Aactually apple ruined everything for them selves not samsung apple is just a company that doesnt cre about anyone pr anything
They better hurry up cause if they don’t have one I’ll be switching to a foldable when my upgrade becomes available as their are a lot of great options out there
i dont wannt to upset you but i think apple doesnt care abt you
@@HexHexBlingBlingSabrinaSpringlol thanks for not adding anything sufficient to this conversation. Have a good day sir
I knowwww right I want a folding phone for the bigger display but I know I will be upset if I buy one now and Apple comes out next year with one
Apple is doing the sensible thing here. They've been investigating this concept, likely before any of their competitors. The difference is, Apple is generally less likely to ship a compromised product. Right now, foldables are much more expensive and they all have quality issues. Apple is smart by not releasing a product that is not worthy of their name.
Kinda agree. Apple waits before making a product that ain't worthy their name
@@cameronbosch1213 Those years for the MacBook were the year they all had intel chips before Apple move to their custom silicon.
The limitation was on intel fault for not properly updating their chips to be more functional on a laptop and meeting Apple demands.
@@rocketmunkey1 It's a 1.0 product for certain, but it's also a product that raised the bar considerably in many key areas. Nothing for Apple to be ashamed of, that's for sure.
Like their bendable iPhone
Yes, I’ve been saying that the screens on foldables are not viable for average consumers due to the fragility and lack of durability. You can damage the phone with your fingernails, huge deal breaker
I have a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 since launch, and the Fold 3 before that. So almost 3 years of daily driving a foldable. For me, i love this thing. No quality issues except the factory internal screen protector formed a small bubble and replaced it.
Wife has iPhone 14 pro - really well rounded premium device. We're a dual ecosystem home and im very familiar with current iOS and Android 14. After a month of use it was clear to me im not going back to a slab phone. And yes, normies are always mystified when i have it open filming our son's sports. It gets lots of positive attention from normies who cant believe it.
I wish Apple would just make a point-and-shoot camera that syncs with the iPhones camera roll…or provide an API for camera manufacturers to do this.
They will never do that as long as iphones keep getting better camera features
that's the iphone..
its probably not a 'point-and-shoot camera' you're looking for
They only need to continue fooling the people that brand loyalty is more important than real functionality. I will never waste money on Apple.
I have had the Z Fold3, Z Fold4 and now the Z Fold5. I have never ever encountered any issues with the foldable displays on them, even when it comes to scratches. There has only been one single issue I have had with them in those 3 years of using them. And the issue was with the hinge on the Z Fold4 that wouldn't fold out fully flat after 8 months of use (it was more 165 degrees folded out). So, I got that covered by the warranty.
Now, with the Z Fold5, they have dramatically improved the hinge-system on it over earlier hinges used. The hinge on my Z Fold5 feels as good and as smooth as new after almost 6 months of usage. And I haven't encountered any weird noises or cracking noises from dust in the hinge that would appear sometimes on the Z Fold3 and Z Fold4 when opening and closing the inner screen.
So, my question is. Do Apple test the foldable screens like they test their normal glass displays or something?
Because it would be flat out stupid if they did.
I'm asking as the inner screen is actually pretty solid towards how it's used. Remember, the inner screen is ONLY affected by damages when the inner screen is folded out. Once the inner screen is folded up (closed), like when you have it in your pocket, there is pretty much nothing that can damage the inner screen, while the main screen on a normal candy bar smartphone is always affected by external things that can damage the screen.
And many are also forgetting that the Z Folds comes with a preinstalled screen protector that you can change out to a new one if the first one gets scratched a lot. So, there is extremely little chance to get the actual inner screen under the screen protector damaged this way. You basically have to intentionally do something forcefully to damage it.
So, if you handle the foldable phones a little more carefully over how you might handle a normal smartphone, then I'm pretty sure you will be all fine with a foldable phone.
What about sand or dirt in your pocketV
@@vikinnorway6725 Haven't experienced any issues that way so far.
I have been a technician for a few years… foldeble phone just give us more money. 👍🏻.. its the most expensive cost to repair
Why samsung fans too proud with their foldable phone?
