I think a list of unfortunate meaning names would be really interesting.. Would be curious to see how many people would be willing to see beyond the meaning if it really wasn’t that nice. The reason I thought of it is because I recently added the name Mallory to my list after seeing it on a show, but was a bit deterred by the meaning which is “the unfortunate one”. Super gutting! 😂 Loved this weeks video as always.

Also I've never heard of Lilith being called Lucifer's wife before, from what I understood according to Jewish folklore she was the first wife of Adam who was so unwilling to submit to him (the world's first feminist some might say) that God, and this is where it gets confusing because some articles say he sent her to hell (which is possibly where the whole wife of Lucifer thing comes from) or she's turned in to snake. Depending on which article you decide to believe it's either Lilith as a snake or one of her children (most of the versions where she's sent to hell seemingly agree that she gives birth to a whole lot of snakes) is the one who convinces Eve to eat the apple
I thought she was just cast out of Eden. I also heard she became the wife of another fallen angel that fought along Lucifer, not Lucifer himself, and mothered a whe lot of demons.

A good similar name that was popular around the same time as Alma is Nova. It means “new” and also has astronomy connections but it was a very popular name, like Alma was, in the nineteen teens and twenties. It would have been very plausible for an Alma to have a sister Nova a hundred years ago. I think both, while popular in the past, feel very modern and sleek.

Love all these names SJ 💓 Faye was my number 1 name for my daughter but husband didn’t think it worked with our surname Kyte 🙁 I think with a longer middle name it could have worked. Love it so much. We now have an Elsie Caitlyn and a Raife Alexander.

A list of names from French Canada could be nice! They are still French, but they vary from the ones in france. I think fance is much more influenced by Europe, and Quebec by the rest of America. I think they are a little bit more modern too so it could be good for parents who want a french name but that doesn't sound too old fashioned. 😄
This happened to me recently...dreamed I had triplet boys (I already have four children, three of whom are boys) and I couldn't think of a name for the third one...just ended up officially calling him " baby" 😂🙄

I’m so on the fence about Lilith, it’s definitely my favourite ‘lily’ name because the th ending really gives it a kick but the mythology of her being the mother of all demons is quite intense 😂 I was shocked by a this morning interview about a couple who had to have a legal battle with their local registrar to name their child Lucifer! I’m massively crushing on the name Alma, after watching the Netflix show ‘The English Game’ 😍
My great aunt's name is Willa, but we're Afrikaans so we pronounce it with a hard W (like a V sound, almost "Villa"). It's incredibly old school, where I'm from 😅 never thought I'd see it on a name list of yours

A good similar name that was popular around the same time as Alma is Nova. It means “new” and also has astronomy connections but it was a very popular name, like Alma was, in the nineteen teens and twenties. It would have been very plausible for an Alma to have a sister Nova a hundred years ago. I think both, while popular in the past, feel very modern and sleek.
My grandmother's name was Willa. Love the name but there are four Williams in in my immediate family!

Faye was my number 1 name for my daughter but husband didn’t think it worked with our surname Kyte 🙁 I think with a longer middle name it could have worked.

A list of names from French Canada could be nice! They are still French, but they vary from the ones in france. I think fance is much more influenced by Europe, and Quebec by the rest of America. I think they are a little bit more modern too so it could be good for parents who want a french name but that doesn't sound too old fashioned. 😄
