I too am a visual person and I like to write things down where I can easily access them. I am happy that I found your channel and I look forward to following you next year.
Hi, Just found your channel and I'm looking forward to more of your great content. I'm going into my third year flower farming and have some success and some failures. I did take note of your comment about wildlife coming into your growing space and that you had some limited protection space. FYI since it happened to me- someone, ( bunnies, chipmunks both?), likes to munch on Ranunculus and Anemones!! So try and leave space in the protected area for them, as I learned the hard way. BUT - you will absolutely love ranunculus!! It's a stunner and has the longest vase life. Good luck this season.
Oh, thanks so much for being here! Luckily I did put the ranunculus in the fenced in area so I feeling thankful for that. Thank you for the advice. I cannot WAIT for the ranuncs!!! Eeeek! Thanks for being here and good luck with your third year growing!
Not boring! I love flower gardening! But I feel like a big STOP sign hits at some point and I don't know where to go next. I really appreciate your useful ideas in this 'grid' episode and I will definitely watch more. I have recently moved from the Pacific NW to East TX so I have a LOT of learning to do. I appreciate your brain! Thanks for doing this. I will recommend your site to flower (and other) gardeners! It applies to all zones.
I love that, thank you!! And happy planning! The grid paper is 100% my new best friend 😁 Good luck with the new gardening transitions - lots to learn for sure!
Thank you for creating a gardening cahnnel that can learn from. Especually from a new gardener such as yourself helps me to learn how to adjust my own garden and think about my space usage. HAPPY And blessed New year. May God always bless you with an abundace of all you need. Amen.
I just found your channel today, and I'm enjoying your videos. This video inspired me to start my planning soon. I love the visual planning and definitely a plan to keep track of how each flower does. 🌻🌿⚘️
I kept a gardening journal all last spring & summer, sorta lost some days in the fall but would catch it up. I starred every note I made about growing a specific plant, and will use it to help me be better next year 🥰. I too love writing it and drawing it out on graph paper cuz I'm a visual person who is also very technically challenged, lol. Writing it down also helps me to remember the things I learn about each type of flower. Loving your videos, best wishes for 2023! from the other side of Lake Michigan 🥰
Technology gets me every time lol! So glad there are others in the "pen and paper" group who get me!! Are you going to transfer your notes to a Microsoft doc later for safekeeping? Welcome, welcome! So glad you're here!!!! Happy Growing :)
@@pstreetflowers Have no computer so doubtful, lol. I just grow for fun & so I can keep my hand in floral designing, so probably won't be crucial as for your business 🥰. Happiest New Year to you and yours, and Wishing you a bountiful flower year!!!!
I can't wait til I can get into floral design (really learning it!) Maybe there's a way to share your work - would love to see it! I do have an instagram handle if you do that -@pstreetflowerfarm !!
Just a note that may help in the future. The time suggestion to start seeds, I.e. 4-5 (weeks includes germination, stratification, potting up and hardening off. Unless the stratification is optional. The most recent “seed talk” podcast is a good resource that can explain it better from Lisa Mason Ziegler. :). Happy growing!
@@pstreetflowers 1. FREE 😜 2. You can drag and drop things around if you need to reschedule. 3. If you have a team, they can have access and you can assign work to them.
That's a perfect schematic and plan for me too! Great minds think a like...lol do you have a seed storage idea? I definitely want to store computer garden info and plans on a easy to use program so I can change info. The only problem I see for myself with your chart...I do not think I can write that neat! I'll stay on task better if things are right in sight!

Good info thank you!!! I didn’t know! Lisa is such a great resource ♥️
I do a weird mix of paper and ASANA for planning. I also enjoy the printed layout so everyone can see it. You put in a lot of work and it shows!
Thank you! I will have to look up ASANA - what are your favorite parts about using it?!

@@pstreetflowers You’re welcome! I hope you like it. (I also love that it has an app so I can check my to do’s while I’m in the field)

Lol, I love to write! Happy growing! I store my seeds in a box 😆🙃 so I’m afraid I’m no help!
Try Geo Seeds. They give you decent number of seeds and they tell you exactly how many are in the pack.
Thanks for the tip! I’ve heard of them - I’ll keep them in mind for next year’s seed haul!! Thanks!
