right?? I noticed it right away! i've been watching Masaru for about 2 years now and I feel like i've seen his channel grow, especially around the time when he put out his own soy sauce. it's all awesome and i'm so happy for him!
While we do eat a lot of blue-colored foods over here in America, it's mostly just candy and fruity beverages. A fish with blue colored flesh like the Napoleon Fish, however, would probably get turned down by a lot of people. People over here tend to find oddly colored meat more off-putting than anything. Also, thank you for not eating the cockroach.
Masaru-san! I'm from overseas, but I visited Japan last month. I am grateful to the hotel that allowed me to have your brown sugar soy sauce delivered to my room. I brought it home with me, and my family enjoys it too. Your content and your products are amazing. I look forward to seeing more of your projects always!
I'm glad you decided to make another video on the Napoleon Fish! I really enjoyed the filleting process as the scales removing were really satisfying and was perfect for ASMR. This fish is certainly fascinating!
I am in Canada and 63 years old, we love all kinds of fish n Canada (especially Cod and Haddock) ... we also love deep-fried fish! ... Blue is a fine colour for fish!!! :) ... I'm sure we would love this!!
wait, TEN staff members!? for some reason I figured it was just you and maybe a friend lol! I don't tend to eat/drink blue things either, but I mean I don't think it would bother me much to actually eat them. Love your channel and watching you catch and cook all these interesting fishes! Thank you for the content!
That is the coolest shirt I've seen on TH-cam! You look like a TV star!! Keep up the great work and amazing content! I remember the last time you worked with this type of fish, and they are really amazing but slimy creatures
I don't know why TH-cam chose now for the algorithm to show me your channel but I'm now addicted to your videos. I'm an American and totally want to try this fish.
A lot of Americans have a disconnect to their food and if the meat doesn’t look how it’s packaged in a store(or in this case, like a regular white fish) there’s huge apprehension about eating it. Personally I feel kinda adventurous with meats and seafoods and would try the napoleon fish. You make everything look tasty
I find these videos endlessly fascinating, but aren't these endangered? Are there licenses to catch fish of this type and size? I guess I'm mostly just surprised to see that it is legal to capture and eat one!
They are threatened and on a fast decline. I'm surprised that this isn't being mentioned more in the comments, or even in the video at all. These fish eat certain starfish that can wreak havoc on reefs if not kept in check. They also grow very slowly and fishing them is illegal in many countries
I also love these videos! But yes, napoleons are endangered. It is illegal to fish for them in Australia, and heavily regulated in other countries. Pretty sure you can catch a nasty fee in Taiwan for it too. Kinda disappointing, but maybe his source has a license?
I haven't eaten blue savory food here in the USA before, but I don't think the fish looks strange. It would probably only be weird if the meat itself had a really bold blue color like the skin of the fish. It's pretty pale, so it just looks like fish meat to me
as an American, we tend to associate blue with sweet things or artificial things - so seeing in in nature like that is so wild! We would be shocked by a blue fish as well but I bet it tastes great!
I didn't expect you to fry the fish whole!! That was an exciting surprise, haha. I'm from America and I would love to try the big blue Napoleon fish!! I get jealous and hungry when I watch your videos! You get to try new and interesting things all the time :)
Here, in California, we sometimes catch cabezon and ling cod, which on occasions, you will catch one with blue meat. When cooked they turn pure white and are excellent eating! I have not tried eating either cabezon nor ling cod sashimi, though I will give it a try in the future.
Hello Masaru! I'm from America and have watched your videos for a while. You are very skilled at what you do and work very hard. ❤ 😂 Americans do eat anything, whatever color.
wow, we're the same age! that's fun lol. it's crazy that you decided to fry the entire thing hahaha. love your videos! they're both educational and funny!
That is a 👉terrible👈 way to cook a fish, but the video was magnificent, besides being, as you noted, extravagant. Great, great work, Masaru. Thank you.
hi masaru! long time watcher, though i dont comment very often. i love your videos, but this one was a little harder to get through. the audio seemed slightly muffled all throughout, and the new editing was just a little bit too much, to the point of being distracting. i like the natural humor of your videos, and this one i think had just a bit too much over the top editing to try and be funny. it wasnt terrible, but it was distracting. i think toning the editing back just a little would be nice. and some parts were very funny, and definitely added to the video! but i also enjoy seeing your work shine and being the focus of the video. again, ive been watching for years, and i really love your videos. i hope this comment doesnt come off as rude
International viewer here: I want to try that blue fish so bad! Then again I'd probably try just about everything you prepare on your channel, it all looks so good.
I'm actually terrified of fish and large/deep bodies of water, so I'm not too sure why I watch Masaru's videos. That doesnt stop me though, and I love watching them :) even though I don't eat fish, you make it look so good!!
Meskipun hanya memakan nila, lele, gurame, patin, teri, dan ikan yang ada di Indonesia. Aku tidak pernah membayangkan memakan ikan yang penuh dengan biru. Penasaran sepertinya.
In America we eat weird colored things all the time 😅 It's probably not good for us since most of the colors are artificial... But I wouldn't hesitate to eat a blue fish! 🐟
We have a lot of these parrot fishes in Semporna, Sabah Malaysia. They are some small ones, caught by fisherman and sold at wet markets. These fishes are usually served as dishes at home. It is very hard to find any restaurants serving this fish here in Malaysia. Thank you for your video content. I saw them when I was diving in Sabah, good seeing a really HUGE one through your video!
Many Americans don't even eat fish, and never raw fish. I grew up as one of a few asian kids in my school, and a lot of the other not asian kids refused to eat fish at all. I think blue fish would fare as well as any other fish!
As an American, it is difficult to imagine living a life without the regular consumption of blue food, so I would gladly partake in the consumption of this particular fish

Napoleon fishy is endangered, dont contribute to the death of a species.
Is it just me or the editing getting better? Also love the hawaiian shirt Masaru!
He said he has 10 staff members, so I think they definitely work more on the editing now!

There is more slime than the last fish i caught! 😂
A lot of non fishermen Americans shy away from food they don't understand, like a fish with blue meat. But us fishermen love all fish
Amazing how the production quality has increased compared to the last time!

I normally would not eat a blue fish, but I'd try at least a couple of bites since Masaru did. This video was really enjoyable!

Amazing work frying that entire HUGE fish!
02:52 This editing made me laugh so hard 🤣🤣 Yes, I'd love a Masaru fish scale flower! 🌻
American here! Definitely looks and sounds good, but a lot of the stuff you make and cook look appetizing to me. Maybe I just like food too much.
I subscribed to your channel because of the Napoleon fish in the old video, then you made another Napoleon fish video. Feels like Dejavu!
This looks amazing!! Glad to see you having fun doing what you love. I would definitely try the yummy luxury blue fish!!
It's blue raspberry fish, yum yum... I'd like to see jumbo slabs of beer-battered fried fish and chips!

Oh my gosh I love your videos and as an American viewer I can confirm a vast number of us love blue foods and drinks
