We just had our second boy September 1st, and we chose Ronen Pierce (Ronen- Hebrew for “joy;” Pierce - derivative of Peter = strong). It’s not one you hear often.
Our first son is Asher David, also Hebrew.

Do you ever go to a cemetery to read the names on the headstones? This is a favourite pastime of mine as a name-lover! In one of my locals there's a grave belonging to Almond, which was their first name. I thought this might be an interesting video idea, depending on what you find? You could even take us out and about with you as a vlog-style Baby Name Monday?

@@hellohello.7672 I do understand that and that's what SJ herself said in one of her other videos. I think if you are complimenting people's names it could be done positively and respectfully and could be an absolutely lovely video. I would imagine that would involve not filming the headstones directly and not mentioning any details except first and middle names, not last names or dates of birth, for example. I think a TH-cam namer will do it one day :)

I would love to see obvious boy/girl twin names. Like, Noel (girl) and Leon (boy), which are palindromes. Or April and August (months), Scarlett and Crimson (color red), Fable (girl) and Lore (boy) (meaning ‘story’). Most people hearing the names would automatically hear they have a themed meaning. Thank you for the quality videos! I’m done having kids, but I will always have a pet to name!

The other day I meet a lady with 4 daughters called Willow, Delilah, Everleigh and Aurora I thought they were so cute names. I have also fallen in love with the name Cartia it means Endless love which is so cute. It does sound a bit like cartel which is not that great.

Elowen is beautiful and a great way to get Ella if you love it! Perry/Perrie always reminds me of Perrie Edwards which I think is lovely! Perry could be used as a nickname for Peregrine or Persephone.

I had my daughter in August and named her Elowyn. We do not emphasize the O because we love how it flows. We call her Ellie :)
We named my daughter Elowen, she was born in May. We call her Lo. I’m from the south west so use the traditional Cornish pronunciation.

Rowan is beautiful. It seems to have been pretty popular around the time I was born (1991) here in Australia. Elowen is beautiful as well and I love it pronounced with the O sound in the middle like you would pronounce it. Kind of like a mix between Eleanor and Arwen (character from Lord Of The Rings)
One of my college mates had a baby boy and named him Conan...loved that, fits right in with Rowan, Calvin and Cohen (all a bit more popular at the moment)
İ have loved the name lila since I read Beautiful Creatures. In the series, the main characters mother was called "Lila Jane Evers-Wate", and i think it is possibly one of the most beautiful names I've ever heard❤️

The only Rowan I’ve ever known was a girl but I love it for a boy too! She pronounced it differently (as in “to get in a row with someone”) but it suited her so well, I’ve loved it ever since.
Reuben has recently made it to the top of my boy name list! Funny, I wasn't a fan when I first heard it, I just thought of ruben sandwiches lol. But then all of a sudden I imagined myself with a little Reuben and fell in love with the idea! My favorite boy name is Zander so I'd probably use that for my first son, but I love the idea of Reuben as my first son because "Behold, a son." is just so fitting for a first born boy haha

Oh my gosh, I just found your channel today and I love it. I too have always been obsessed with baby names. A few of my past favorite names have come up in the couple videos I've watched today. Back in the 90's, as a teenager, I LOVED the name Ilana (ill-lah-na) September. I thought September was so pretty and such an overlooked "month-as-a-name" name. And Ilana was a member of the New Mickey Mouse Club on Disney at the time! Haha Right now I love the name Lilac for a little girl. There's so many others I was excited to see. You're just adorable and your videos are fun and cute. I'm totally fan-girling over here. ❤️❤️
Vada is cool! It’s also kind of a Southern old lady name, as is it’s close cousin Vadie. I had never seen Vadie used in a modern context until earlier this year a little girl in a small town in my state went missing and was found two days later completely fine wandering the woods with her dog. And her name was Vadie! So a strong one for sure. (If you want the full story, just google “Vadie Sides”.)

My favorite names at the moment are Éléonore, Margo, Frida and Nadia for girls. And for boys I love Laurent, Klaus, Edwin and Nigel. Éléonore and Laurent are french names ( my first language is french) and they are my absolute favorites! What do you think of them?
My niece is called Delilah Amelia & since she was born we have always called her Lilah. It is the cutest little name & it really does suit her.
