He's 100's % going to be on the pod.
I need this. We need this
while the rest of the ringers cast of characters watch in amazement. As CR watches bill interview chalamet . can’t wait.
His literal next movie is a sports movie and with a Safdie brother. Very Ringer coded!
“Literal next movie”
What is the figurative next movie he is in?
@@greggoat6570I admire this grammatical challenge
It's ping pong.
Could be his next film he’s actually filming, or it could be his next film that’s going to be released.
@@greggoat6570 Dune 3
He’s the Lisan Al-Galib. Of course he’s going to blow up.
Brody was 29 when he won his Oscar, making him the youngest to win Best Actor. If TC wins he’ll also be 29, but he’d become the youngest since he turns 29 on 12/27.
I don’t like to see repeat Oscar winners, so not rooting for Brody. Fiennes deserves it for body of work, but Chalamet should have won for CMBYN, so I’d love to see him win for playing Dylan.
Short answer: yes.
The "next generation leading man superstar title" was up for grabs and timmy took it with dune 2 this year.
Can't wait for Marty Supreme!
I love it when Bill goes out of his way to take shots at Emiid whenever Chris is on the pod.
Yes he has it all. Charisma intelligence looks and acting skills
Did Bill not see Wonka? Tim killed it in that. He's got the musical talent
Also, he played in Sweet Charity during school years and sang onstage:)))))
his kids are a little older. my 7 and 10 year old drag me twice to the theater and it was running non-stop for a stretch when it showed up on streaming
This never gets uploaded unless the Ringer and Chalamet teams have already negotiated and this must mean Timmy has some NUCLEAR hot takes locked and loaded ready for the pod. He seems like a real one I'm looking forward to it
Yeah Tim was just on Theo Vonn’s podcast, he’s making rounds. I know he likes sports too, so this is perfect for him.
them having no idea hes playing a mob cross over sports movie directed by a safdie is hilarious and perfect
Him being in it and it only being by one of the brothers both makes it something I never need to see. Teem oh-Tay dicking around with half of a good team? Who could possibly fucking care.
@@greggoat6570 the context is they were discussing what they would like him to do, and hes basically doing exactly what they're joking about. Not sure about the negativity in your comment, we'll see how good he solo directs but could be great.
@@greggoat6570 Okay
We need Chalamet's takes on how we bring the world of pro golf back together. Come on Tim, come on the pod!
He is already a superstar.
Biggest star in the game rn. Going to be a main stay for a long fucking time
I haven't seen the Dylan movie yet, but it's hard to imagine Adrian Brody not winning the Oscar for his performance in The Brutalist.
here's what im hoping he'll do after winning best actor.
(he'll obvi be in dune messiah, so he'll work with villeneuve for a 3rd time)
-greta gerwigs next movie, hopefully with saoirse ronan too
-a thriller directed by fincher
-heat 2 as whoever, opposite austin butler
-something horror with jordan peele or robert eggers
-reunite with nolan after interstellar
-and ofc return to luca for something super gay.
Timothée has already acted in a horror movie. He played a cannibal in Bones and All.
@@macys421297 Not really a horror movie
There's clips of Chalamet acting when he's like 13 years old.... He was fantastic then. He's got a ton of talent
I'm here for the intro/outro
. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🏆💯
Oui - oui
Timothee Chalamet should play Luigi Mangione
Chalamet as Johnny Manziel in Johnny Football.🏈
He has the talent, but things have changed even compared to like 15 years ago. It's less about the actors and more about the brand. Actors just don't sell tickets like they did in the past. Back in the 90's for example, Bruce Willis, Denzel Washington, Tom Cruise, Jim Carrey, Mel Gibson and others made original movies hits just because they were in them. Chris Evans movies pretty much all bomb unless he's playing Captain America and that isn't his fault because even Tom Cruise has had several movies in recent years that have bombed outside of Top Gun 2 and most of the Mission Impossible movies. The last Mission movie mostly underperformed because it came out at the wrong time with Oppenheimer and Barbie.
wasn't his immediate prior movie "wonka" a musical in which he sings like 10 songs?
Heat 2 - Young Vincent Hanna. Get Timmy to bulk up a little bit, dirty his face up, I think hes got it in him. Timmy can definitely go over the top acting like he did in Dune 2 and honestly (think about it) Wonka. He was so fucking goofy in that one, I believe he can generate the on screen energy that a dirty cop role needs.
Tim really started to shine in my opinion on "call me by my name"
He is America’s last superstar and it’s about over for him - how much did Kilmer have after The Doors, or Jamie Foxx after Ray?
Holy shit, I've seen basically all of timmy's stuff and the big picture podcast earlier today. I'm cackling at thinking timmy's just concocting the best moment to join the pod :D
He's done stuff aimed more at women w/ Little Women, weird stuff w/ Bones and All, stuff aimed more at men in Dune, and has made what you would expect to be mass-produced Hollywood trash w/ Wonka, a passable film. He keeps being great in everything.