@@ahmadafnan3756 Because they are very good and are much better and WAAAAY more fun to use for most things over a normal smartphone?
If you see why tablets are more fun to use on many things, then you know why a foldable smartphone is good.
My sister has a Moto Razr. She loves it and has never had any problems for years now.
Ive been using fold 3 for more than 2 years now. Ive never had problems with screen scratches or dust or anything. And i can only imagine fold 5 is the same or gotten better.
Next big thing in smartphones needs to be a quantum leap in battery tech. That's all we need to be better these days.

Yes it is 🎉
I have a Samsung bifold to save space in my pocket makes little difference, when in a coffee shop carrying an iPad mini companion is an ether overall experience. There is nothing truly beneficial for folding screens yet
Where’s the video thumbnail link you were pointing too?
HONOR Magic V2 is very thin
I love my zflip 5. Wud never go back to an old brick/slab phone.
I said way back when foldables became real that they will not be hugely popular, mainly because it's pricey, too gimmicky/fanciful and not durable enough for people to jump on it. 5 years later, they still aren't taking off anywhere near like regular phones!
You are wrong my little dude, I’m seeing them everywhere

Come on Max Apple Tech America isn’t the entire market foldable are pretty big overseas.
The only problem with the Vision Pro is the lack of apps and games? Are you serious? The price itself is a major problem.
With the rapid onslaught of AI and immersive technology foldable phones seem like yesterday’s news tbh
I think zfold size dont make sense, people spent most time in outer screen that they can just use 2 separate device
Let’s get some bad ass colors for the iPhone 16
I switched to the z fold 5 after being a lifetime ios user and i couldnt be happier. This phone is very reliable and has survived some wild drops.
Me too, these foldables are amazing:))
A foldable iPhone would be great if it had all features of the iPhone 6 Pro Max and was large enough when open for reading. I could replace my iPad Mini with it. It would clearly be pretty expensive but it works if I can simplify the number of Apple gadgets I have to get things done. For me the type of fold that is best is the Microsoft Surface Duo. The Surface Duo hinge does not have the Samsung foldable hinge problem and would work much better for me. Interesting that Microsoft is so often the leader (as with the Surface Pro which does full Windows while the iPad Pro is still stuck with only iPad OS).
I have never seen anyone with a foldable phone in person, only videos and in store displays. Personally, I don't want a folding phone, I want to be able to pull it out and just use it. If I want a larger display, I have an iPad Pro. I have never been out in public and thought, 'I wished my phone folded open to have a bigger display' lol. In not watching movies or playing games when im out, so a larger display like that would be a waste.
another thing that irritates me big time about fold phone is that in many cases using it even in basic operation requires two hands.
I've used a Z Flip 5 for a while now. SInce launch.
I really L O V E the folding (flipping) form factor. The Z Flip 5 has a nice small outer display that makes using the phone USEFUL.
I love checking my notifications without pulling out a massive brick, I love reading or replying to a message all from a small screen that takes away from distractions, I love being able to tuck my phone in my pocket as if it were a wallet.
I could keep going, but I would never finish 😅.
The only thing I do not like is that it's not convenient with my current ecosystem.
I have AirPods (Pro and Max), AirTags, iPad, Apple Watch, and MacBook, and I've really tried to get used to not having an iPhone, but it's not working
I can't seamlessly share photos or files between my devices.
iMessage is surprisingly useful when connecting with friends or family.
Apples Ecosystem is just so good.
So hopefully they eventually release an iPhone Flip.
The main (and only, for me) reason to choose for a foldable (flip)-phone is that you can safely put in in your pocket! Of course, there are some problems from time to time but you don't mention the number of broken screens by 'normal' phones because of putting them
'half' in and 'half' out of your pocket, and cracking its display...
Of course, some extra caution is necessary f.e. when going at the beach and preserving it from sand coming in... but I consider that just common sense and not a 'disadavantage'.
The biggest benefit of a foldable, for me, .would be split screen / multitasking.
