      Got one more question if you happen to know the answer. Would it be possible to both send midi signal from a pedal like a helix and use it traditionally for guitar effects simultaneously? Let’s say, for example, programming the 2 bottom left switches to be a forward and backward switch for the lighting cues.

      I use the BT01 with my SPDSX for this same reason, and it works great! There is a knock off version on Amazon (because Amazon seems to be sold out of the Yamaha BT01 a lot). GREAT VIDEO. QUESTION: If I am sending MIDI simultaneously from iPad or iPhone to a synth (MODX) and also a TC Helicon VoiceLive 3 for program changes (to set both keyboard and VoiceLive for a particular song), will I still be able to send MIDI from my synth to the VoiceLive in order to feed it chord info for harmonies??? Please??? How would I configure? I’d be happy to PAY YOU to give me the answer!!!!

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment. And actually I have been asked by a number of people for help with their MIDI routing, so I do actually offer training/consulting services. You can find out more on my website at scottuhlmusic.com/consulting. I know it's possible because I do that setup for my live show, except I'm sending info from my Macbook running Ableton to my TC Helicon Voicelive to change patches/scenes and also send vocoder/harmony information. My Roland FA06 keyboard sending midi info wirelessly to my computer over bluetooth (with a yamaha dongle) and into ableton and then that passes through to the Voicelive. So I would imagine it's possible to do from an ipad as well. Check out the website and if you are interested, send me a message and we can figure it out. Cheers.

    I had a hard time finding a video about what I was looking for. Which is how to put lyrics and music in MIDI File format on a tablet. If it is possible that there is an application that handles midi files type .kar, to be displayed on the screen of the tablet only the phrases to be sung, synchronized with the music. In my case, on a Yamaha MOXF that I know can be connected to an Apple Ipad type tablet (I don't know which version). If someone can solve my doubts, I would be very grateful, to know what I have to buy .... Thank you!

    Hey Scott. Great video, it has quite possibly given me the answer to a problem I’ve been having. I am replacing my Boss ME80 guitar pedal that has died, and was looking at getting an HX stomp, even more so now that seeing in this video I can send midi when playing backing tracks to change my pedal for me. I see that as an answer to my problem of pedal dancing while singing and sometimes pressing the wrong pedal. However I wasn’t quite able to work out how you set up the timeline in OnSong, which I use, to send the midi at certain points during the backing track.
