Generally I find I purchase the best "gifts" for me. :-) ET1 (M90), ET7 (M94) and ET6 (M92) are my favorite hit-n-miss engines, in that order. ET1 (M90) was the first in the series. ET7 (M94) has a simplified governor and is easiest to work on in terms of replacing the piston ring o-ring. EM2 (M19) is also a really nice engine. Pretty little engine and a good runner. I would totally avoid the ET5 (M12), ET5 Pro (M12 pro), ET5S (M12C) and ET8 (M93) engines. I always suggest using PayPal for payment which simply gives you one more layer of protection. Therefore if it is damaged in shipment or doesn’t run you are covered. Banggood appears to no longer be interested in selling engines or unwilling to keep them in stock. I was wanting to doo a table that models a town with its own power station a telephone magneto of sorts and transformer power lines and finally a small town that lights up with power this looks like a better option than the hit and miss..
I've just ordered one of these beauties and I'm super excited to get a look at it! I'll probably end up buying some of the other wonderful model engines featured on you channel! Just got mine in the mail, absolutely beautiful! for some reason mine takes 3 AA batteries for the ignition.
Interesting. They change things from time to time. You may end up wanting to put a dummy battery in place of one of the batteries. We found the ignition would (sometimes) cut out on the Hit & Miss engines when 3 batteries were used.
How does it hold up? Is it still working? (Do you recommend this engine for someone that want a nice model gasoline engine, to run maybe once a month and put up for display the rest of the time?)
Good question, but not necessarily an easy one to answer. Are you mechanically minded? Have you worked with or on engines before? If not, I would not recommend this engine. A lot of people like this engine but a lot of people have trouble with this engine as well. In my opinion the ET1 and ET7 Hit & Miss engines are the best/easiest to own. You will still need to be willing to work on them but it is not that difficult… you gotta start somewhere. If you are mechanically minded and know how to work on stuff… hands-on… then I would consider the EM1 which I consider a work of art and a beautiful display engine. But still… I would start with the ET7 (easiest to work on) or ET1 first. With all of these engines keep them oiled and if you are not going to run it immediately, take out the fuel, water and batteries. I have quite a few videos on these engines… and a playlist which contains all of them. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe. That is what keeps this channel running. Ron
@@RonaldWalters2010 Wow, that is a fantastic answer. Thank you so much! It actually seems a bit daunting to get one. 250 euro is a lot of money, and I don't intend to invest a lot of time in getting them to work, much less keeping them working. The steam and stirling engines I have 'just work' when I show them off, and provide me with a lot of enjoyment by just looking pretty the rest of the time. It seems these gasoline engines are in another class, both requiring a bigger investment of time as well as money. I did view your other videos as well, but this one grabbed my attention the most. It just looks and sounds so nice. I also considered the Aliexpress "self circulating internal combustion engine model", which seems less complex and prone to breaking down, but also considerably less pretty. (Edit: aliexpress.com/i/4000008141818.html ) I'll think about it some more before I make the investment! (Also, to anyone reading; I highly recommend you use the coupon codes in the description of the video. For this engine, it saves you 50 euro. I wasted 10 euro on my steam engine by not using it.)
I looked at the “self circulating internal combustion engine model”. I think it was listed on Banggood (maybe still is). I thought it was too gimmicky with the clear combustion chamber and other stuff… gave it a miss as I could foresee problems. I would recommend the “Tarot Large Scale Stirling Engine” which is very attractive and a good performer. Also good are the following small engines. Microcosm - Mini Live Steam Engine Microcosm - Mini Beam Steam Engine Mini Vertical Stirling Engine
Once broken in, the engine will start easily by just rotating it through compression with your fingers, I have never needed the drill or rope starters. The engine can be ran with the non-ignition magnet side flywheel removed, and it will have faster throttle response. Different sized pullies can be mounted in place of that flywheel.
Thank you for the great video explanation, Ron. Do you think I could power a little RC-modelship via gearbox with one or two ET5 engines ? Kind regards, Wolfgang ( from germany )
Wolfgang, I think you would be disappointed with this engine for that purpose. You may want to consider something like the following. There are different versions. Some of these have electric starters and are water cooled. They are intended to run on methanol fuel with glow plugs. They say there are ignition conversion available so it can run on petrol. You would need to look around for everything. www.banggood.com/custlink/v3DYLmFiwF The following may be good so you can play with it as see if it is suitable for your purpose. The RPM may be too high for you as it may cavitate the props. I have no experience with these engines but they look interesting. www.banggood.com/custlink/GKmhODHliw Thanks for watching. You can run these engines on regular automotive gasoline however you do not need all the additives which tend to be in automotive gasoline. Dear Ron , short question: in which direction should the carbretor screw be turned for lean mixture ? and for rich mixture ? Thanks a lot greeting from germany !!
