The first Jedi could very possibly have been one of the Jedi who followed Revan to war against the Mandalorians. No wonder she was such a challenge
She's from the same era as Revan. But she never followed Revan to war, since she was a loyalist to the Jedi order. She was apart of a secret shadow Cabal within the order. The cabal was tasked was hunting down and eliminating anything darkside related, whether that be artifacts or members of the Jedi order tainted by the darkside. She's from the Zayne Carrick Knights of the Old Republic storyline. If you haven't done so already I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you check it out. It's a great story. It has that jedi fallen order and Mandalorion vibe.
I was so mad that Vader and Jedi Master Kirak In'fila never got a proper and satisfying rematch. I really appreciate and enjoyed the Vader comics series from 2017

Jedi Master Kirak Infil'a seemed to be the best Jedi ever. If no civilians were around to distract him, he would've won against Vader again and then went on to kill Sidious too like he said he was going to do.

Why are people saying Ashoka won the fight? She got saved by Ezra and had no way of blocking his lightsaber swing before she got pulled through the world between worlds. There was no definitive winner or loser in that fight

So Obi-Wan is the only person that vader ACTIVILY wanted to kill and also wasnt handicapped in fighting Obi-wan.
Vader vs Luke: Vader didnt want to kill Luke, he wanted Luke to join him.
Vader vs Celeste Morne: Agian Vader wasnt trying to kill her. And she had to cheat to win.
Vader vs Kirak Infil'a: Vader was knew to his suit and didnt know how to fight in it, and use it to its full potential.
Vader vs team of jedi: Why is this on the list. This isnt a 1 on 1 combat: Im gonna claim this as the jedi having to cheat to win.
So in reality. Obi-Wan is the only person that was able to beat Vader 2-3 times, and Vader was not handicapped in any way to Obi-Wan.
If you have to cheat to win, or Vader is handicapped, I personally wouldnt count it as beating Vader.

If Vader was smart, he would have immediately upgraded his suit with the latest augments, as well as pain receptors he could turn on/off at will. Since it's apparently what fueled him to begin with. Just makes too much sense to upgrade I suppose.

@@jachey8720 from what I have read from the cannon comics he had a chance to get a new suit from the emperor but apparently in order for him to be placed in this suit his life support systems would have to be turned off. Don’t quote me on it but I think that’s how it went
Yeah, the one with Luke in Ep. 6 doesn't count, as Darth Vader knew about his a son earlier that episode (and thus has a soft spot for him being his father & a reminder of Padme).
Yeah that's how I see it. Luke is very powerful in the force and definitely has some decent skill because Yoda trained him for a while but it can't possibly be as good as the structured lifelong training with access to resources received by Jedi before the fall of the republic. Darth Vader was going easy on luke because he knew he was his son and wanted to turn him to the dark side so they could kill the emperor and rule the galaxy together.

I always felt Luke tapped into the dark side and took Vader by surprised and overwhelmed him after Vader talked about his sister

Yes a win is a win I get that. Number two on this list could be debatable even though he did beat him at first and then Vader used the environment to get the upper hand in their second round but you have to remember this is not very long after revenge of the sith he was still getting used to his robot legs and the iconic suit, he pretty much had to reteach himself how to do a lot of things. Such as his fighting style, do to his heavy robotic arms and so forth Plus getting used to the suit and it's limitations we're still fresh in his mind. He eventually overcame hindrances for the most part and became stronger because of continued practice and honing his skills. He became one of the best lightsabers in the galaxy. A Win is a win though
Number one isn’t a defeat. Vader was not fighting to kill as he did not want to harm Celeste Morne. Once he made the realization that taking the amulet from her would cause the spirit of Murr to enslave him, Vader instead walked away on his own terms.
He literally put that disclaimer about not being used to the suit yet in the video. What are you on about...
He dint use the environment to win, he used the standart cowardly tactics of the sith which is involving innocents as a distraction since thats what tend to be effective against jedi

Galen Marek/Starkiller from Legends and Ahsoka Tano from The Disney Continuity are in my opinion the most interesting Jedi to have defeated Darth Vader imo mainly because they were both his apprentices at some point and naturally were more personally connected to Vader Not to mention Starkiller is OP as fuck!!!
Ahsoka did Not defeat him . She Acquitted herself wonderfully for sure . Opened his Faceplate . Then Shattered the Floor so they would have fallen .
I think she may have landed downstairs a bit better than Vader , but no Guarantees there . Doesn't matter . Ezra Snatched her as the Floor dropped .
@@johncunningham4820 I partially disagree although you made a fair point but I would argue that Ahsoka defeated him by means of damaging his helmet and almost persuading him to come back to the light she could very well have killed him if the background they were fighting in was less destructive.

