A lot to like about this package but the payload is ridiculously low and the price is pretty steep.

I have a 23 Willys Gladiator lifted 3.5" on 37x12.50r17 tires, Will Out Wheel Any Stock Rubicon or Mojave all day long 💪✌️

Ben a willys sport is the poor man's package and also, the smart man's package. Yes I have a Gobi one. 55, 60 70k is insane for a jeep.
Don’t feel too poor. I had to settle for the coupe LaFerrari because I couldn’t afford the Aperta at the time.😢
Love the color. Too many black and gray Jeeps on dealer lots. But, these would be so much more appealing if they were not priced like a boutique luxury vehicle (not really Jeep's image).
Had a 2020 Gladiator for 3 years. It was alot of fun. Convertible pickup is a game changer. Mine had a 3 inch lift and 35s and it drove and handled great. If i had a long commute it wouldnt be my choice, but for everything else, it was great.
3.73 gears are a little out of place being the same ratio on the sport. But I agree, nice truck and well done.
Price and market climate don't seem to be in the Gladiator's favor for that type of pricing but your review is awesome.
Still available with a manual, cool.

Since when is spending $55k a poor man vehicle. This is a joke and the reason why these manufacturers keep upping the price. Let's stop buying and paying hugh prices and take a stand against these ridiculous prices.

I went with a Jeep Gladiator Max Tow on 37s 4.5 inch lift, Falcons and a front locker, rear LSD. AntiRock sway bar up front.😉
I got to test drive one when i was thinking of swapping out my renegade during the winter sales of 2023. 40k-45k for a willys (with custom options), i think, is a great deal. It really feels like you're driving a tractor on the highway, and i loved it. Anything more than 50 is a STRETCH, but there are good deals out there.
The point isn't that $55K is cheap, but that it's cheaper than a Rubicon.

Ty for sharing, this paint theme really does pop well ... since I don't hit the trails to me this vehicle would not make financial sense as I can get into decently equipped full size trucks at this price point BUT this is still a neat truck to drive / own ...
I was hoping to / planning on getting / ordering a 2 door rubicon. In my mind I figured it would be in the low 40’s after building it the way I wanted it

Have u tried looking around for a preowned one? I have a 2018. 2 door hardtop JL Rubicon. I bought it in February of 2022. It was 4 years old with 18k miles. I paid $45k for it. It was a lease turn in. 6k per year lease from the previous owner. Good deals are out there. Just have to look. See if any dealers have a new 2023 sitting around. They might deal better on last year's model. Do a nationwide search.
I bought a 2020 rubicon and I thought 43 was a lot. I see 2 doors for over 60 grand now. Just crazy

@davidmengle8269 yep. These new wrangler prices are stupid. There's no way in hell I'd buy anything new right now. I have mine just like I wanted it. Lift kit. Bigger tire. New LED taillights. Insulation kit in the hard top. They had mine last fall for 9 weeks. Getting 2 news doors & hood. Because bad paint prep from the factory. There is no way I want to start over with another wrangler

These were affordable until the dealerships in my area realized this and raised the price $20k over sticker. These are 70-75k in my city. I live in B.C Canada.
Poor man?!? How about some of don’t need the off road capability of the Rubicon. I need to get through snow and a couple of fishing spots. Poor man?!! Dude, don’t be that guy. Our Willys Wrangler is just what we needed and later this year the Gladiator will do the towing we need… No poor man here, just not wasteful to satisfy others opinions of Jeep owners.
If these are really going for 55k + then they deserve to sit on dealers lots forever.
I’ve had a wrangler Sahara , Cherokee trailhawk, grand Jeep Cherokee & now I have a Rubicon unlimited. The trailhawk was 😢best in the snow. ❄️ I’m looking at gladiators now Willys because I’d rather trade in my Mercedes since it is available in manual transmission!!❤

I had a 2021 Willy Gladiator. Did all the mods. Lift, rims, tires Bumpers and winch. Stock or Modded just didn't like the on road handling. Sold it when the market was high. Went back to Tacoma TRD OffRoad. Way better.

How the heck is the payload so low. My freaking Subaru Outback has more payload. A truck should have at absolute minimum 1,000lbs of payload.

I know Stellantis says that but I haven’t found a single review where payload was more than about 1,200 pounds. This one has 880 pounds. Pathetic.
Saw a new Willys yesterday at a local dealership. $59,000 isn’t a poor man’s anything

This is the reason why American car companies keep losing market share to their competitors. The price does not justify the quality and value of the vehicle. For the same money, you can buy a Toyota Tacoma which is better in every way than the Jeep Gladiator.

the 3.6-liter engine is enough for me to stay away from jeep, had one in a 2014 Rubicon wrangler, was SAD.
You can get a loaded colorado zr2 for less than 50k these days we almost every option 😂

Agree. Truly pathetic payload and I don’t know where the 900 pounds from the supposedly 1,700 pounds max payload went because there are not many heavy options on this vehicle. I wonder what the payload is on a FULLY optioned Rubicon or Mojave? 600 pounds?