Clockwise rotation closes the valve, which makes the mixture leaner. Counterclockwise opens the valve for a richer mixture. Something I did not cover in this video is that the carburetor has two needle valves… one for high speed and one for low speed (idle speed). Get the engine running correctly before messing with the low speed needle and remember, do not over speed the engine. Hopefully the carburetor was correctly set from the factory so the engine runs just as you received it. Also, the carburetor settings will be a little easier after the engine has warmed up a little. This video explains the adjustment of both needles… a little over halfway through the video. Eachine ET5S Twin Cylinder Engine Review th-cam.com/video/kdk1FlVH3iQ/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching. Hi Ronald Great video. I got the same engine, but I'm too stupid to start the engine with the included tool. I would like to to start it with my cordless drill and the adapter you are using, which is fitting in the machine's wheel. Unfortunately, nowhere in Amazon , Ebay or anywhere else I can't find this special Bit ( adapter ) I have to say, that I live in Munich, Germany. Probably you could tell me, how the adapter is named, so that I have a chance to find it somewhere here in Germany or Europe.
I just had to watch your unboxing part carefully, so I detected the adapter which was included in the package. But unfortunately, the engine doesn't start at all. It's obviously a little bit different to your one, because it's using 3 batteries ( 4.5V).Fueltank and batteries are full, so I really don't know, why it's not starting.
It can be frustrating when one of these decides not to run. This is my basic (canned response) checklist for this engine. I assume you have compression. Sometimes the valves can stick open and there will be no compression. Just flick the valves gently to get them to free up and seal. Make sure the switch is wired correctly… so “ON” is actually “ON”. It is possible for it to be wired backwards accidentally. The boot needs to be on the spark plug and then the wire just butts up against the end of the plug. They changed the battery pack to hold three batteries some time ago. Make sure the three batteries are installed in the battery holder in the correct orientation. Make sure your batteries are good and that you have a good spark. This engine does not have much compression (at least my ET5 did not have much compression). If you have zero compression, remove the valve cover and flick the valves a little and make sure the valves are actually closing. And that there is a slight gap between the valve arm and the valve stem. You need some compression. Start with the carburetor needle valve 1/4 turn open. You may need to GRADUALLY increase the opening of the needle valve 3/8 to 1/2 turn (maybe a little more). Each engine (or each carburetor) could be slightly different. Carburetor needs to be full closed to the idle position (this is set at the factory) for starting. What fuel are you using? I have a video on the Correct Fuel. After it starts running, then you can close the needle valve slightly until it runs correctly. It is not easy to get all the air out of the fuel line. Fill the tank completely so the connection to the fuel line is completely covered. If there is any air in the fuel line, even one bubble, the engine will not start. With the engine starter (cordless drill) turning, place your finger over the carburetor to choke the engine and completely fill the fuel line. If you run out of fuel, then air will get into the fuel line and you will need to do this again. If you get too much fuel into the engine (flooded engine and the spark plug is too wet) it will not start either. Then you will need to dry the plug and get excess fuel out of the cylinder. To do this gently remove the spark plug and spin the engine with a rope starter. I really do not recommend using the cordless drill adapter. I think it can be a bit rough on the engine. Sometimes the cordless drill starter can make it more difficult to start the engine because you must pull the adapter out while the drill it running full speed. Sometimes this can drag and actually slow down the engine. Or your cordless drill may not turn fast enough. Make a rope starter using smaller cord as I show in my video. It will spin the engine faster than a cordless drill. Get someone to help you hold the engine so you do not accidentally pull it off the table and drop or damage the engine. Keep the box and all packing materials for the engine until you are satisfied the engine is running correctly. Hope that helps. Please let me know how you do. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe. Hi Ron Thank you so much for your quick and detailed answer and troubleshooting steps. I will check all of your advices and will be back to you soon. Keep you informed. Regards. Werner
Hi Ron. Meanwhile I checked everything. There are a couple of things, I'm not sure about it. First, to the spark there is no connector to it, just a red wire in the black rubber part. Not sure wether this is ok so. Contact problems? My three batteries have a charge of aprox. 1.45 each. In seriell, total voltage is 4.1V. Not sure, wether this is enough for the funtionality. My third concerning is the fuel. As in some youtube videos seen, I'm using normal Zippo Lighter fuel. But this is more than 8 years old. Could it be, that the consistency is not ok anymore? I also played with the oil needle and the carburetor, without any success.
Hi Ron Watching another video from you, I learned a lot again. Now I know, that the red wire, heading to the spark has no connector. The ignitor is working with the 4.1V. The spark is always there, easily to see in dark. No idea, why the engine still doesn't start. Probably the old Zippo lighter fuel?
I got one a few days ago but it won't start. I filled the reservoir with zippo lighter fluid, put water in the cooling tank and a few drops of oil in the crank case. I tried also choking the carburetor while pulling on the string to start it but to no avail... Spark plug is ok and produces sparks, I checked.
If there is any air in the fuel line between the tank and carb it will not start. If you over-choke the carb and get the spark plug too wet it will not start until it dries out. Throttle on the carb must be fully closed to the idle position or it will not start. Valves on this engine stick open sometimes. Flick them to make sure they are seating and you have compression. Hope that helps… have fun! Please subscribe. That is what keeps this channel running. Ron

