    For those who only want to hear Dagoth Ur recite the first sermon of the 36 Lessons of Vivec, it starts at 2:04. I would appreciate it if you listened to the entire video.

      This is great! Not only does Dagoth's reading voice sound different enough from his regular speech to easily know what he's talking about and when, but his interpretation and application of it made this so interesting to listen to! Please do more

    • @93hothead
      @93hothead ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The tone and inflection if you don't know are edited after the ai made the voice. It's not entirely AI. If you think AI did all this you are one of the folks thinking AI will take over people.

    • @Why_Blue
      @Why_Blue ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@93hothead Any editing done is mostly done through editing the text not the voice itself. There are other videos showing the same voice using different prompts. This isn't going to kill voice acting, it might make some work easier but ai won't be as easy to work with on a production as an actual person.

  • @GeorgieBonsoir
    @GeorgieBonsoir ปีที่แล้ว +49

    The intricacies and inflections in his voice make this an actual enticing, listenable speech. I just sat through almost 7 minutes of an AI generated voice reading a fictional sermon from a fictional religion, and I didn't even think about being bored the whole way through.
    The technology of this AI has become so good, that I was actually attributing the great storytelling ability to Dagoth Ur himself; the sounds produced by the AI have ascended the AI, and can now truly bring the character to life, almost seperate from the software used to replicate them. Incredible how this technology just seemed to pop up out of nowhere. I, for one, welcome our new AI overlords.

    • @AndreLuis-gw5ox
      @AndreLuis-gw5ox ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Which is actually depressing when you consider the implications. What of the voice actors? Are they replaced? Are the new ones eventually to be replaced? If nobody want to do this work anymore, are we going to have the same voices everywhere, like how Oblivion has 5 va's for hundreds of npcs?

    • @GeorgieBonsoir
      @GeorgieBonsoir ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@AndreLuis-gw5ox There's no way this technology, as it stands, nor as it will reasonably progress, will replace human voice actors. This tech can replicate the voice of a performance from an actor, but it is not capable of producing a new "character voice". The cadence, mannerisms, tone of voice, all of these things are taken from the original voice actor's performance, unable to be produced from scratch by the AI.
      The worst this tech will do is stop the original actors from coming back and recording extra lines for their character, for things like an expansion, or even an extra season of an animated show. But even then, I find it unlikely that directors will willingly go with this as an alternative, rather than the far more controllable option, which is the real thing.

    • @zoroasper9759
      @zoroasper9759 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@GeorgieBonsoir I think soon VAs will simply start recording a "AI package" set of lines to be used in a video game for a fee. Basically a tool box of sounds and inflections to be used specifically to create good sounding AI voice lines and apply them to more "mundane" stuff in games. We could be seeing a return to the old morrowind style ability to basically ask characters whatever the hell we want because they'll have a voiced line for almost anything with this tech. The "important" stuff that needs to be well acted will almost surely be done by your normal VA performance.
      Frankly I'm excited; I can see this tech leading us to have virtual worlds where people chat about stuff randomly and convincingly instead of that robotic "obivion style chat" or the repetitive Skyrim "arrow in the knee" lines.
