Meditation has really helped me to live more in the moment and try to enjoy the little moments like just taking a walk and looking around, taking a deep breath and actually taking in your surroundings, it’s such a beautiful feeling and it really reminds you how amazing it is to be alive. I was a preschool teacher/nanny for 7 years. The most profound observation you'll find is that when children are no longer enjoying who they are playing with or what they are doing, they walk away and find someone or something else to enjoy. It's sad that at some point we stop and do "what we are supposed to". It's been such a process getting back in touch with my true naturual urge and following it. Thank you for showing others the way

Most of the time you just have to accept that life happens. It is pointless to ask question like Why is this happening to me? You will go crazy but never find a satisfying answer. Just accept and move on.

Love it, totally agree. One other thing I've explored recently is our perception of time and how it feels like we are on an exponential curve as we age. I think it's similar where the less information we are taking in the faster things move. Tasks become repetitive and move into our subconscious and we lose that constant feeling of discovery. I think this method you outline is great for getting back in that discovery zone to make you recognize subtleties you were missing before which should then in then in theory rebalance your perception of time and give you more time to not only stop and smell the roses, but also appreciate the roses.

Very refreshing video, given the whole hustle culture we're all caught up in nowadays. Reminds me of the movie "Soul" that recently came out (a movie for kids that is surprisingly deep) - in the end, the main character figures out that it's not about achieving that big goal he had, or even about his dream career that he had been working non-stop towards. Our tastes and goals can and will probably change, but the joy of stopping to appreciate nature, being kind to others and taking time to ourselves will never fade away. Time flies and our time here is limited, so might as well stop once in a well to appreciate it all.
As a great legend once said, "Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans" :)

There is no "guide to life". There is no "how to". There is no "tutorial". Life is a journey in itself.

If we're more mindful of the smallest things (like you said-you're pulse), then we will have better memories and be more optimistic in general.

The way you explain this is relatable & eloquent. I had been staring at trees or hedges walking home, when my "foot pulse" moment came :) Meaning, apparently, is a forced comparison that society pits against our individual existence.
Most everyone Enjoys.. no matter their usefulness.. & everything exists regardless. I think 'meaning' is a polite way of implying utility instead of fulfillment.
By returning to that innate knowing, life makes sense again.

The good-hearted one , the self-sacrificing one , the jolly one , the sad one , the sick one , the bad one , the rich one , the poor one , the wise one , the smart one , the stupid one. All go to the Graveyard and their memories as well. Ecclesiastics 9:5. For who can praise you from Sheol, Psalms 6:5. And all the people who have died before you guess what they're still dead. So if there ain't no life after this and there is no meaning that's clearly understood from our standpoint then life would be pointless. For everything that you work for and everything that you achieve returns to the dust so does your work for everything is vanity. Ecclesiastics 1:14, Only if you could live forever in happiness is the only thing that makes life have any real meaning. Everything else is mental torture.

One thing I understand after this video:
    Ignorance is bliss!
But the problem is, the mind doesn't allow us to ignore things.

Yes, i know and use this, works wonders. You havent lived until you start grinning like a mad man, just because you realized that sun is up and shining, just like it has the past 4.5 billion years. Powerful stuff.
You practically become a superman, as long as the sun shines, you will never stop being super.