Dear Sir, what kind of fuel are you using to make this engine running easily? Coleman fuel+4%mystery oil or just #91 gas(but the gas we can buy all have 10% Methanol)? Thanks a lot!
I use Coleman fuel plus "Just A Hint" of Marvel Mystery Oil (much less than 4%). Personally, I have not used gasoline (petrol) in these engines since Coleman fuel burns so clean. All you can do is try the highest octane gasoline/petrol you can buy.
Thanks Sir. I just bought a M12 followed by your link. The enigne not work, so I have tested the ignition and it is normal. I have also cleaned the spark plug and its chamble and get rid of the oil inside. But still the engine not work at all. I have spend another hour to loose main oil needle from 1/8 to 1/2 after fully tight. I rotate a little by little with hand, but engine still can not start. I checked the spark plug after that and it is still dry. Is there a perfect position of main oil needle? Even missed a little or over a little, the engine will not start? I need to rotate the main needle more carefully?

One other thing... do not tighten the needle valve too tight (only close it gently) as it is possible to break the point of the needle off if tightened too tight. It can take a little experimentation to find the correct needle position. Each engine can be a little different. After it starts and warms up a little further adjustment will be required. Too much oil in the fuel can also be a problem. Just enough Marvel Mystery Oil to change the color a little is plenty.

