I was really confused were to start. Thanks for the assist. 😆 You deserve more thumbs up.😋
respect for keeping the part where you rip your pants, a lot of youtubers would just cut it out but we're all just human
You know what's insane ? I just finished writing my new year's resolutions. I never do that usually, but I figured I'd give it a try. One of them was : "learn how to do middle splits" and here goes my favorite stretchy guy with the solution for my problem ! Thank you so much !
Girl there was one short where he was dressed as spiderman, I was not prepared for that, he looked too good it was so fitting!
I love it! We should make a group, I would love to achieve this in 2025 too.
Happy new year!!
I literally did the same, and even bet money on itxD
I’m more impressed he’s doing in this in jeans, brave soul 😂
Right! Lol!
But to be fair, the way they tighten as one bends actually restricts how fast you can get into those positions so may be helpful for preventing certain types of shock load injuries to the groin 🤣
They don't even look like the modern stretchy jeans.
he should try to get a denim sponsor with how stretchy these jeans have to be lmfao
Its his second skin
I mean, he did end up splitting a pair halfway through the video
It's crazy that he ripped his pants there, but for anyone who wants to find the end program, it was:
1. Hamstring Stretch 30s
2. Butterfly Stretch 30s
3. Pancake Stretch 30s
4. Pigeon Stretch 30s
5. Middle Splits 30s
Do that 4 days a week for a total of 6 minutes of stretching for each relevant muscle
bro ripped his pants lol
Ripped mine jus watching
I noticed that too. 😅
#rippedclub
You just saved me like a year of pain. I'm a martial artist, and I've been working on my middle splits for about a year now, in which I made maybe 10cm of progress. This video just got me 10cm extra in under 10 minutes. I am amazed.
can’t believe he ripped his pants but also, i’m trying to get more organized with my planner this year and idk why but seeing those routines illustrated in a weekly planner type thing really helped
I laughed so hard in that part 😂
Took me a while, but I found it. 😄
OMG the look on your face when ur pants ripped... hilarious! Happy new year and happy new pants!
can't believe it happened twice
Leaving the clip of your pants ripping in your video about how to do the splits is such a choice, can't help but respect it
These tips are amazing! I’ve always felt “stuck” with middle splits, even though I’m pretty flexible in other areas (like front splits and pigeon). I had mentally surrendered to the idea that it was impossible for me due to my bone structure and stopped trying. But now, I’m definitely going to give these tips a shot in 2025! Thanks for the inspiration!
Also, volume warning!! Ripping jeans sounds incoming
i need this type of confidence, continuing to perform splits with ripped jeans bro you are one mad lad
I've dealt with a herniated disc for over 10 uears now. Recently tweaked it again somehow and i was out again for about a month. In the past the excruciating pain lasted longer and i lose weight because I can't get up to eat... But this time, after finding your channel a while back, I am now beginning to love stretching and it's helping with my pain!
While sitting on a chair with my back straight, I could barely move my leg up in front me. Now i can lift it a decent amount, but far from even holding an L hold. I'll get there soon though, I know it!
My guy has 4 million subs and edits his own videos
And that’s why they look like a 3rd grader made them 😂
Last tip should be "use stretchable pants" or else that might happen LOL
Love these longer videos
More to come!
Your phone hanging on for dear life in the jeans back pocket 😭
This helps so much though
somebody get this man some new jeans
That ripped jeans sound tickled my brain
Wow. I love that you went into the rationale behind sets/duration because it’s helping me set up a basic program. I’m coming from a bodybuilding background and seeing the similarities between bodybuilding and flexibility training!
happy new year man! looking forward to your content this year to get my splits!
i am naturally duck footed and i didn’t realize external rotation was needed for the middle split thank you 😊😂
I love what your doing helping people who have no idea what they are doing!!!! I wish I saw your videos a couple years ago. Also nice rip in the pants 👌👌
I am no where close to this, but I am getting your e books now and starting strong.
Finally, someone who says to practice the exact technique I want to be able to do
informative and inspiring as always! Happy New Year! and what a way to start it off with a pants rip!
please do one for the front split david!!! love yaa
Just finished my first week full body flexibility routine and it’s great! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Can't believe he wore jeans for this. And then he ripped them as well! Wow.