Having 1 screen work as the "menu" part, and the other screen as the work area is ideal. Example in a mail app, having the mailboxes and lists and options on one screen, then the actual opened email on the other screen
For multiple tasking, one app on 2 screen, another app open on the second screen, then it could be easier copy/paste drag between the two.
The OS needs to be easier and more intuitive in this "split screen" format. Perhaps having "dock" which would make switching between apps seamless, while still keeping the app you want open an visible - like swipe the dock in from the side, then go into a "select mode" (an option that allows for switching), and maybe then be able to scroll either of the two open apps to find the new app or doc or whatever you want to replace within the selected "screen/side"
I saw q Motorola rep at BestBuy about a year ago showing off their foldable phone. It was an incredibly good display, and I saw no line. On top of that, when phone was folded, it had a display outside so you could still use the phone. The display was on one side only, which made sense. It had pretty good specs, too. I wanted to buy it, but she said it won't be ready for another 3 months. By that time, I decided to go with the latest Samsung flagship phone.
2007: iphone 1
2027: ifold 1
Apple inside Fancy world
😂
The vision pro is essentially un-useable for anything people with VR actually want to do..............
I have a ZFold 3 and most people are impressed with the tech. The use case is pretty straight forward being able to carry a bigger display.
I live in Denmark and my unit held up nicely without having to baby it at all. Multiple drops and the occasional dirt/lint/micro-whatevers in my pockets haven't ruined the display.
I don't know what Apple's standards would be for their take on a folding display but I'm pretty sure other weird factors such as humidity / temperature all affect the display's rigidity as well.
Samsung and BOE holding over 95% of the market Apple will most likely deal with Samsung should they ever release a foldable
I actually see quite a few people using Flips
I can count on one hand the total amount of foldable phones I have seen out in the wild outside of phone stores.
im suprised how come it failed with apple and z fold 5 and 4 and 3 is amazing didnt fail quick maybe samsung did something to displays so that it fails when apple test them so that they dont enter the foldable competition with samsung
I might be the only one but to me Fold phones should be something between Fold5 and what ASUS tried and failed with their external display accessory (I had to google it: asus rog phone-3 dual screen. To me this was the right direction, just the execution failed.)
It would be nice if it's like external screen (preferably with its own battery that could act as a slim power bank as well) you could attach it to the main phone (like the keyboards attatch to the iPads / Samsung S9 but with stronger connection so they won't fall).
Now you have the option to have 1 or 2 displays, the only disadvantage is you visibly see they are 2 screens (but you notice that on Fold5 anyway) and they are supposed to be for multi tascing. Who wants to watch videos in Fold5's terrible aspect ratio.
I have been using Z flip 3 as my only phone for two years without any problems then I bought Z flip 5 and I had no problems
Almost 3 years using samsung z flip without any problems
Oppo find n3 flip is beautiful
Foldable are the best
I don’t want a flip phone. I want a fold phone ….
8:05 It is the worst foldable in the market. And Samsung's cheap tricks make it much worse.
I love my zfold amazing
It is lazy from apple to take this long to catch up, back in the day they were innovators. Also lazy on your side Max not knowing that there is already a foldable phone out there with the same thickness and even lighter than the iphone with a wide front screen (Honor Magic V2). It is literally a normal phone that you can open whenever you need.
If vision pro so good why so many people returning back? I have a fold 4 about year and a half, and i was replace screen protector once after 1 year of use. None problems with the phone
I have ZERO desire for a foldable phone...none !
…then don’t get one
-I want a foldable to fold out with a button. Make me NOT slip while attempting to open my phone.
-I see a see through, 1 color (green) interface apple pushes out before a foldable.
I see all this to become an Apple Interface
Apple Vision Pro for Graphics
IPhone/IPad for controls (1 color in real world, multi color in Vision Pro)
Apple Watch for Control Center
What are regular people? Those that cannot afford a foldable? I don't want a plastic screen, or creases on my display. My Candy bar display is always spotless, cannot stand smudges on it. No i'm not a neat freak or perfectionist, just don't like intereference. Like driving a car with a bug splat in your forward vision.