If he isn't a super-duper-star still in 10 years, I would legit be shocked at this point.
Didn’t see the musical side of Chamalet? Wonka was a massive hit last year LOL
No hate towards Tim but I’d 💯 take Brody in the Brutalist
Emma Stone already had an Oscar but that didn't stop her from winning for Poor Things.
Agreed, I love Timmy and hope he wins many Oscar’s later in his career. But Brody is fucking undeniable. This is a DDL in TWBB type of momentous work.
"Fast 8 is when the wheels came off" 😆😆
Chalamet is a good actor, but idk if he’ll ever be gigantic star like Cruise, Stallone etc
I doubt his performance is greater than Brody's in the brutalist but i havent seen the film yet so ill wait and see on that
Have you seen it yet? Chalamet was fantastic
Safdie sports movie incoming
Next big star? Dudes already a huge A list young star.
I still think Brody is going to win but we'll see.
I love Chalamet so much and I love that he has a couple movies per year. Hopefully he doesn’t slow down, but he has been a holiday season guarantee since 2021?
I need Chalamet on million dollar picks bonus if drunk House is on there
A heist movie for him with like say Austin Butler or Glen Powell would actually be perfect for his career right now
How about Chalamet as Greg Maddux? A guy who doesn't look like much of an athlete but who is actually a pitching genius.
* dunes soundtrack woman yell *
This should have been a wide release straight away I have to wait three weeks.
The real question is what in gods name is going on with Bill’s coffee cup here?
You can wear as much Thunder gear as you want CR but we all saw the pain in your face when Bill mentioned Embiid
Third movie for Timmy ... Slap Shot Remake ... Paul Newman role
Timothee Chalamet as Pat Riley
Timothee has somehow had a better campaign for A Complete Unknown than Kamala did for her presidency
OOF!
low bar tbh
I haven't watched it yet but I do think he'll get the Oscar it would be him or Jesse Eisenberg but I do see the Oscars probably wanting to get younger viewership to the ceremony to make it relevant again they are also wanting to usher in this new era of younger stars to the Academy this is also why I think Ariana Grande will win best supporting actress I could be wrong but I see that happening
@@Model_Roe Grande has no chance and won't even get an Academy award nomination.
@@Model_RoeEiseneberg isn’t in the conversation- would be very lucky to get a nomination
there is no superstar anymore
IP are the real star and the one who is getting pushed will be the one u will see the most.
I find chalamet really talented but just cant see him as a leading man portraying different characters just too dorky and boyish.
now plz dont give leo example to me, leo looked like his age at 2000s while chalamet looks like 16 old with a harmonal problem at 29.
Him and Austin butler
Bill had to drop a FanDuel plug. "Keep getting them checks!" - Jalen Rose
I think he would join for Marty Supreme promo 😂
he needs to address the allegations that he would be put in the hospital from the oklahoma drill
Naw, Ralph Fiennes should win. He was brilliant!
I love Timothee. And he’s amazing in this. But it’s not as amazing as Austin Butler BEING Elvis for three decades of his life. Elvis INHABITS Austin!! He most certainly deserved the Oscar, and didn’t get it. If Timothee does it’s going to make me even madder at the Hollywood Machine!
There will never be another TOM CRUISE
Look at Ben, overvaluing Timmy's performance simply because he gave him a shout out. Timmy did a solid impression but he couldn't shake his modern energy or his I Phone face. Blanchett and even Ledger captured Dylan's essence far more. He will probably sneak in just because they need this specific type of Oscar bait but it would insane if he won over Brody, Fiennes or Domingo.
I agree, I hear his voice in every singing clip and his voice was not as prominent in the few talking clips. I did not hear JOACQUN PHOENIX in his role as JOHNNY CASH in WALK THE LINE.
DANIEL CRAIG is Awesome as LEE in QUEER, RALPH FIENNES is Magnetic in CONCLAVE. THE BRUTALIST and SING SING have yet to be released for Northern Ireland yet.
CHALAMET Will get another worthy role after A COMPLETE UNKNOWN and the OSCAR will go to am older Actor for the EXCELLENCE of their Whole Performances. Chalamet does not disappear into Dylan in the clips I have seen and CRAIG, FIENNES, BRODY and DOMINGO pip him at the Post this Year. x!
I don’t like body of work Oscar wins for older actors. It’s supposed to be for the performance the nomination is for.
It's so sad to see someone else promoting the movie instead of the real protagonist. The almost perfect THC lookalike 😊
So basically if you like the artist you’ll like the movie for the most part
He should do a war movie!
Easy, man. Bob Dylan has to think about his entire LIFE before he plays.
There are no Actual Movie Stars Rising , outside of Tom Cruise , Leonardo , Keanu , Sandra Bullock from the Past that can still get people based on their name alone , regardless of the Premise, and this is Stretching it. But these new upcoming actors CANNOT OPEN A MOVIE BASED ON SOLELY NAME RECOGNITION. THE ONLY PEOPLE LIKE CHALAMET & others have been in successful movies is because of the type of movie , if it was a sequel or genre film. Np offense , nobody is saying " I cant wait to see that Chalamet , Zendaya film." Hollywood is on it's last legs and they did it to themselves with making awful content and preaching n putting down their audience . Good for them. There is over 100 years of Incredible Past Cinema to explore and discover for the new generations. Unlike this Sh*t on top of Sh*t they turn out now, outside of a few sporadic good films.