Hello Ronald, I have a question ! I bought one of these motors Eachine ET5. Now I have accidentally turned the screw where the throttle sits on it. Since then I can no longer adjust the engine, I have it now running, but as soon as I operate the throttle, the engine goes out. Can you possibly send me a manual on how I can set the engine again from scratch that he runs as I got him. So as the carburetor was set on delivery !?? With kind regards Reiner Stähler
Hello Reiner, When you say you “turned the screw,” are you referring to the “needle valve”? Carburetor needle valve adjustment for most of these model engines is very sensitive. It is a very fine point between running and not running. There is no manual. Where did you buy the engine? How long have you had it (when did you receive it)? Is this your first model engine or do you have previous experience with such engines? Ron
@@RonaldWalters2010 Hello Ron, this is my 3 engine of this type. I have one ET1 and two ET5 the second I bought when I had adjusted the carburetor needle and he no longer ran !!! I bought both engines from Bangood. If you want to know when I received it for reclamation or repair, I don't want to send it back, then I guess I will keep experimenting until I eventually find the adjustment again. Have but otherwise not so much experience with these engines !!! Reiner
But no problem Ron, just thought maybe there is a guide on how best to proceed to get the engine back to clock condition. Eventually I'll write to Eachine and ask there times although I have little hope. Your channel is really the hammer would like to have a few more of these engines as well as the Eachine EM1, EM3, EM4 and so on and so on. If they are cheaper again I will certainly get me again a model. I think you are just great ! Unfortunately, they are not very often sold from Poland or from Czech Republic, because otherwise I also have to pay customs and or import tax in Germany, but I do not give up hope! Greeting Reiner
Hello Reiner, Well, I hope you are using the links and discount codes in my video descriptions whenever you purchase an engine. I find the ET5 to be somewhat problematic. Do not waste your money on the ET5 Pro. Also, I have declined to review the new 2-cylinder version ET5S. ETX runs well but is too complicated. I would recommend buying something else instead. ET6 and ET7 are good engines. Stay away from the ET8. Way too many problems with this engine. EM1 double piston engine runs nicely, however it does tend to shake itself apart and requires frequent re-tightening and re-timing. Mine did not run out of the box. I had to replace a number of setscrews, which were too short, and then I had to figure out how to time it. Asking Eachine for help was a total waste of time… they did not want to answer anything. They acted like I was asking for trade secrets and I am trying to help sell their engines! The EM1 is VERY, VERY sensitive to needle valve adjustment. But I think it is a beautiful engine just to look at! EM2 seems like a very nice little engine. Very steady runner… and also a pretty little engine. For most engines… gently close the needle valve and open it 1/4 turn. Absolutely no air in the fuel line. Once it is running and has warmed up a little… adjust the needle valve (very slowly) for best running. If you are using regular automotive petrol in your engines, carbon could become a problem. Fouling a spark plug or it does not take much to hold a valve open slightly and then it will not run. I like the Coleman fuel with very little Marvel Mystery Oil as it is clean burning. ET5 … the fuel line is difficult to get out all the air and maybe the little o-rings on the connectors could leak a little air. My needle valve was 1/4 to 1/3 turn open. The ignition system on older engines had a habit of quitting when 3 batteries were used. So we accidentally discovered that the problem went away with only 2 batteries plus a dummy battery, which lowered the voltage. I will be reviewing the EM3 and EM4 next. Currently it looks like Banggood is out of stock for many of the engines. Sorry I cannot be of more help with your ET5 Have fun! Ron
@@RonaldWalters2010 Hello Ron, thanks for the tips, the with the2 batteries I have used directly already with the 1 engine and only 2 batteries and a dummy. Sorry I had completely overlooked, no I have the needle on the throttle adjusted, not the needle where the fuel line arrives! I use lighter gasoline with a small shot of 2 stroke oil!!! I will definitely use their links to the engines, as I said when you are cheaper again. Have a nice weekend Ron. Until then times Reiner
Not all 2 stroke oil is created equal and may be a bit too much for these small engines, possibly fouling the plug. I have a video on the fuel I recommend - Hit & Miss Engines - The Correct Fuel th-cam.com/video/TvLziWCI7Oo/w-d-xo.html

Have you had reason to strip your ET5 down yet? Mine has lost all compression after very little running time. I'm guessing that there is a problem with the O rings.
Hey Ron I got my engine to ouff! It wants to start but smoke is coming out the carb on the intake stroke. I did have the rods out. How can I adjust the timing!
Since you had it apart...make sure both valves are closing as they have a tendency to stick open... and that both have clearance with the rockers. As built, the timing is pretty much fixed. The magnet and hall effect sensor are under the flywheel without the rope starter. You need to make absolutely sure all the air is out of the fuel line or it will never run. Good luck!

Did you watch the video? 3:52 it clearly shows “Coleman Fuel Is Basically The Same As Zippo Lighter Fuel” Zippo Fuel would be the most expensive way to run the engine.
@@RonaldWalters2010 honestly I probably wasn't paying attention. It was late at night. I currently am using zippo fluid. The engine ran when I first got. I cannot for the life of me get it to run again. I've taken it apart checked o ring, made sure valves are opening right and not stuck. Spark is fine although oil is coming through the actual park plug. Ordered a new plug. Hopefully it works. Is there a different adjustment for the lighter fluid?
I have seen leaking spark plugs but probably not in the last 10 to 15 years. :-) And unless it is REALLY leaking I would think it would still work. We’re talking very low compression with this engine. If you ran out of fuel last time you ran it, you probably have air in the fuel line again. Even one bubble in the fuel line and it will not run. And it will not start unless the carb is fully closed to the idle position. And the obvious… make sure the battery is good. There needs to be just a little oil in the fuel as covered in my video. @@RonaldWalters2010 Ron, I ordered a new spark plug and new piston rings. I've been at this engine for quite some time. I've started from 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 and even to 3/4". When I put the new plug in, I did get it to pop some smoke out but will not run. I noticed there is an idle adjustment screw on the opposite side of the fuel screw. Can you tell me the adjustment on yours started from all the way in? Also, what is the tiny hex head on the front of the carb? I have plenty of spark, good gas, good compression, fast drill and still nothing. I even made a super long pull cord so I can really get it going fast. My main concern is the idle adjustment screw. I did mess with that.
Does anyone know the silicone piston ring dimension and thickness for this engine? I found it's much cheaper to get replacements in bulk on E-Bay if the size is known.

