- Dip bars are the most versatile calisthenics home workout equipment. I use them for calisthenics skill training, stretching & muscle building all at home :)
I usually refer to these bars as "p-bars" or parallette bars.
Today we cover beginner to advanced dip bar exercises & skills.

I like that you're not afraid of demonstrating things you haven't completely mastered - very relatable! But what you _can_ do really well is pretty mind-blowing also.
I love my dip bars, I can do so many workouts on them. Since I got them a few months ago I’ve noticed sus h a difference in my pushing strength and my chest is more jacked!
Love to hear that!!! 👏
I just bought a pair. I'm already loving them.
I gotta give it to you. I’ve been watching your videos for a while now, and it’s really cool to see your improvement. Great work keep it up.
• 5 minute warmup + some mobility exercise (scap shrugs 2:15, scap pulls 2:21)
• 15 minutes of skill training: commit yourself to one skill and practice that (shoulder stand 2:37, croc 2:58, pull overs 3:31)
• pick 3 to 4 exercises and do 12 to 15 reps for three to four sets
( - strength: extended rom push up/core 3:59, row 4:33, modified dip 5:05,
- core: l-sit 7:13, v-sit 7:16, elbow l-sit 7:22, core compression drill 7:31)
• finish with some core, a cool down, some mobility and some stretching (hip mobility drill 7:46, hip mobility 8:00, shoulder/upper back 8:30)
Bro did a better job of explaining than the woman in the video
I would add: don't twerk or push you ass out until scoliosis
I need to invest in some dip bars after watching this
You're just AWESOME!! Your vibe and your content is amazing! Thank you!

Nice work. I think you add a huge layer to the calisthenics community on TH-cam
An awesome training!
I don't think anyones ever done this, but could you do an entire 5 or 3 days workout routines on Parallel Bars only? That would be insane because I've never come across one! :) PB are awesome!
tons of good tips
Me: I'll save my money
Summer: Nope, not today. Get these bars! Now!
And very great inspiration! Thank you :)
Hehehe. I feel this! Thank you for your support :)
Love the video! I have a set of smaller bars that come just below my knee cap when I stand beside them. Could you please make a video on how to use those please. I am a beginner at calisthenics and want to use what I have before buying more things.
Love these. Can you make a follow along p-bar workout 🤲🏾
For what level?
@@Summerfunfitness beginner 🤲🏾. Someone trying to get their first set of dips and pull ups
@@Summerfunfitness For beginner would be great!
Amazing, thanks for sharing. Any size guide on the bar? I am 170cm tall.
Great Video, I have a pair of dip bars myself, you have given me some new moves to try, thanks.
I have been doing Calisthenics for under a year now, to be honest not much progress has been made (have been working out three days a week, each time for an hour and a half of exercises, push-ups, pull-ups, leg raises on dip bars, and so on, I do eat alot of sugar (sweets, chocolate), do you think this is why my progress is bad, feel like I am just burning off the sugar intake between exercises days?
I also have a hip issue (if I try leg raises my left hip clicks when legs go down), a left side scapula winging problem that puts my body out of sink on pull-ups, and push-ups, and a right knee that clicks on squats, then feels weak after, any advice?
Thank you for your time, you have a very nice body, which shows how much of a hardworker you are.
Sincerely Guy.
Thank you
i’ve been postponing getting a set of these.. and this is a nice video to get me to spending the money…..pfffff. :P
that aside…. thanks for this. good vídeo with a pretty reasonable plethora of movements to practice..and try to get under my belt.
cheers from portugal
Amazing.
you're very good !
Highly impressive
Complimenti!bravissima e fisico spettacolare
Oohhh, now I know why I love you. I am 5ft2 (or 3) and I like to move really slow.
alright, had some sitting around forever. time to make use of them 😂
I needed to see this to remind myself that upper body day doesn't have to be just (Australian) pullups and pushups/dips.
Glad it helped refresh exercise options for you!
Lux!
Apparently there is a great deal of use for these.
I noticed the feet up trainer in the background. I am comfortable enough with inversions using that and thought it may carry over to the dip bars. NOPE. Maybe the bars are too high? Any pointers you could be provide would be most appreciated.
5:50 I'm sure those are called Korean dips or something... I remember it because Chris heria demonstrated it
Let’s goo! 😊
I was hoping you'd kick up into a handstand on those. Or L-sit to handstand.
Sarah Silverman! 😂
In all seriousness, good video!
I fight with my cats for these. ❤ They love playing on them and so do I even before seeing this video.
Omg you're tiny!! 🥰 (tiny but mighty!!)I have that exact set of paralette bars! (except in blue.... does the colour matter? 🤔)
Any advice on what dip bars to get?
I really like the ones I demo in this video: lebertfitness.com/en-ca/products/lebert-equalizer discount code SUMMER
@@Summerfunfitness cheers! I got a some off facebook market place but they are so narrow it is frustrating as I can't do any pull ups like you showed in the video. Now will have to het something else.
Bodyweight training is the best !

I'm not saying you're kind of advanced, but that one armed "croc"? Seriously?
That was great. I just purchased my first set of dip bars and can't find a lot on beginner stuff.
Yay! Love that you enjoyed this.
Here are two beginner videos I did with Lebert that you may like :)