Au contraire, there is no hair on Timothée’s chest.
I’m sorry I just don’t get the hype for this guy. I just remember seeing the first dune which was a snooze fest and “the king” on Netflix. He did not impress me at all man. I watched outlaw king which is much better than dune but compared to a similar “outlaw king” that started Chris pine it was still not great.
I just don’t see anything that makes him similar what a Pacino or Pitt is. The guy is just too childlike bro and he just screams so marketed for teenage girls lol.
I think he is obviously talented man, but just seems like the next Gosling or even DiCaprio who I feel have benefited from their looks and marketing even if there are countless actors better than them.
He ain't even close to Gosling or Dicaprio.
I know I probably was being generous lol. DiCaprio actually has some great performances like in blood diamond to be fair, but outside that he is mostly mid.
I never really liked gosling. He has a cringe voice and presence and all the over the too praise is because of girls creaming from his looks.
He was good in that film drive but many other films he is just not that impressive to me.
Check out his pod with Theo von. I bet your opinion changes. He’s a super down to earth bro
The guy has had the juice since Hot Summer Nights? Became a star with cmbyn, secured his acting skills with Beautiful Boy. This is such an American Bob Dylan obsessed idea that he now only possesses what it takes lol Dune is probably his worst cast part to date - idk, these are mediocre films in comparison to what he has done in the past🧃
Playing a real person? He'll get the Oscar. The Oscars lovvvve when you pretend to be someone they have heard of
Another reason why it is worthless
My money is on Daniel Craig because he's playing a fruitcake.
Remember when Bill said “Home Alone” isn’t a Christmas movie?
CR reduced Bob to an English student…right.
HelllNo, Austin bulter >
You’re only 5 years late to this subject
Too much of an Oscar bait role imo
Guy is an average actor, but hey he "likes" sports so let's glaze him.
I don't love the music so I'm skipping this movie hard.
No. He likes like a child pretending to be an adult in every movie.
timothée winning would be cool but i would take colman domingo in sing sing
IS it not raLph
No actor is a super star anymore. The IP carries the actors. No actor is “ box office “
Disagree Glen Powell is I'd say Austin Butler is getting there and Timothee Chalamet
Margot Robbie barbie
@@brysonlozano7 Barbie is one of the most iconic brands ever.
@@Model_Roe no one is going out of their way to see a movie just because GLENN FUCKING POWELL is in it. Gimme a break lol
Exactly, actors for the most part don't sell movies anymore.
I don’t think the college gameday thing was real. He’s reading notes and definitely memorized some things. But I do believe he is a die hard Knicks fan.
Timmy IS
Yawn
No
Extremely overrated actor. You can see him doing the work. But that’s my opinion. People seem to like him. I don’t get it.
Who needs middle-aged men talking about Hollywood actors in their late 20s? Who? I refuse to believe there is an actual audience for that. Bill is coming across as pretty pathetic these days, an old man trying to be 'cool'. I guess his need for attention and wealth blinds him to his own mediocrity. Good luck to him. I'm almost done now though.
Lmfao what in the world is this comment? So if they were 35-years-old they’d be better qualified to speak on the topic? You’re in the comments on his post criticizing his audience. It’s you, you’re here, you’re the audience, and so are plenty of other people since The Ringer is huge. Go touch some grass
This isn't an airport. You don't need to announce you're leaving 😂😂
What is up your a## not counting your bf.
One of the most overrated actors, potentially of all time. I don’t want to dip into hyperbole, but I REALLY did not cast the first stone when it comes to that with him.
Timothee is here to stay lol 😂 deal with it he ain't going nowhere
@@Model_Roe I would be careful with that, Hollywood moves on pretty fast, and most actors never have the staying power of a Cruise or Pitt.
@EddieHenderson92 I think Timmy will be just fine Leo Brad Keanu Johnny Depp Matt Damon list goes on are all getting old lol respectfully Hollywood is desperate for a new generation of actors to fill that leading men role to make Hollywood relevant and keep young girls going to the movies Timmy whether you like it or not is being heavily pushed by Hollywood as the next big thing as he's young conventionally attractive thin is charismatic likeable and women like him same thing with Austin Butler and Jacob Elordi like they already have a large following so he will be that guy
@@Model_Roe Actors don't matter or sell movies like they did in the past. It's all about the IP and overall brand. Matt Damon, Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, Bruce Willis and others actually made original movies big hits. Timmy hasn't done that.
@EddieHenderson92 true but they still need to usher in a younger generation that will appeal to Gen z or Gen alpha is my point people still go to the movies and they need a name that's lucrative enough to bring in audiences