But apple has that ugly bathtub on the screen
No chance apple will release something like this, They might have planned this for the ipad so there could be new model of the foldable ipad in future but no foldable phone in the next decade for sure.
People are crazy why do they even want flip phone
@@sercan272727 flip solves one criteria : fashion. which is a huge money maker
I don't think foldables are designed to replace traditional phones, it's really for mutlitaskers.
Samsung has high quality standards as well. They do their phones in concepts. First, there was the curved display phones to make the technology of bendable glass cheaper and refined, all that payed off because they were able to do the first foldable phone. They kept improving on the foldable phone and now Im using my first foldable via Z Fold 6 and it is really refined experience. No issues with the screen so far. It very well could be good enough to push Apple to finally pull the trigger. They've come a long way but sometimes you just gotta put it out there and learn from experience. Us Fold users know we're test subjects.
just because theyre testing foldables doesnt mean theyre planning to make iphones foldable
My brother owned Galaxy Z fold 2 and it didn’t even last a year. He had to pay extra to Telus to switch to Galaxy Ultra.
I don't think Apple will do it as long as there's screen issues. I won't buy one until there's a serious solution to the screen, like folding glass.
Hard and foldable don't go together.
@@Ni5ei the degree of hardness is the key.
I have the galaxy x fold 4 and it’s an amazing and versatile piece of hardware, I love it. I just don’t love Samsung’s Android OS for my lifestyle. I can’t wait for Apple to figure out foldables
Re: everyone in the U.S. saying they don’t see these anywhere… the U.S. is not the only nor the largest mobile device market.
Just like the alleged Car, TV and even Airpower, Apple tried but gave up in the end... which is a good thing because physics and chemistry always have its limits.
I think the switch 2 will be a foldable
I see foldable as all the time. I’m in Hong Kong
I will rather have a foldable than walking everywhere with goggles on my head and motioning around like there is a fruit fly around me.
Apple may release iPhone Fold as a 2nd anniversary edition phone in 2027.
the only foldable phone that would last the longest could be one with 2 tiny-frame-displays
Apple already has foldable phones since the release of the iPhone 12 series and they have those phones in their offices and factories
bought a Galaxy Z Fold 5 since apple doesnt do ProMotion iPad Mini, but it can't replace my iPhone
Foldable screens on phones are the future….said every Android user 5 yrs ago 🤔😅
As a person who is always using my iPad…. I find my iPhone basically useless. The main factor is multitasking. Having at least two windows open is essential for what I need to do for daily tasks. My next phone will 100% be a foldable
Apple's Vision Pro is their combo iPad and I think in the future it will get iPhone connectivity. I see iOS, iPadOS, and VisionOS rolling into one OS so they all can easily interact with each other. Vision Pro will mainly just be an monitor for OSX so to do real Pro level work you'll still need a Mac nearby. Apple never wants one device do it all they want you to need multiple devices. So Apple ecosystem of future will be Vision Pro combined with a iPhone and Mac computer.
There's a lot of people using flips where i live, I've also been using one, it's quite good!
Been using the fold 5 since months.. the last phone that would be a conversation starter like this one, at least for me was the Nokia Communicator.. absolutely loving this phone. Still too deep into the apple ecosystem so iphone 13 acts as the second phone..
Maaaan… those who like iphone mini deserve a iphone flip or the minis back…
If not… i’m one moving from my iphone mini to z flip 6 this year.
Hook up glasses/visors also instead of foldable also perhaps?
Apple should never do it because people will hate on them because the screen scratches easily. Doesn’t matter if other screens do to. They always get so much negative attention on durability and similar designs between generations even though some other manufacturers basically do the same. If they would enter the ring i would love to see the fold formfactor not the flip that folds into the same size we already know.
Apple said Samsung calls for folding screen and I raise you infinite 100” screens that you can have placed anywhere around you while you wear goggles on your face.
I hope they never make a foldable, really dislike that style and functionality
These days I’m watching these vids to see how much the title is clickbait with relation to the content. To my surprise, this one not so bad, based on the info from Friday re Apple foldable iced due to screen failures
It can't be just me that doesn't want a phone that folds, can it?
