probably the most sensible answer I'm going to get here... can't just turn it off then turn it on because you'd lose the deflecting ability that way.
There's also HK-55, the pair 0-0-0 and BT-1 and the giant droid from book of boba. Not to mention the gods of zakuul and iokath and the eternal fleet controlled by Gemini droids and Scorpio. Also R2D2, that little guy has a huge kill count.
Hey I got a video idea. Maybe you can rank some of the different animals and life forms from the universe and how potent they can be against the Jedi. Such as unsuspecting dangers such as large centepede creatures. Or even poisonous insects that look pretty gnarly. Thanks for all the videos you do. It makes cool background information and I learn a thing or two about the verse:)
Honestly, based on what we've seen on screen so far, I'd choose an IG-86 with 11's programming both pre and post first destruction. He has the best chances of blasting all the others down and if the shields of the Droideka don't give in, there's always the bomb in IG's chest
Could the “Grievous” droid in Mandalorian S3 have been that JK-13 droid? The looks are different but the large crab machine, being piloted by some unusual creature, is an interesting similarity.
I'd choose IG-B to protect me since it didn’t kill Din Djarin. The last two droids seem like they're prone to spontaneous acts of violence. What did you say, Darth Revan had to watch his droid because it was prone to manslaughter? No thanks.
If magnaguards were used as an inquisitors during empire time, they would make much better job. It's weird they weren't kept, I'm sure empire could've afford few thousands without shock for the budget
I always love The HK models for so many reasons. Not only that but when I think of HK? I think of The Gun Manufacture. Heckler and Koch which HK stand for.
The C3PO B1 battle droid from Attack Of The Clones, should've had an honourable mention.
*have. I feel you, though. lol
@@neallarsen4874 *should’ve. While should have is technically not wrong, the contraction should always be used if one exists. 👍 😅

That was a special droideka(It could fire while rolling), but yeah.

No other droid can compare with AP-5 and his masterful use of sarcasm as a weapon.
This is the first time I have ever heard someone pronounce droideka as droid-eeka
Never watched Ep1, just here for the $
It's cuz it's an artard who isn't a real fan of star wars and just read stuff online to make money for his employer
Hk units for sure. Hk47 from what I remember is actually still alive during the 0 bby Era, so that's a definite win.

Man, I sure love my "Droid Deeca" I also cannot believe that the "cal a Coid" would design it. Crazy stuff.
I always loved the assassin droids the most especially their action figures
HK-47 is the deadliest of them all.
I would love to see the most deadly individual droids. I would also love to see the most deadly Star Wars cyborgs
cant forget the deadliest of them all, the mouse droid

Good list only I would add to that list are YVH and the Dark Troopers

I was thinking the same thing. I would have loved to see how a YVH went up against any of the older droids like HKs and Droideka
Don't forget the Droideka Mk. II.
Just one of those made the regular droidekas look like toys. Literal turret of death with stronger shields.
If think there should have been BX Commando droids
The HK series is still my favorite.
Amazing. Really want to see individual Droid video hopefully in the future for ranking !
Individual droid unit list for sure would be cool!

God i love speratist droids
they all have such unique fuctions and designs and canonically very powerful
considering that a jedi cut down around 200 and still be able to get away the destroyer droids would be worth the price tag I would think.
Absolutely want an individual droid list, IG-88B has to be on there!
Proxy from the force unleashed had the training programs to be a formidable opponent to tons of people and was hard to defeat
My favorite deadly droids in are droideka magnaguards and commando droids

Because you have to move slowly in order to pass through the shield. A droideka isn't exactly going to stand still and let that happen.
I figured that the lightsaber probably can't pass through as easily, as it's an energy weapon. The blade probably gets caught or something.
@@masonjohnson4310 From how shielding seems to work in Star Wars, lightsabers cannot pass through shields. They'd have to deplete the shield's energy, which could take time.

He says literally at the start of the video that he's going to focus on series not individual droids.
Despite it not being #1 on the list, I feel like the IG-88 would be best suited for defense and protection with it's sensor array and range of motion.

Rank those "Deadly Droid" units, please.!!
Droids are my favorite characters in SW, idk why. Comando Droids are my favorite.
Your pronunciation of droid”eeee”kas is turning me to the dark side
Deadliest droids please!!
Please do individual as well
Don't forget the YVH series ("terminators")
Not to mention Dark Troopers
HK's are my favourite droid series in terms of overall design
Deadliest Droid individual units please.
Day 26 of asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
I'm surprised the KX series droids weren't mentioned in this list considering they wiped out Mandalore.
Could the “Grievous” droid in Mandalorian S3 have been that JK-13 droid? The looks are different but the large crab machine, being piloted by some unusual creature, is an interesting similarity.
what droid to protect me? AK 47. he would defenitly be happy about killing the 51 unit.
"What if" the Separatists were willing to make better use of their other droids and not be so stingy with their credits.
top of the best soldiers in the entire galaxy

The Droideka is my favorite
Chopper: am I a joke to you?
I think that the deadliest droids are Magnaguards, IG series droids, Droidekas, & Droid tri-fighters.
i do wonder who the deadliest singular droid is
I choose the HK droids to protect me. And it's simply because this video rated them as the best.
IG-88 all day. He can take over a huge number of other droids and machines (because he took over Mechis III manufacturing). Also he's the Death Star.
I'd love to see Mr bones vs hk-47

Yes please for the individuals.

Ah yes, the droid-eeekkaah
During the clones wars weren't there droids that used lightsabers? Not sure if that was a videogame or the clones wars series.
What about the dark troopers
The HK. Speaking of which, no HK 47 clip? One snarky comment please!
Where was Chopper?
Awesome
What about the YVH series?
Yes more please I like to know the deadliest Droid God bless you Jesus loves you

Yea ok. Why are scammers so stupid?
Yes, IG-110 lightsaber droid

I thought the big battle droids in The Book Of Boba Fett was going to be on here
is hk55 > 51?
I got the 1k like. Woot!!
Why was the JK13 against an Arc Trooper and a Droideka?
If you played BF2 you’d know that BB-8 is deadlier than most Sith.
I would like a video about the deadliest single Droids [=
Yes please
No Abomibor?
How did we not see the B-3 Super Battle Droid?
What about the commando droids
