I love that this time he is not in for immediate success but rather a project! I don't care if Roma doesn't win this season I want Roma to be one of the names to be feared
He mentioned projects at chelsea 2nd time round and at tottenham bith were projects, and ultimately he done poorly, steady decline of jose is sad
When you go from winning title aftwr title and in total control of clubs amd media to this it is a decline. He done well intially at man u and chelsea but look at the garbage that proceeded, not only did he not maintain that level his Chelsea team capitulated and he DID lose the dressing room, Man U i do agree credit due bit again bought poor defenders and went backwards then lost plot with media time after time, then at Spurs the team played so poorly at times and it wasnt bad defenders only ot was bad tactics inviting pressure, god of football to also ran

I'm a Chelsea FC fan and I'm absolutely delighted for Jose Mourinho 🙂 👍 he deserves to be happy and do well in his new job at Roma which I think has great potential under Mourinho and the desire and ambition of the club. I really like your comment because is so true and people really forget that. Guardiola always coach clubs that were winning before his arrival, clubs that were dominating their leagues anyway, Barcelona, Bayern and Man City, clubs with a huge financial budgets unlike José's FC Porto, Inter and Tottenham. Real Madrid, Chelsea (first spell) and Man United wasn't winning for years before José's arrival. Tottenham think they are a big club and they are financially but with no winning mentality starting from the board and you can see that on the players. I honestly can not see Guardiola winning a Champions league with FC Porto and Inter like José once did. Guardiola couldn't do it with Bayern when they won it just before he was hired and also with Man City. Guardiola is a great manager but he's not a Messiah like many frase.

Hope he does well at Roma (Chelsea fan). Been a roller coaster of emotions via Mourinho down the years, but at the end of the day if he's happy I'm happy, and I do think a happy Mourinho is an asset to football. I do like the fact he's gone back to Italy, it always felt like his true natural habitat to me - as a coach, the PL suited his celebrity status.

Mourinho was doing a good job at Tottenham, it takes time and he had half a good team formed, he needed two transfer maybe three to perfect it. Roma have to give him at least two years to see the real improvement. I hope and have every faith he will succeed.
He didnt do well at all, apart from the cup run which wasnt really impressive. The spurs team were poor, they sat back and invited far too much pressure which led to poor results

@@stevengallagher635 we did, i personally think it was out of necessity, our defence is slow and untrustworthy, he was trying to give us a solid base, we lost ground with the 3 defeats when Kane was out and the lack of signings hampered jose's plans. He needed more time, but we ripped it up and now have another new manager......still, matt doherty will be pleased!

As a Spurs fan, I never thought Mourinho's defensive football would work for us, but about a year on when we appointed him, God I looked wrong. Top of the League by surprise, but then it all collapsed when 2021 began, as we went on an appawling run of games, including out embarrassing Europa League exit, and he eventually had to be sacked 6 days before the Cup Final. Afterall, I do think he is a good appointment for Roma and I do wish him the best of luck in Rome. This would have been hilarious if we got Fonseca🤣!