20th anniversary of the iPhone 2027.
What are you talking about ,here in India foldables are on boom each day I atleast see 1 person using a foldable
even my friends in class 12 has filp and fold devices
iPads are too good and too common. So why sell foldable phones if it means fewer iPads will be sold?
Buying samsung flip phone is the best thing ever.. never going back to have a brick in my pocket.\
It saddens me to realize that contrary to most of us, you guys don't think that your own channel deserves much more than cheap clickbaity triggering titles.
It's been a strong trend, for a while already.
I wouldn’t want a folding iPhone
I wish would make a foldable phone. I’m hoping they make it by 2026. I thought they would have been one by now
Why won’t apple make an orange 🍊 iPhone?
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is great with barely perceptible fold.
I love foldables but they do need to lower the price or put the best of the best.. I hated the fold 4 camera so I got the s24 ultra
AI probably takes over in precedence to folding screen tech.
I really don't get the point of foldables.
I’m not the least interested in a folding phone.
No matter how advanced Samsung phones are, Android OS is shit.
Based.
That has to be the dumbest post I have seen this year so far. Anyone with a brain knows why, because Android is lightyears ahead of iOS when it comes to user friendliness and ease of use.
I guess you haven't used any of there lately shit on the iphone I have both
Apple ios is also shit I owned one nether phone is the best but if you want a better ecosystem for your lifestyle better spend 20k on apple products buy everything apple but if you want a work horse samsung has army technology does apple have a military nope if you need a work beast with the freedom samsung bis awesome I love the freedom
Also who wants to have a plastic screen, that would feel so cheap and unlike apple
They have a bathtub in their screen
We will probably have vision pro 2 or even 3 before a foldable iphone 😅, however a foldable Ipad is more likely to come first, because apple always try new stuff with other hardware before trying with the iphone. Best
I thought the iphone 6 was Apple first foldable
Once transistors hit 1nm the end of moors law we cant go lower than this slab phones are at there peak folding devices are the future
that’s the only new kind of iphone i would get. i’m tired of every apple event just boasting about new cameras and faster processors. yawn.
Why would I buy a foldable phone? It’s not 2006
Do people believe that foldbale phones are the future? Or other ideas?
I've never seen anyone with a foldable phone. I don't think it's going to be a success and Apple understands that very well.
How often do you see a expensive sports car
Foldables are a gimmick and not a serious option for a serious hardware maker where quality is TOP of the agenda. Apple prototypes most hardware evolutions and inventions
I have got a foldable phone. Its not a gimmick actually. It works and it's a very advanced phone.Try one yourself.Probably won't last long with you with your attitude.
Personally I wouldn’t buy a foldable iPhone. It would be too thick in my pocket. I just think it’s a gimmick to try a sell more Samsungs smartphone
mobile phone era is already a dead space. no point in foldables
I wonder if “ Gerry Rigged My Butt Plug “ has any ideas about how to make a foldable iPhone !?.
Apple did it first in 2014 the world's first foldable phone
"iPhone 6" 😜👌
Apple is waiting for the other companies to spend big money on research and development on the foldable technology. Once the others have failed enough before a winning formula has been achieved, they will jump in and will receive praise for waiting and perfecting it. After that, all the fanboys will suddenly realize the utility of a foldable and buy it.
Ive hardly seen folding phones in the wild. Maybe on one hand level of encounters. I personally own a fold and ios products. Id love a folding ipad mini but i recognize folding tablets are not the wave consumers want, let alone folding phones.
Apple can wait on this project for a decade and nothing bad would come of it. Foldables are a cool segment of the market but not the future or an “investment”. there just arent enough practical reasons to have one over a regular slab phone.
So this video title already ticked me off at Samsung 😂😂
I’m actually excited for the new foldable iPhone. Apple will do it right unlike so many other companies. They’ll combine the best of good phones like the OnePlus Open and Samsung Z Fold, and scrap other phones like the Pixel Fold that just aren’t as good.