Ezra saved her from death and created an alternate timeline yes however again I believe it plays into the background environment they were fighting in and had it been less chaos and obstacles in there way perhaps she could have won. Admittedly however I may be wrong.

I think Vader as an opponent was similar to fighting the Hulk - the angrier and madder he got, the more powerful he got. You wouldn't stand a chance against a fully enraged Vader.

Darth Revan did something similar too. Some of the Sith Lords of old make the present day Sith look like angels, like Exar Kun.

There were many Jedi that Vader could not defeat without dirty tricks. He frequently needed help from storm troopers or other allies to accomplish his goals. He was never truly "indomitable" as people call him.
This is just terrible writing like superman losing to Cheetah. These Many Jedi? He fell off a Mountain. No one saved him. He beat Dooku. A somewhat powerful weird looking exile should not be that much of a challenge. Those three Jedi shouldn't have stood a chance.
That's why Christian Bales character in Equilibrium is so fun. No one can challenge him.

The "defeats" are full of asterisks, and I'd also go on to say that only Obi-Wan has truly defeated Vader. With Luke, Vader was full of conflict and didn't want to kill his son.

I would say that ObiWan didn’t actually lose to Vader. He “may” have lost had they continued fighting. However, He allowed himself to be struck down (after telling Vader what would happen) in order to ascend AND teach Luke a valuable lesson. Remember the look to Luke and smirk to Vader, raised, unopposed saber?

I’ve mentioned this a couple times, but the bass in your backing track is way too high. I’m not sure what you’re using to listen back the final edit on, but it’s causing clipping on my TV, surround sound, and even my headphones. Makes your videos almost impossible to watch on anything other than my phone speakers, and even that is noticeably unbalanced. Vader was defeated at times because 1. most of his defeats were very close to after revenge of the sith where Vader still hadn't gotten used to his new being as a half-machine Sith and still didn't know how to use his mechanical suit and apart from that the first version of his suit from that time shortly after episode 3 was the weakest of all 2. his powers were weakened by what happened on mustafar where he lost his unlimited power due to his severe injuries, burns and loss of his 4 limbs of his organic body and ended up being only 80% Palpatine and below Palpatine, the emperor knew well that Vader had lost his unlimited power so after mustafar he wanted to replace him with another apprentice because he was already much less than what he had thought. it was before 3. his mechanical suit made by Palpatine to be weak limited his powers and mobility a lot and apart from being very weak to force lightning

You're right but did he add some minor things to his suit so he won't be completely disabled from attacks such as emps and electricity. And also it's been shown that even if darth Vader is badly wounded and seems to down for the count he can still be dangerous with just his force abilities shown in that comic about tarkin hunting Vader with vader lured in a trap and struck by lighting but still could've killed tarkin with force choke.

when he fought against the jedi master infila it was like immediately after episode 3 when he still hadn't gotten used to his mechanical suit and his new being as a half-machine Sith, he still didn't know how to handle his suit in combat apart from his the first version of his Sith armor from episode 3 was the weakest and most fragile of all and that's why Vader was easily killed by infila.

The Jedi never ever used their power properly. They never have any kind of strategy, it's actually kinda sad to see. 8 jedi could have easily killed Vader if used their power right. They learn to fight , but they don't know how to win

At this point, it's becoming fairly obvious that Disney Star Wars is just an ongoing stream of retcons and shoe-horned material. A good many people like the idea of expanding on what already existed, but it seems as if every time "Star Wars reveals" X or Y, it's some major, earth-shaking alteration, addition, or subtraction with regard to older lore. Likely due to how spectacularly badly the sequels went, as far as the laughable "Story Group" trying to put together new material went. They want to have their cake and eat it, too, i.e. remain safe within the framework of old beloved characters and storylines, but squeeze in their own takes on them.