You need to try an all time classic in ballet and rhythmic gymnastics that the MBA students call "The Irena Stretch"😅. It' s a straightened legs external rotation (aka _en dehors_ in ballet), Just sit on the floor and proceed to stretch your harms, belly touches knees buuuuut, hands grab the insteps with forearms twisted, devilishly twisted🙃🥴😵💫. You already rotate 90° degrees without raising a brow, you can do it✨.
Happy 2025 to all the family🖤
Please do a similar video for front splits. Appreciate it!
Hey David, happy new year and hope you are doing well and so is your family. Awesome video very informative and eye opening. Can't wait for the ankle flexibility video as I am one of those aforementioned martial artists.
Anyway, I have a very important question. What time is the best time to stretch? I'm considering doing it first thing in the morning but I'm worried about stretching when I'm 'cold' like that first thing in the morning.
Do you have a stretch warm up or something? Is it a bad idea to stretch so early?
Let me know your recommendations/thoughts?
All the best, really happy to see your channel progresses and grow. If possible you should definitely collaborate with Jujimufu again, it's interesting watching you two work together. It might not be your thing but it'll be interesting to see you lift weights with him or try tricking or anything.
Fellow martial artist here, also waiting for that vid to drop
And that's why I don't stretch in jeans.
It was only a matter of time before you ripped your pants. 😂😂
But this is just amazing. I have to get this into my workout regime. I've been doing the splits alone and got into a plateau. This can help me progress this year. Thank you.
Excellent video. Always entertaining and straight to the point.
My New Year's Resolution is to the splits so this helps! Thanks man.
1:08 And here I am still trying to touch my toes with straight legs
We have to start somewhere, and every journey starts with the first step.
Keep up the good work!
Perfect upload for early January!
Amazing, thank you
I've been trying to get my middle split for a while
But i only do stretch no 1, 2, and 5. I think i need to add no 3 and 4
And i do agree with 30s rules, that's my personal experience too
Your videos make me happy, and I've the chance to learn precious theory and practice that's my university didn't teach me at the right time. You stay flexible without flexi jeans. You are the flex God!!
Wow, that’s dedication, even ripped his pants for the illustration of the stretch🔥👍👍
Glad you changed into fresh trousers for the last bit of the video. I felt a bit uncomfortable when you just continued talking like nothing happened. Props for not cutting that part, I guess
Dude, I love your videos! They help me a lot! thanks
Please, bro, make a video for hip internal rotation, I need to learn how to stretch, and i've been struggling in it.
Thank you again.
And happy new year
thank you for this video! I feel like I'm making progress at a snail's pace with my middle split right now; I'm definitely using your routine for now on
(also, condolences for your ripped pants)
It's also not really your external rotators that limit your external rotation, because the movement in the split is rather passive and doesn't come close to causing mucle failure, but your internal ones. Otherwise you would need to stretch your quads and abductors instead of hamstrings and adductors.
wow real information about a movement, what a rare event.
my goal by the end of the year is to be able to do a split, so we will see!
My god, i watched it 3 times, you got me good 😂
Those ripped pants 😂😮 Oh yeah! I am going to start implementing these 30-second stretches today, and I'll surely entertain my little girls watching me at the same time 😅😝
This is such a wonderful, and informative video. Thank you so much for helping and explaining so well
Loving your content!
THAT is a BOLD claim my friend, we shall see about that
that music at the end made me feel something crazy
THIS IS MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION. I'm bad with flexibility, bad with consistency, and the thing is I probably have hours a week to do it when it only takes minutes.
hey could you also do an video for the front splitss🤞
Not you keeping the rippling of your pants in the video 😅 how do you rip jeans!?😂 However! Very informative and helpful video. 🧐
Dude went down so fast that his pants didn't have time to move out of the way 🤣🤣
Inspiring video! I will try your program starting tomorrow!
Stretching 1. Jeans 0.
For people who want to do this as a new years resolution. comment below and you will be held accountable for your efforts. I will hopefully remember to check up on this comment a mouth later and I better see myself and others improving their flexibility.
What a good video, thank you for this ❤
I think you can sew up pants with that kinda rip!
Dude, I’ve been doing middle splits related stretches for 62 days now and I just realized I haven’t been doing the pigeon family at all.