Thanks for very detailed review ; I like this engine much ... but how it works is still a mystery ... 😀 compared to my usual steam companions ! I´m not sure I would cope with serious issues...
Does not run the smoothest. Misfires alot..I also do not like the fact there is not magneto ignition source. But what do ya want with Chineseium stuff.
I have spent hours trying to get it run and it barely runs on 91 octane. Can't get it to speed up or idle slow. I'm wishing I never wasted my money on one.
The model engines from Eachine are test run before they are boxed. Every person I have communicated with regarding one of their model (hit & miss) engines not running was doing something wrong. Wrong fuel, dead battery, spark plug wire loose, something. I have seen several of these Mini Gasoline Engines running and have not received a complaint regarding the ET5.
@@RonaldWalters2010 that's good to know. I have tried lighter fuel fluid...still not good. The highest octane we have is 91. Thought I would go to our local airport and beg borrow steal some higher octane. I did notice there is a lot of tappet clearance on my exhaust valve. also noticed a lot of play on my crankshaft. I thought there are ball bearings in there. I wish they would include spark plug gap specs and tappet specs.
Take the valve cover off and "flick" the valves open (gently) a few times to make sure they are seating. The piston rings are o-rings. This has fairly low compression and it is a short stroke. Doesn't take much (carbon) to hold a valve open. The Marvel Mystery Oil doesn't seem to create carbon, at least not much. You don't need aviation gasoline. However, mechanics are always draining off the bottom of wing tanks to make sure there is no water, so they probably have a bit sitting around. The spark plug wire just butts up against the side of the plug... make sure it is touching. Close is generally good enough. Make sure you have a good battery. The ignition will draw down a single cell after a while. Needle valve 1/4 turn open is plenty for starting (at least for my carb). After it is running and warms up a bit you will probably open it up a bit more. After it runs-in for a while, it will probably run better. Remember it is a model engine... not intended to run flat-out all the time. Coleman fuel (lighter fuel), which is naphtha based fuel, works well. Using a cordless drill is an acquired art... better to make a starter rope like I show in the video until you get it to start and run reliably. Don't give up on it just yet. It can be a bit finicky but it does run pretty well. The carb is touchy... you need to acquire a feel for the engine. Ron
@@RonaldWalters2010 I live in Utah...dunno why that matters. Thanks for your suggestions. Valves are loose. Battery is 1.53v. Pulled the spark plug and grounded it against the engine and there is good spark visible. I would be delighted with only a steady idle as opposed to running flat out. I bought Coleman fuel yesterday and the engine seized up and did not run on it's own....it ran while dwindeling off to a stop after cordless drill cranking. Then I overdosed it with lighter fluid through the carburetor and got it to free up. Now I know why you mix Marvel M. with the Coleman fuel which seems counterproductive because it decreases the desired flashpoint. According to Wikepedia no state sells 95 octane and 93 is the highest in some states. No one should spend $250 and have to struggle to get it to run. I am curious how you know that each engine is test run at the factory. Wish I could get a refund.

What a cool little engine!
That would be such a great gift for anyone who is a good mechanic. I would be so happy to have one as a gift. 😊
Generally I find I purchase the best "gifts" for me. :-)
ET1 (M90), ET7 (M94) and ET6 (M92) are my favorite hit-n-miss engines, in that order.
I now recommend obtaining these engine from EngineDIY.com

I was wanting to doo a table that models a town with its own power station a telephone magneto of sorts and transformer power lines and finally a small town that lights up with power this looks like a better option than the hit and miss..
I want one for an rc boat! Very cool!

(Edit: aliexpress.com/i/4000008141818.html )
I'll think about it some more before I make the investment!
Microcosm - Mini Live Steam Engine
Microcosm - Mini Beam Steam Engine
Mini Vertical Stirling Engine
very good channel❤️
Once broken in, the engine will start easily by just rotating it through compression with your fingers, I have never needed the drill or rope starters. The engine can be ran with the non-ignition magnet side flywheel removed, and it will have faster throttle response. Different sized pullies can be mounted in place of that flywheel.
Thank you for the great video explanation, Ron. Do you think I could power a little RC-modelship via gearbox with one or two ET5 engines ? Kind regards, Wolfgang ( from germany )
Wolfgang,
I think you would be disappointed with this engine for that purpose. You may want to consider something like the following. There are different versions. Some of these have electric starters and are water cooled. They are intended to run on methanol fuel with glow plugs. They say there are ignition conversion available so it can run on petrol. You would need to look around for everything.
www.banggood.com/custlink/v3DYLmFiwF
The following may be good so you can play with it as see if it is suitable for your purpose. The RPM may be too high for you as it may cavitate the props. I have no experience with these engines but they look interesting.

