Shame he didn't show much humility to one of his other biggest fans - Tupac. He stayed shitting on him subliminally throughout 1995-1997, even on the opening bars of 97's Phenomenon. Even AFTER his death. But in person throughout 1996 LL didn't confront Pac when they met, like at the March Soul Train Awards on stage when Pac snatched the mic off LL and the producers cut his audio when he tried to address the crowd in his army fatigues, or at the Lakers basketball game or even the Sept 4th MTV music video awards with Pac, Suge and Hussein Fatal sitting right in front of LL and his wife. So did the likes of Chino XL ("I'll turn Makaveli into the Macarena...."), Jay-Z & Sauce Money (Dead or Alive pt 1 and 2), King Sun ("All Eyez On Sun") and Prodigy ("Thug Life is Mine") but what more could you expect of typical salty jealous NY rappers...?

@Bastardz Alley LL doesn't big the drug culture because even though he wasn't directly apart of it, he directly benefited from it by having its most hardened participants around him. "Most people who are actually in that life, wish they weren't" when he says that, you also understand that he understood that him and his spot had such a massive target on his back... Its ironic, because even though LL does not talk about the drug culture, those within the drug culture ultimately want to be like him and he recognizes that... Currently, the rap game drags kids from the suburbs into the street life and that is really fucked up... Look at this fuckin idiot Aaron Carter, guy went from being known for singing "Lolipop" to being known for getting outrageous face tattoos, the game is all sorts of fucked up today.

21:21 Lawd have mercy 🔥🔥🔥🔥 LL seems very good at articulating that message. The tone, the sincerity, the bluntness, shit the realness of how he phrased it! Much respect

Facts
"Be on time!" That's so real. 15 minutes early is on time, on time is late, late...don't bother showing up. There are so many jewels in this interview & actually not all come from LL.
How many are still watching this in 2022?🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely ADORE,RESPECT, APPRECIATE & LOVE LL COOL J!😘😍
Wow 21:30 he talks about not bigging up drug culture salute ✊🏾
Well as I recall he had a song rapping about Rich Porter, Azie, and Alpo...
Drops some real gems there. Real talk
@@lailonnietukes4456 how old was he at the time?? He also explains at the age thats all he knew
@@lailonnietukes4456 I'm surprised he's still alive hanging out with alpo. Alpo is a snake and killed his friends
LL got Nore blushing awww lol .. he really honored
LL is HILARRRRIOUSS .. HE FADED LMAO
LL def watched Goodfellas before coming on to this show LOL so many references ...even Henry Hill's Laugh
Seti
Yeah, especially with the Joe Pesci "Go fuck ya mudder" vibe
LL laughs like the joker 😂😂😂
He played that role, in a Keith Murray song: Incredible
When LL brought Canibus out on stage at 4 yrs ago, he let Canibus do his "4,3,2,1" verse, then said "Make some noise for Canibus. Your career's back on baby!!" Lmao. Shat on him, while giving him life, lol...
The REAL GOAT he never bowed to the industry he told them what he gone do
Just like his autobiography book “I make my own rules” LL really meant that
@@josephbriggs7067 after he did his DNA with Henry Louis Gates, he might have to redo the book.
@@DermDZL1 what's that suppose to mean. Enlightened us.
@@skyjack8541 just what it sounds like. Or, at least, do an extension of it. The fact that he had come across the discovery of his grandparents adopting his mother, and finding out about the family he didn't know existed.
No doubt given LL his props Sending LL a major shout out. #LLDaGOAT #ToddDaGod 🌿👑⚘
I loved this interview. A wealth of knowledge this man has. His maturity and wisdom is unmatched.

Hearing OG’s tell their story is dope 💯
This was the best one yet!!!!'m LL Cool J the G.O.A.T
I always appreciate how LL keeps it real while everyone always tries to sensationalize the home invasion.
I just found out about it today, 4/12/23
What's crazy is everything LL said about the conversation with Canibus was caught on tape. He tried to give Canibus some sound advice but he didn't listen. Clef gassed him up to get his head cut off.
This interview is LEGENDARY
The G.O.A.T.!! He is definitely a pioneer of hip-hop!! Love me some LL!