"Oh no...i ripped my pants"
Can you please make a video like this on mobility (Lower and Upper body) and front splits. Because there are like 1000 videos out there don't know which one to follow.
Happy new year ✨
after all this time watching you, only now do I realise that small black box thing is a mic
Haha!!! That’s so funny! Yeah it’s my favorite mic
So cool, very well made video
Excellent middle split progression plus proving ripped jeans are in for 2025 😂 way to go badass!
how should you warmup before you stretch?
Do one for anterior pelvic tilt
jean splits are insane
I've been doing the external rotation while sitting by reflex my whole life and didn't even know it 😳 Decided to try the other angle and discovered I have kinda alright hip bone angles. Maybe a split wouldn't be that hard to build up to...
more videos like this please that is awesome
you forgot to talk about having the strength to even get in the middle splits
Not me having my New Year’s resolution be to finally get my middle splits- and this video pops up 😂
Really stinks that you ripped your pants though, that was a seriously nasty tear :/
this should be a serie
Thank you for posting this, I'm gunna do it!
I've been semi working towards this but gonna do this routine and make it my new years resolution - thanks for the video!
Can you please, please, please do one for shoulders 🙏 I've been hanging by threading my legs through my arms; broomstick stretches from infront to over my head, then behind my back and standing flat against a wall with arms at 90 degress and sliding arms up. But my eight scapula is really crunchy and my shoulders are pointy where the bones stick out
I love how quickly he changed his ripped jeans 😂
Woah! I bet that's not the first pair of pants you've split doing those insane stretches! This may be the year of a stretchy pants sponsor! Happy 2025 from New Zealand Aotearoa 🎉
I do have one oddly specific challenge where I've noticed a gap between the strength of my legs to hold a middle split and how far my legs can actually flex. To put it simply, I can't hold my lowest split without supporting myself with my hands on a chair or the floor, and I have no idea how to come out of that stretch without falling forward which kinda hurts :v
Great guidance ❤❤.
Thank you so much sir 🙏🏿
You ripped your pants, dude! I'm gonna do this exercises. Thanks!
The bit where his pants split made me giggle!
soooo.... how many people want to train middle splits for this year?
Perfect timing xD
But you do pigeons on both sides right?
Yes!
Hey guy, I have a video idea -- make a normal person do this and show how long it takes if they follow your routine. That will motivate a lot of people including me to see that it's actually possible to do
Brilliant. But you had to know jeans were going to rip.
Brave of you to still publish the video when you had a wardrobe malfunction.
Great video, 1 question. Do you recommend warming up somehow before stretching? or can you just hit the 30 second stretches anytime?
I'm a little confused 😅
If I have to stretch with an intensity that causes soreness, should I still stretch 5 times a week for 2 sets of 30 seconds?
How did you know exactly what my New Year's resolution was going to be, we say in unison.
Somebody send this to Shayne Topp
bro made the perfect jeans design for eating taco bell
Awesome video ❤️ just had a questions for the membership and program option on your website. I’m thinking of buying the whole bundle just wanted to know if that gives me access to all the other things mentioned below for the app ? Like yoga and calisthenics and minimalist etc 🙏
Tips how not to rip pants are hilarious :D
“For most people who aren’t martial artists…” yeah but what if I am?? That’s like my whole thing bro 😂
And don’t worry, the whole ripping the jeans thing happens to the best of us. I’ve witnessed quite a few of my martial artist buddies rip their pants and most of them were black belts. We have a certain set of skills, and keeping pants in tact is not one of them. Yes, I’ve ripped mine too lol
What were u trying talking about martial arts i am doing for that so there is any diff
Some martial artists get mad when I the feet aren’t on the ground but it does not matter it is only an aesthetic difference
I am waiting for these
Anytime I stretch my legs I'm sore for 2 weeks even if I attempt to do a light stretch in the same week. Then from just walking it takes away my stretch progress. Example, I just did a squat split yesterday where I just squat down and push my knees out with my elbows and hold it. My entire left leg has been killing me all night and day. The thing is, the stretch barely hurt so at the time it didn't even seem like much.
I would increase my potassium and magnesium and find a good arnica rub for the painful muscles. A massage gun might help. Epsom salt bath feels nice.
Excellent video, thank you.
Thank you 🩰