@@RonaldWalters2010 ok thanks

Hi Ron
Thank you so much for your quick and detailed answer and troubleshooting steps. I will check all of your advices and will be back to you soon. Keep you informed.

Hi Ron
Watching another video from you, I learned a lot again. Now I know, that the red wire, heading to the spark has no connector. The ignitor is working with the 4.1V. The spark is always there, easily to see in dark.
No idea, why the engine still doesn't start. Probably the old Zippo lighter fuel?
Where can i buy one and how much are they
Links for the purchase and coupon codes are in the description for this video. Thanks for watching. Ron

I use the same coleman fuel and marvel mastery oil as you did.

What lube could you recommend? 10W40 for everything? Id use some ptfe spray for the cam and the gears, or is there something better?

Hello Ronald,
I have a question !
Hello Reiner,
When you say you “turned the screw,” are you referring to the “needle valve”?
Carburetor needle valve adjustment for most of these model engines is very sensitive.
It is a very fine point between running and not running.
There is no manual.
Where did you buy the engine? How long have you had it (when did you receive it)?
Is this your first model engine or do you have previous experience with such engines?
Ron

Hello Ron,
this is my 3 engine of this type.
Reiner
But no problem Ron,
just thought maybe there is a guide on how best to proceed to get the engine back to clock condition.
Hello Reiner,
Well, I hope you are using the links and discount codes in my video descriptions whenever you purchase an engine.
Sorry I cannot be of more help with your ET5
Have fun!
Ron

Not all 2 stroke oil is created equal and may be a bit too much for these small engines, possibly fouling the plug. I have a video on the fuel I recommend - Hit & Miss Engines - The Correct Fuel th-cam.com/video/TvLziWCI7Oo/w-d-xo.html

Good video. Nice demonstration.
Have you had reason to strip your ET5 down yet? Mine has lost all compression after very little running time. I'm guessing that there is a problem with the O rings.
Mine has never had a lot of compression. Right now I cannot get mine to fire. Still working one it (on occasion when I have time).
The same Eachine that makes quadcopters ?
Looks like it... although I have no experience with anything else they make.
thank you
Hey Ron I got my engine to ouff!
Good luck!

Very nice.
Tough choice between this and a hit and miss
I would strongly suggest the new ET6 Hit & Miss w/ Flying Ball Governor. I expect to release a video on it within the next week.

Very very good
What is power in watt per second of ET 5?
These are model engines. I do not post any more specifications than what the manufacturer gives. Click on a link (located in the video description) for any particular engine and you can read what specs are available on the Banggood website.

These are interesting little engines, but you may find one of the Hit & Miss engines such as the ET1 or ET7 more enjoyable to own long term. I have videos on these engines and the correct fuel for them. Thanks for watching! Ron

Will it run on zippo lighter fluid
And unless it is REALLY leaking I would think it would still work.
It can be frustrating when one of these decides not to run.
This is my basic (canned response) checklist for this engine.
First, the boot needs to be on the spark plug and then the wire just butts up against the end of the plug.
This engine does not have much compression. If you have zero compression, remove the valve cover and flick the valves a little and make sure the valves are actually closing. And that there is a slight gap between the valve arm and the valve stem. You need some compression.
You may need to open the needle valve 3/8 to 1/2 turn. Each engine (or each carburetor) could be slightly different.
After it starts running, then you can close the needle valve slightly until it runs correctly.
Carburetor needs to be full closed to the idle position (this is set at the factory).
Hope that helps. Please let me know how you do.
Thanks for watching.
Happy T-Bird Day!
Ron
Also, I am getting fuel in the cylinder. Made it clear I have no air bubbles by priming it. Help would be extremely appreciative.
Does anyone know the silicone piston ring dimension and thickness for this engine? I found it's much cheaper to get replacements in bulk on E-Bay if the size is known.

Good video and demonstration of gasoline engine, not bad for hobby, I prefer sterling engine it only uses
candle or solar heat to make it run.
Thanks for very detailed review ;

Does not run the smoothest. Misfires alot..I also do not like the fact there is not magneto ignition source. But what do ya want with Chineseium stuff.
This is a hit and miss style of engine, those misfires are completely natural.
@@marshallsullivan5274 it is not a hit or miss engine, there is no centrifugal mechanism to cause the hit or miss.
Very nice.
I really want this

Ron
You did not mention where you live.
