I use MQTT regularly for home automation, and I love the "forgiveness" it gives with sometimes sketchy network connectivity, as well as the great way manufacturers are using it in a "sleep till I need to fire a simple update" technique that conserves battery life in remote devices that may not have mains power available.

How does one ensure against broker failure? It is a spof, right?
Clustering.
Pls explain about how the subscriber know if the publisher is loss connection.
It publishes a death certificate. The connection is stateful (It knows if it's good or not)

The subscription response comes back through the connection established by the client through the outbound connection to the broker.
